    Didn’t realise it wasn’t table service, it was explained to us when we arrived so were waiting to be served….but once we realised service was good and the food was delicious!

    Overall experience was good. Slight confusion as large board outside says wait here and nobody comes so you need to go in. Then there is a sign saying 'Order here' but they then come to your table. Server very nice and engaging, however everyone needs to smile as they seem very stressed Definitely go back again as atmospheric, food and beers good.

    Sitting outside with the lights on made us feel like we were on holiday! The food was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

    The Port is one of our favorite places and it was just as good as usual. The best pizzas, excellent beers and cider. This evening there was a great live band too!

    Table booked for 5pm was found to be unsuitable for disabled group member as the seating was high stools, and alternative table was only available until 6.30pm. By 5.30pm we had still not been able to place our drinks order, let alone food and had to go looking for a member of staff. Just about managed to finish our meal before the deadline and vacated the table to another table outside. After 30 mins we were asked to vacate that table also and there were no others available so we had to leave. I was not given a choice of table type when booking on line and was therefore very disappointed with the outcome. I have dined at The Port on several previous occasions without issue, but will now think twice about returning.

    Such a great place. Pizzas were delicious. Thin bases and great toppings. Had the cheese board too which was just right. Beers made on the property so were fresh fresh fresh.

    poor service, very lacklustre. Had to chase where drinks were, insufficient cutlery, starters not cleared before mains arrived.....not a great experience.

    Love this place, food and drink is incredible, and great value. Only thing that let it down was the very slow service, over 30 mins waiting for our drinks last night, maybe due to staff shortages and a busy Friday evening.

    The pizzas are amazing but the service is terrible. Felt like there was a lot of flapping going on and no one in charge. Real shame as it won’t take much to fix this. Noticed lots of people sat there with empty glasses…

    The only down fall was being constantly reminded about how long left we had on our booking and which made us feel rushed and almost like we were on a timer.
