We had a table of 10, no one enjoyed their food. Staff didn’t know what meals they were handing out. We asked if this was a particular meal his reply was ‘I guess so’ We had to wait 40 minutes for salmon, then had to send it back as the mash was super cold whereas the salmon was boiling. Live music was good.

Food and drink incredibly overpriced, serving sizes were small, food was cold and dry. Complaint not handled efficiently, had to tell multiple staff before anything was done. Spent over $100 for 2 people, and was compensated for our disappointment with a free juice. Overall, very disappointing.

You will certainly not walk away from The PUB feeling hungry. There is a smorgasbord which includes some hot choices, salads and deserts, which is included in most meals. The meals themselves were good and the prices at the top end of pub eating but there is a large variety of choices. The staff all were great, happy, nothing was too much trouble which was great considering how busy the restaurant was that night. My two issues were being charged an EFTPOS fee for paying with my card and being charged $6 for a post-mix soft drink of 200mls. The EFTPOS bit rankles me when large businesses do this as I work in merchant services. Why a business would see fit to charge me that fee for the card and then not charge the cash-paying customer a larger fee (EFTPOS fees are a third of the cost of having a cash-carrying service like Armaguard) is plain rude and not realistic in these days of doing business. On the night between four people, we put enough money through the PUB to have not been subjected to this cash grab. Most businesses won't do this and I was surprised that this one thought it was acceptable. The Post mix issue really bugs me as I don't mind the $6 just make it a large glass, kids drink through this quickly and you end up paying $18 to $24 for your child to have some raspberry lemonades. $6, pint glass, is a better look guys. On that basis, I would not recommend them as a place to go eat. There is nothing wrong with it as an eating experience but the little add on cash grabs make you feel less like a customer and more as a wallet. Improve those aspects guys and it would have made for a good night.
