Had Sunday lunch here last week, amazing value for money, very good quality and generous portions. Service was very efficient and courteous. Would definitely recommend and will return.
Evening meal with friends, with wonderful service and great food , would definitely recommend
A very attractive restaurant, modern, spacious and cool in decor. Very good food with a good price tag. Good service and easy to book online.
Really friendly and welcoming venue. Spacious and will be recommending to friends & family.
Food was delicious and staff was friendly. Would highly recommend.
Food was piping hot and very nice but the restaurant was not very busy so there was no atmosphere. Good attentive service and reasonably priced. Would go again
I had dinner here on Friday night and the food was delicious! I had crab and lobster linguine and ate every last bit. And the dark chocolate almond brownie was amazing - I thought it might be sickly because it’s dark chocolate - but no, it was perfect! I will definitely be coming back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food was delicious, partner had the sea trout with wild mushrooms, crushed potatoes & truffle garden pea sauce & my steak was cooked just how I like it. Puddings were also very tasty. Waiting staff very attentive. We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
Excellent sevice, food good, good value for money, very friendly staff. Would go again
Good food, excellent service and. Nice place to dine.
Changed menu same day.Paid six pounds for bread that should have been free.Steak was un eatable like shoe leather.Told waitress about steak i will tell chef she said .No body had the decency to get back to us.I would not recommend your restaurants to any one.And we live in Deal had friends to dine with us and they were disappointed with meal.
I have eaten hear 4 times now in the last few weeks. I am so impressed with the new chef and the manager. Service with a smile and really good food. The Gluten Free options make it extra special for me. And if you ask they do GF batter.
Lovely position beside Deal Pier. Food excellent but service rather slow considering they weren't very busy.
lovely location, helpful service and good food. I had the mussels which were excellent! very noisy though, perhaps just people in that evening so will be coming again.
Excellent lunch with attentive staff, good choice on menu. Noise level rather high due to very large party.
The food was very good and the service spot on. I would definitely go back again. The only thing was that it was early on a Monday lunchtime and the place was pretty much empty which was a shame.
We have previously had a great Sunday roast here but visiting on a Saturday evening was a big disappointment. 3 different meals. All took ages to arrive despite not being overly busy. 2 of the 3 meals were bland with little or no seasoning and definitely not worth the money. Ordered 2 desserts but as they had sold out ended up with just one and that took ages to turn up. When it did it was nice but to he honest the evening was an anti climax on what we had hoped for. Especially after such a great meal from their Sunday menu.
We had an early lunch so there were not many others eating. The menu was varied and the food was lovely. We have already recommended the restaurant to others.
Lovely food but not the friendliest service - not sure a father & young son (13) were their usual/expected guests??
Extremely long wait for our starter. That said, food was excellent. Waitress and manageress both apologised and we received a free drink each and were not charged for our starters.
We arrived at the Restaurant and it was about half full, on sitting down and ordering was within 10 minutes but it took one hour to receive our starters of a fish cake and 5 Calamari rings and a further forty five minutes for are main course there was only one other table eating, the waitress was very apologetic for the delay overall the food was ok but the kitchen may need to speed up.
Good evening with friendly and attentive staff. Well situated restaurant opposite the pier. The only downside was the length of time for the food to arrive. But as we were happily talking, and the food was worth the wait, not a massive problem. But not somewhere to go if you're in a hurry.
As a coeliac I came into the restaurant because it advertised gluten free. It had a good choice of GF food, but the waitress was rather abrupt with me when I politely asked if they new about cross-contamination issues. Staff should be made aware that coeliacs have to check such things when going to a restaurant that they have not frequented before - we are not GF out of choice and not all restaurants that serve GF are aware that, for instance, chips must be cooked in a dedicated fryer in fat that has not been used for frying gluten- containing foods.
On arrival we were seated drinks order taken , then waited 15 minutes for them to arrive, had to ask three times for a jug of water , our food order was taken and after waiting for an hour the waitress apologised and said would like a complimentary drink, declined and walked out. It appeared to be being run by school kids with no manager never again
The service was poor and the salad accompanying the steak was limp, dry and unappetising.
Our food was in edible and we sent it all back. I would not recommend any part of this restaurant. We waited an hour and a half for the food as well. I paid full price for all this as well.
