The Pump House is a Grade II listed building which forms part of Wellington's huge textile industry heritage.
Stefano started renovating this gorgeous space himself 5 years ago using mainly recycled and upcycled materials, preserving original features and making additions sympathetic to its natural beauty.

We are a family-run business and our menu comprises Mediterranean, Mexican, Asian and, of course, Italian cuisine. All of our dishes are cooked from scratch using the best local ingredients where possible: in particular meat (local, free-range, outdoor-reared) and fish (from Brixham). Our pizzas are hand-stretched with homemade dough and topped with local mozzarella from Glastonbury: delicious!

We have a full bar with a comprehensive cocktail list, including our own inventions - all of our cocktails are also made from scratch by our mixologists - and offer a range of predominantly Italian wines.

This special space also hosts live music monthly: come check out the atmosphere!

    Amazing food and Cocktails and the service was fantastic our waitress so was lovely. The specials were amazing but there were ALOT would be good to have the written down on a board or some paper as it was too much to remember.

    Main issue was the need for the waitress to read a long list of specials as nothing was written down for the diners to read at leisure. 4 of the 6 'big bites' were not available replaced by a huge list of specials which we heard being read out numerous times to new diners. There must be a simple way of displaying that information to enable diners to choose their food without pressure to try and remember what is being said. We also had to ask the prices of each dish on the specials menu as this information was not forthcoming.

    Some of the best food we have ever had! The amount you get is amazing too. We were so full but couldn’t stop eating as it was so yummy! The staff were excellent too. Very friendly and made every effort to be as attentive as possible. Would highly recommend to anyone whos looking for good food and a great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

    Been to the pump house before, always good food, the specials are always amazing. Good parking to get to, just be aware if you're wearing heels that there is a stone floor outside. Cocktails are wonderful! beautifully presented and very unique.

    We have been many times to The Pump House the food is always exceptional. The owners and staff are always welcoming, helpful and amazing. If you have not yet been make sure you try it, you will not be disappointed. The cocktails are an added bonus 😀

    High quality food, best gluten free pizza I have had in the last 10 years, Quirky waiters, good swift service. Meals somewhat overpriced and lacking balance i.e. one meal had no veg ,another had no carbs and at those prices a little more would be good. But overall happy evening all enjoyed our food and the experience.

    A very disappointing visit to one of our favourite local eateries. Ordered a seafood dish from the specials and what arrived was totally overpriced for the £24 we should have been charged. One prawn, one “local” very skinny langoustine (with less meat than the prawn!) a small piece of monkfish and one new potato cut in half. Long story short this was a special meal to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday and the customer service we received after pointing this out to our server was pretty poor. I was lectured on the local langoustine use and the price of monkfish (which I’m well aware of), i asked for some more potatoes to be told they didn’t have any. No other resolution and that he would reduce the price of my meal. Luckily my daughter wasn’t hungry and happily shared some of her meal with me. I think our point is that the pump house did not try at any point during the meal to make sure we left happy customers. I left a hungry customer. We did chat to the owner whilst waiting for our lift home and she said she was sorry she hadn’t been aware of the problem. Unfortunately this was a little too late and being told they are only human and make mistakes didn’t really rectify a rather rubbish meal and experience.

    We had a wonderful evening. Very nice atmosphere, family run amazing food restaurant. And their cocktails! You must try. Wow factor. We end up had 3 each! Thank you, the pump house.

    My husband and I went to the Pump House on a Thursday evening, after recommendations from friends. We were not disappointed. It’s such a lovely looking place inside with a chilled vibe, incredibly friendly and progressional staff and amazing food. We will definitely be going back and have already recommended to others we know.

    It’s always a delectable experience eating at The Pump House. Stefano is an amazing chef and passionate about his food which is sourced, prepared and served with care. Together with his partner Jules they have created a beautiful space beside the river to dine, dance, spend time with friends and family - a place to enjoy the best things in life!

    We sat outside, in a warm covered area. Loads of great staff came by to say hello and we got everything we wanted quickly. Lovely atmosphere inside and out.

    Really nice quirky venue just on outskirts of Wellington. Very friendly service and pizzas were handmade and very nice. Dog friendly too which was an added bonus. Would recommend and will definitely be going back on a regular basis. Thank you.
