The Queen's Head Pub
The Queens Head is our favourite pub for food. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Very attentive service. Food was very good.
Met some friends for Sunday lunch. Everybody enjoyed their food. Nicely presented and plenty to eat. I had the vegetarian nut roast and it was probably one of the best I have tasted.
We were not rushed even though we had opted for early dinner and they were getting busy by the time we were finishing.
Friendly staff, very welcoming.
Most enjoyable sunday lunch for a long time, the Staff were very friendly and helpfull.
A lovely Pub which values food quality and a friendly welcome. The meals are consistently very good and we are never disappointed.
Another lovely visit to the Queens Head. We got greeted with smilies and handshakes. Staff all dressed smartly and all very polite. Food was delicious and plenty of it, I couldn’t finish eating my roast.
Highly recommended and will be back there again soon
This was our first visit to the Queens Head, we went for a surprise birthday meal for the daughter, the staff were very helpful and had set the table up very nice for us, the food was of very good quality and was well presented. We will definitely return again to this lovely village pub.
Absolutely beautiful pub, gorgeous location and staff who couldn’t do enough to make the experience lovely. The food was fantastic, absolutely gorgeous. The best local pub I’ve been to. Portions were large, maybe a little too big! Reasonable value for money but a little pricey, not a pub you could visit regularly but on a special occasion would be absolutely perfect.
Excellent food and service. Lovely old pub plenty of parking and space and garden.
I always enjoy coming to the Queen's Head. The food is great, the staff are helpful and friendly.Ehat more could you want?
We usually would recommend the Queens Head but we’re disappointed this time. The beef was very chewy and the Elton Mess was not up to standard. We will leave it a while before returning
Great staff who looked after us, great food which we all really enjoyed especially the desserts
Really tasty food, and good choice. We loved their pork bellow and lamb shank, both of which were prepared superbly. Presentation of the food was truly sumptuous and it was mouth-watering to look at.
Lovely friendly people too.
Nice pub with lovely food - something for everyone. Only reason for 4 not 5 stars was parking is a little bit and miss (Which isn’t the pubs fault but might impact your meal) and no cocktails available on the night we visited which was a shame! Otherwise everything was lovely. We will go back again
Really great food, beautifully cooked and presented, warm and friendly staff, very pleasant atmosphere. We have been here several times now - worth the drive down from London!
Food and service were excellent, we shall return.
Good and friendly service, an extensive menu, very good food at a very reasonable price and a nice ambience combined to provide an excellent and enjoyable lunch.
We had a lovely evening with friends and family the day before my niece's wedding. The staff at The Queen's Head did everything possible to accommodate guests arriving early, requesting all types of different food, organising a garden area for us to use and generally being very helpful. They were fantastic.
Good pub food. Worth a look if you are in the area. Service was excellent.
Definitely my favourite pub in Hampshire! Super cozy and welcoming. Food is wonderful, service is brilliant, overall great. 10/10
Very warm and friendly welcome, delicious food at a very reasonable price
Excellent service, food quality, surroundings. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Food and atmosphere in the pub was excellent. Waiters all very helpful and friendly and no one was rushing us along at any time. We enjoyed a great evening
This pub ticks all the boxes great setting, decoration, food but above all service 2nd to none. Will definitely be back again
Great little pub with fantastic food and a lovely atmosphere. Plenty of parking spaces and outdoor seating.
A very pleasant occasion, enjoyed by all. The service was attentive and the food very enjoyable.
The Queens Head was the first Pub Restaurant we tried when we moved to the area 2 years ago. Although we have eaten at others in the area since it has still not been beaten!
Staff were mist welcoming providing excellent service. All chosen courses were well cooked and most important, very tasty. Have also had Sunday Roast there which was fantastic, only marred by a poor Apple Crumble. However, it didn’t stop me going back. I thoroughly recommend a visit.
We had a lovely experience. Ambience was excellent, food was outstanding and we will be visiting again soon.
A friendly and inviting environment to enjoy a sociable meal with my family and friends.
Overall the Queen's Head Pub was very good. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Both of us thought the main course that we ordered was very good but the pudding was,to be honest, very mediocre. We both ordered Apple crumble and custard but the Apple was very sweet. I have a sweet tooth so I could eat it but my partner found it inedible for her. I thought the crumble was very hard in places and there was a ratio of about 3:1 for crumble to apple.
Very good food and service the staff were very friendly and helpful
This is a fab place. Service is excellent and the food is good hearty fare.
Have visited The Queen's Head on a number of occasions, always a pleasure to return.
Whilst we did have a problem with one main course, this was quickly rectified.
Great choice of main courses, the slow cooked pork is especially outstanding.
Service is both friendly and attentive. Great value for money.
We shall return!
I booked lunch here based on Tripadvisor comments, and was not disappointed. The food was excellent (lamb shanks for both of us), there was a good selection of beers, spacious inside and plenty of parking. We will visit again.
Lovely find, we were over to see family in Hampshire and to be honest we tried other places to eat which were full as it was Easter Bank Holiday, so glad the other places were full. We reserved a table for 4 and booked on line. It’s a lovely looking pub and we were greeted by friendly and very nice waitress who seated us and took our order for drinks. We even lucky to sample the Zinfandel as myself and my aunt could not decide which wine to have (thank you). The food was cooked to a high standard and was throughly enjoyable, desert was a simple affair but was very good. Overall very enjoyable.
Lovely old school pub. Cosy, friendly staff and beautiful food.
The Sunday roast was perfect.m. Great service, very friendly.
Lovely food and staff were friendly. Thought it was a bit quiet for a Saturday night but had a nice evening. Would return
A pleasant pubby atmosphere, the four of us have eaten lunch there occasionally in the past and return thanks to the good food and village location. The service is always friendly and perfectly efficient. It was quiet on a sunny Wednesday, I hope they get plenty of business at the weekend to keep them solvent! I don't mind background music but it needs to be kept fairly quiet, it was occasionally intrusive though not enough to ask for it to be turned down. The main courses were very enjoyable (sea bass & pork belly) and portions good. Puddings were substantial too. Prices seem quite high for the type of establishment but we appreciate that these out-of-town and country eating places need the revenue if we want them to remain, so no problem. Well worth a drive in the countryside to give it a try.
