The Prancing Stag is a family-run, award-winning neighbourhood restaurant specialising in modern, seasonal Scottish food, with the restaurant being awarded an AA Rosette award for culinary excellence 2022/2023/2024.

The restaurant is just off of Crow Road beside Jordanhill train station, just three stops from the Exhibition Centre, Events Campus & OVO Hydro. We're also only a short walk from Scotstoun show ground for the Glasgow Warriors Games. So, perfect for all your meals & drinks pre (and/or post) match or concert.

Our front of house staff strive to create a relaxed & friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy a meal with family, friends or colleagues. And, if there's anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable, please get in touch.

We were visiting Glasgow and wanted to explore a restaurant that offered true Scottish cuisine. Based on some reviews we decided to try this one ----and boy we were NOT disappointed!!!! The appetizers were delicious, combining several unique flavors. I had the wild reindeer Wellington....just superb ----and my friend had the fish of the day, in a sauce that made her want to lick her plate. The waiters were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is tucked away in a non-touristy spot and visually is not posh....But the food....well it was truly outstanding! Would highly recommend...and given that I've spent the last 15 years doing a lot of traveling out of the US....for both business and pleasure....this restaurant ranks up there among those that I'm glad I didn't miss. Five stars for sure!

First time eating here- and certainly won’t be the last. Fabulous market menu- great choice and food and service were excellent. Can’t wait to return.

This is a lovely local restaurant with lots of parking spaces. The decor is lovely and cosy, the food delicious and the staff excellent. It has a number of different menus with great specials. All in all a lovely Sunday lunch was had.
