The Quadrant Restaurant & Bar
All of our dishes are prepared and cooked in house and to order, if you have any special dietary requirements or allergies notify the staff and we will be more than happy to help.
If you aren’t feeling peckish we also have a spacious bar area open Tuesday - Sunday from 12pm until 11pm.
We always advise booking, particularly of a weekend to avoid disappointment.
Already recommended this gorgeous restaurant to friends! The food was stunning, atmosphere was great and service was fantastic! Definately will be returning!
Lovely place fabulous food great service. Would definitely return Wine a little on the pricey side
Great restaurant with friendly helpful staff and delicious food.
An excellent meal as usual. Excellent service by Amy and the other waitresses. Great atmosphere
The only blib with our experience was the manager who served our food was her voice. It was so high pitched and came across as very false, like she was forcing herself to sound too cheery. I must say it grated after a while.
Loved the whole experience. The drinks were a little on the pricey side. Already arranging next visit! Thank you for a lovely time.
Lovely restaurant with a warm welcome always. Love the menu choices - meals or small plates with a lot of special touches. Had the chicken in white wine sauce which was cooked specially for me without onion or garlic, as I can't tolerate these, but still had beautiful flavours, and the Lime Posset was divine! My friend had the pork with cider and the strawberry meringue and we both finished every last drop!
Good to see the small plate menu back. Excellent food good service and value for money
We have used this restaurant many times both when it was the Portrait House and as the Quadrant. Has been one of our favorite local restaurants but disappointed with recent changes to the interior and more importantly the food. The main menu used to be good and varied and food was very good. Latest menu is less varied and choice diminished and food quality was not up to standard. The recent introduction of a small plates menu may have affected the variety on the main menu? Had to ask if a main menu was still available as only the small plates menu was offered on arrival.
A pity it has changed, loved it as it was before.
My husband I enjoyed our anniversary at the Quadrant.
The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The food was mouth watering and enjoyable. We both had king prawns to start, belly pork for our main and sticky toffee pudding. It was all well presented, hot and delicious.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
6 of us went for dinner, the restaurant was fairly quiet but it was mid week. The service could not be faulted in any way and the quality of our meals was very good. I would. It hesitate to recommend and will certainly return.
Lovely restaurant and great food, will definitely be back
A lovely eve, for the tapas tasting. Great G&T’s, 2for £10. The tapas was delicious and we scored all that we tasted. Service excellent as always
I attended the small plates tasting event
I was a little disappointed with the choice
No halloumi fries! The coley dish I had was excellent however, very fresh taste
I ordered a Rhubarb Gin with light tonic which was disappointingly served with fentimans tonic rather than my preference of fever tree, this changed the taste considerably, apparently fever tree was available too and it would have been nice to have been offered a choice
There was a child being allowed to run round by her parents who was noisy and distracting
All in all though it would not stop me coming back as I do love this place
One of our favourite restaurants food is lovely and great service
A better choice of background music would be an improvement
Lunchtime mid-week, it was very quiet but very very good.
The service, the food, the choice, the value were all top class.
I had the beef roast but the beef was a little chewy but edible. We had mum with us who has Alzheimer's and couldn't fault the staff but it was a bit chillier in there for mum.
Good food, great service. Very impressive decor, good atmosphere. Friendly, welcoming staff.
The new Spring Menu is delicious and so many new dishes to choose from including existing favourites such as the famous slow cooked ribs. We had the garlic and chilli Halloumi fries which were absolutely delicious, best around. I had the falafel on home-made vegan flat bread and once again the tastiest I have ever had. Another delicious meal, warm welcome and customer service. Never disappointed.
Found the dishes we ordered to be a bit too greasy. In spite of that planning a return visit, soon.
On a quiet and wet Tuesday, we were made very welcome, very nice and efficient service good food and hot, none of this modern idea that lukewarm is acceptable, and the restaurant was warm too. No problem using an Open Table dining cheque, we were very pleased
Nice setting, food was good however the fish dish did not have much taste to it. The wine was good and priced well. The mussels starter was very tasty and I would recommend it.
Lovely meal once again well worth s visit. Staff very friendly to.
Went with my family and had two courses. Ambience really nice and relaxed. Overall we enjoyed our meal. However, i had the Thai fish cakes and tasked more like scrambled eggs so they were disappointing. Rest of the meal really nice. My son loved the lentil dhal.
Highly recommended , staff are delightful and made us feel absolutely welcome . Gorgeous surrounding and the food is outstanding !! Menu is great to suit all ages . We will definitely be revisiting soon
Sunday lunch was fantastic- starter slightly cold but two courses for £16 was well worth it. Service quick but not overbearing. Would go again...just a pity Sunday lunch only served until 4pm but then again it would have to become Sunday dinner!
The food was outstanding, the service was friendly and attentive. It was a shame it was chilly in there! And hardly anyone else there on a Saturday lunchtime (possibly because it was chilly?) I would definitely go again, but would dress up warm, and would welcome some radiators on the walls.
With living locally 10 minutes from the restaurant, this is a place that will be here a long time!! Would of scored 5 stars, but I felt the spring roll was off putting with being so big. Would prefer two small ones!!
Favourite dish was the sizzling Moroccan Lamb with flat bread, so tasty & would definitely reccomend this dish!!
Staff very attentive as usual, but not over the top. Also liked the choice of background music!
Lovely food, great service, will definitely go again
Enjoyed our food we both had steak, which was cooked to our taste very well. This meal was served with chunky chips(very nice) but when served with a side dish of vegetables it contained small potatoes onion and broccoli. First of all could not understand why potatoes were included as we had chunky chips? Would have preferrd another veg such as carrots instead of potatoes. Also we were surprised to only be served the same amount of vegetables as a single diner, at the next table. So there wasnt enough between 2 people. There was only a sprig of broccoli for 2 people?
The Quadrant never disappoints, the quality and presentation of the food was excellent and the staff extremely professional and friendly and couldn’t do enough to ensure our evening was special. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Always our first choice when dining out - excellent service, great food and at a sensible price too.
A good quality restaurant with a nice menu. The food was very well presented and cooked well.
A bit pricey and the food came very quickly in succession which felt rushed.
Been here a few times and perfect food and service each time .
To say the least I had a mixed experience on my latest visit. On arrival we walked in to what could best be described as a school playground with children running around unchecked and some screaming their little heads off.
Luckily the party they were with started to leave as we took our seats.
We were a party of 10 and we were all comfortably seated.
Everyone commented on how good there first course was and between us I think we sampled everyone on the menu.
Unfortunately the mains in the main were a mixed bag to say the least and the five of us who opted for the roast beef felt the hardest done by,I myself had two minuscule slices of beef that were also stone cold,as was the Yorkshire pudding that it was hidden under and to make matters worse whilst it was served pink and rare as I requested it was as tough as old boots!!The vegetables and roast potatoes on the other hand were excellent and piping hot.
One of our party when asked what her fish and chips was like commented that it was more like sardine and chips referring to the size of her fish.
Those that had room for a sweet course were very happy with their food and the Xmas pudding was superb.
Lovely food and great surroundings. The service was great too. Would recommend it for any occasion.
Had the 3 course Christmas menu £24.99. Great value and good choice of each course. Restaurant was quite busy which was nice and service was excellent.
Great food, value for money and attentive service without being overwhelming.
Good location good food and excellent service. Flexible in allowing us to choose selection of starters as we had gone specifically for the tapas but not available