We dined here last June and loved it, so naturally gravitated towards it again. The menu was the same and we had high hopes again. When we arrived there was nobody in the restaurant. It took at least 15 minutes to be asked for our drinks order. There was a lot of waiting throughout the course of the meal. By the time we finished there were only 3 other tables full - no real excuse for the slow service.
All that being said, the food was faultless.
All very good but service was very slow. Not sure why as restaurant wasn't that busy.
Staff were very polite when I questioned why service was slow so all good in the end.
I feel the menu didn’t have as much choice as on my previous visit ,
This was our first visit and we were very disappointed should have realised as it was very empty on a Saturday night. We had expected an upmarket fish restaurant but the fish and chips could have come from the local chippy! We waited for an hour and twenty minutes for our main course to arrive and the staff mentioned that maybe we could have free coffee afterwards but frankly we couldn’t wait to leave! Disappointed that the deputy manager on duty didn’t do better.Overpriced and underwhelming especially as there are plenty of excellent alternatives in Deal.
Marlborough wine too expensive
friendly staff, good service, knowledgeable and the food was well presented/cooked, great seat by the window overlooking the sea...knocked you on VFM - bottle of Rioja £31? really?
My steak way too over seasoned with salt! Went in on a Monday night and the only customers all night. However still an enjoyable night. Everyone else’s food was good except a bit too much salt in the vegetables. My steak was replaced, which was delicious. Best thing again about the restaurant is the service, you can’t fault it. Sitting in one of the new booths by the front was great just looking out at the pier and watching the world go by!
We have visited your restaurant for breakfast and was very impressed with the value and the quality of the food so decided to go back for dinner. We looked at the menus on the outside of your restaurant and was pleased to see that you did other options apart from fish. When we arrived we were given the a la carte menu with only a few non fish options. I did ask if there was another menu as I had seen one with pasta on but was told this was the only one they had.
Three of us had starters but the other three didn't. We were told that the soup was spicy parsnip but we didn't realise it would be quite as spicy as it was! It was far too hot and we couldn't finish it. Our plates were cleared and at first we appreciated a little wait in between courses but after about half an hour of waiting we had to chase our dinners. As some of our group had not had a starter it was a long time to wait. The table behind us had the same issue with their mains and then their desserts (which if i am honest put me off ordering a dessert). The food arrived and I can not complain at all about the quality - it was really good. My only criticism is that there was too much batter on the scampi. My daughter and her boyfriend had the mussels and they said they were the best they had tried and my son had the steak which he also enjoyed. The food was reflected by the prices and so this would be somewhere that I would visit for a treat but not somewhere I could go on a regular basis.
A very enjoyable evening. I had asked for a window seat and we had one reserved for us. The atmosphere was relaxed and we didn't feel rushed. Food was very good and the service was excellent. Made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend and will be going again.
We arrived at 7.15, ordered drinks and just a main meal each. Our food did not arrive until nearly 8.30. As there were very few people in the restaurant we all felt this was too long to wait. The food was very enjoyable apart from the Eton Mess which turned out to be Parfait instead of what was expected. Unfortunately, we couldn’t recommend the restaurant with that level of service. There appeared to be just two people doing everything.
Food really great and such good value. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to all my friends.
Excellent service from Garry with fantastic value on the Sunday roast! Definitely going back for more
Everything was good except for:
Time we waited was 45 mins from ordering food. Unacceptable. If itv wasn't for this I would recommend to all my friends. The booking was for 2.15 and by the time it arrived the dining room was one quarter full. I did tell them that I would have to go if it didn't come soon. As I have 5 joint replacements I cannot sit for too long. As it was, someone had to walk me round the block during the long wait, we were all fed up.
This is my 2nd visit, but I cannot run tbe risk of sitting for so long agsin. Also we had to go re gomyo free and desserts.
2nd ... not such a problem..... The round tables in centre of room are no good for retired folk. Well some of them anywsy are a bit deaf. Acoustics need looking into.
Awful place
Hopeless service by unskilled non caring people
Had to get up to order my own drink, waited 50 mins between courses
Really over priced rubbish
Don’t ever go there and waste time and hard earned money - dump
