    A fantastic roast in a lovely pub. The only thing that marked it down is we only had the table slot for 30mins before the next booking despite saying we wanted to eat in advance. Luckily the next person was chill and gave us the extra time but made the whole thing unnecessarily rushed.

    Very nice food. Not the cheapest place in the area, so disappointed to be charged for extra gravy when spending nearly £100 for two people already.

    Great Sunday roast - can't recall a better pub Sunday lunch in fact. Very good service too, good list of beers and a very drinkable house wine. Looking forward to returning.

    I ordered the Sirloin roast - the whole roast was amazing but the sirloin part was really off the mark. So fatty and chewy. Was super disappointed but I'd be back for the rest of it - just wouldn't order the sirloin again

    I barely got any chicken with my roast, it was mainly bones. Really disappointing.

    The Sunday Roast was great! Quality is back to its level Pre-Covid ... i.e. very solid gastro pub. Probably the best around Stokey. Very friendly and professional staff. Will need to try menu other day than Sunday.

    Good atmosphere and ok food and service, but quite pricey for what you get in comparison to other pubs nearby. We booked a table for 6 but had to ask people to free up the table when we arrived, and ask for two chairs. I’m sure we’ll be back, but probably just for drinks.

    I had made a booking for 4 people (me taking 3 guests), I had a reminder the day before asking me to confirm. When I arrived I was told that the kitchen was closed! Thankfully we found an excellent Indian restaurant nearby.

    Food was cold, drinks came late (came after the the food arrived.) Sent bread sauce back as it was cold, and more cold breadsauce came back. Not much meat on the chickens. Starters arrived after the main course. Choc brownie was delicious! Would recommend The Prince for drinks, but not food.

    Excellent Sunday roast. Every part of the plate was thought through with lashings of gravy. Delicious Bloody Mary and overall ambience gets 5 stars. Will be going back asap. Perfect for friends or family get together.
