   Have eaten here several times before and enjoyed the food and experience. Sadly this time was different. we were the only ones eating and the kitchen managed to totally over cook my wifes fish. The batter was inedible. The item was not charged for but it still spoiled the visitt.

   I wasn't happy with the service. And it wasn't first time. Definitely will look for other places with roast dinner

   We booked a table for a mealtime that was later than we would normally opt for due to necessity - our plans during the day dictated the time we would return. That said, it would not prevent us from returning! The menu selection was varied and food quality good. One of the starters (mushrooms) disappointed as it wasn't as expected. Poor choice or description that needs to be reviewed? The main courses opted for were more than ample, in fact the Southern Fried Chicken Stack was too big and the coating seemed overcooked although the flavour was lovely. A significant proportion of theses two meals were uneaten. In hindsight, perhaps better chosen without a starter or a different combination of starter and main meal. The pub itself is lovely, warm and welcoming. We were from out of area and had opted for the venue due to its proximity to the activities our weekend entailed - we would definitely recommend tThe Queens and hope to return in the near future.

   You couldn't fault anything. The staff were polite and very friendly. Nothing was to much trouble. The menu was very good value. Would highly recommend.

   As always, excellent food (chicken liver parfait starter and sirloin of beef main), prompt yet discreet service and relaxed atmosphere. The beef was so tender that teeth were not required. Have enjoyed many meals here and hopefully many more in future. Perfect Sunday lunch.

   Go to Queens several times a year including for our Christmas work party. The food is always lovely. On the recent visit, the service was not great. One of the waitresses kept huffing as she walked away from our table. The same waitresses was asked twice for a straw which never appeared and eventually a male server was asked and he brought it straight away. Two hours after we arrived, the same waitresses rudely told us that we had to vacate the table even though we hadn't all finished our puddings. I appreciate that the table is needed after two hours but don't offer the desert menu if there isn't enough time to bring it out and allow us time to eat it. There was a fly in one of the meals but we believe this may have flown in from the open window. Queens did take that meal of the bill for us and that appreciated. A bit disappointed about the customer service as I had recommended the restaurant and family have said that although food was nice they would not come back again.
