Really impressed from start to finish, staff were friendly, kind and helpful. Food was lovely, fast and served with enthusiasm. Left a healthy tip and huge thanks as the team were clearly focused on meeting customer needs. Furniture and fittings really made the place feel loved and cared for, all super. Would highly recommend, after visiting over many years , i have never seen the place look so good, or be so well staffed, bravo
Good, tasty food. Excellent alternative for a vegan. No waiting and the service was very satisfactory. Waitress was friendly and helpful. The Pyewip is a pleasant place to have an evening out. I have booked another meal for December.
Ordered the Indonesian root veg curry, extremely disappointed when it came out and the only veg in it was potatoes.
Several of the staff members gave off the impression they didn't want to be there and were quite rude.
It was a real let down as I used to love this place but haven't been for a while, not sure I will be returning.
Service by the two girls was excellent but the dessert was brought by a youngish lad who practically threw the food at us. He seemed very surly and perhaps upset?- but not with us I assume. We only had compliments for the food!
Excellent in every respect. Table was ready. Ambience was as we wanted it. Food, service an value for money were very pleasing
Pleasantly surprised after the narrow road you go down, the area opens up to a lovely and senic buildings. The food was fantastic and service was timely so you didn't feel rushed or forgotten. Would recommend a try.
Great Food, great service. Did not disappont. Worth a visit.
Quick, polite service.
Meal piping hot and lots of it ( we had Sunday Roast).
Staff attentive and friendly.
First time going, food was absolutely delicious one of the best roasts I’ve had. Lovely location. Will definitely be coming again
My first time at The Pyewipe. Great selection of choice on the menu with 3 daily specials. Food was really tasty.
Will definitely return.
Very good food, it was fairly quiet when we dined but it was lunch time.
Would definitely recommend
popular restaurant in a lovely riverside setting, riverside footpath to walk into lincoln (approx.40 minutes)
Lovely food, excellent service . Shame the apple crumble doesn’t come with custard 😳
Excellent food together with excellent attentive service keeps us returning !
Delicious and too many things I wanted on the menu.
Very friendly staff and excellent food. The ambience might have been better had it been busier (not the fault of the venue) but maybe we could have been seated in the smaller dining area which would have felt cosier.
We’ve booked for Christmas Day so wanted to come beforehand to try the food. The food was excellent and we were really pleased with it. The only thing that spoilt it for us was that we were asked to move to the bar area after eating. We asked why and were told that the table was reserved by someone else in 15 minutes. We had booked the table online and hadn’t been told there was a time limit on the table. I said this to the waitress and she said there wasn’t a time limit on the table but that table had been specifically booked by someone else. We didn’t specifically say we wanted this table and the restaurant had multiple tables free, so we couldn’t understand why we had been given the table we were on it if it had been booked by someone else later. The waitress wasn’t very apologetic and said that’s just their booking system and that we could move to another table. We were too annoyed by that point, so left. If this hadn’t of happened we would have stayed and spent more money on drinks so asking people to leave their table seems a bit odd.
On a Sunday, it would be nice to see more than one “roast” option available. A little more vegetarian choice would be nice these days.
Sadly our stark was not cooked as ordered but, this was rectified very politely and efficiently.
Went for Sunday lunch which was lovely. The only downside was one of our party doesn’t eat red meat and the only Sunday lunch served was beef. The a la carte menu was available though so he chose from that instead. The desserts are absolutely yummy!!
The Pyewipe is a gem of a place, set in a beautiful location. The food is exceptional and the staff very friendly. Lovely 25 minute walk along the canal in to Lincoln.
The Pyewipe is a nice pub situated at the end of a long and narrow track.
The staff were very efficient and friendly.
Since our last visit the menu seems very limited but the food was good.
My coffee was only luke warm on arrival but the staff quickly got me a replacement.
A pleasant evening.
The first pint of IPA was really nice, had to return the second as not nice at all. The food was only just edible, my battered fish was overcooked and hard, too much salt in children's mash potato and my husband said he food was bland. Menu was stapled together laminated paper which made first impressions poor, felt like we were in a club house in Skegness!
Great meal, impressive food, only took 1 star off as it took too long for the bill so we went to the bar to pay. Will definitely be one of our go to's and we've booked for Christmas.
4 of us booked Sunday lunch. Inside was busy maybe as the weather had dipped but everyone ate their meals and enjoyed it. The roast potatoes on the Sunday lunch were a bit hard and had possibly been reheated as not fresh but otherwise good.
Such a shame. Eating here for years but this was the final time. Poorly cooked fillet steak...came cooked 3 ways! Sauce had skin.....more mushrooms than steak on the plate. Not a £27 meal in anyway......Rectified with refund very prompt and no issues with service. But honestly get back to the pyewipe of pre 2019.
Nice pub, great setting by the canal with a varied menu. Food was prompt and well presented.
Great food served by lovely people in a wonderful setting. Very attentive and polite staff whilst maintaining a friendly approach.
Lovely Sunday lunch with our friends. The food was lovely.
I had the beef which was described as served pink, only thing I would say was that it was not pink at all, I like it pink. However it was tender and delicious. My friend had the fish and the boys both had chicken served with a blue cheese sauce. All was fab. We couldn't manage puds as we were too full.
The food was really really good, we really enjoyed our meals and would definitely recommend to friends. However it was really let down by the service. We stood at the front door for 10 minutes before being seated. All the staff are very young, late teens to early twenties and it gave off a student vibe. The tables are quite close together so we couldn't help but over hear the constant swearing on the table next to us.
I would definitely recommend this if you just want good food. If you are celebrating an occasion I wouldn't come here.
Great, great food, but a weatherspoon vibe.
Service very slow. We were ignored for a long time until we went to find someone. Of the four mains ordered only one was good. One was inedible.
Lovely staff excellent service and good value for money
Been here several times - great beer - lovely food - nice staff.
Food was great, service was quick and very polite
Will be going back to try other menu dishes
A nice cozy pub for an afternoon or evening drink.
The restraunt was also quirky and had a nice ambiance. But....
Food was bland despite the exquisite titles and names. For example, the "Indonesian chicken curry", was little more than a bland 'bog standard' pub curry with very little flavour. Could get better in Weatherspoon's. And the steak was poor quality for the price.
Pleasant atmosphere and the food was nice. However, my vegetables were too tough to cut with the knife so I just left them. Disappointed they didn't have any diet soft drnks in bottles or cans. They only had these on draught (which I hate as you can usually taste the cleaning chemicals). Nice location by the river. Quite a romantic setting.
Lovely pub on the waterway. Good food with attentive staff. Beer could be better though..
Overall a good visit.
We had come for a Sunday roast but unfortunately the only meat selection was beef and one of our party members has a beef intolerance. We ended up going to another local establishment that offered a variety of options. We were offered an alternative meal which contained chicken but we had come for Sunday roast. On previous occasions I have had good food here but I do think there needs to be more options for a Sunday roast.
Fab food, quick service and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Food excellent. Service a bit slow for desserts but they were very busy. A large party nearby made it noisy.
I have already written an extensive review when I first went there. The only point I would raise is please get your coffee machine either fixed or get another one.
