Had a great evening with some friends at the Queens Head. It was their first "burger night" and the food was brilliant.

We were looking for a pub for a business meeting with good beer and came across this online. Service was great, food and beer great and a log fire to boot. Definately on the list of pubs to meet at again.

I had prawn gratinee starter and the roast belly pork main. Both well cooked and tasty. Good comforting oub food on a cold grey day.

Well done!

Our last visit was approx. 4 years ago and we weren't sure how it had changed as new owners. We were greeted at the door with a very warm welcome. Good food and wine and a very good service. The restuarant was very busy (Remembrance Sunday) with families and children (children all well behaved).
We will be back in a few weeks for an evening meal.

They run out of roast potatoes (again) however the staff made up for it as they are very very friendly and attentive and the food is pretty good. Roast beef and the belly pork were delicious. Will be returning ( just need to do more spuds)

Outstanding Gastro experience, don't miss it! Wonderful off the beaten track gem. Cozy and pretty inside, warm friendly staff, wide selection of simply amazing food. Cannot recommend them enough (and their pizza oven will soon be back in action), we'll be back for their Sunday lunch extravaganza ;)

My first visit on recommendation was pleasing. The food was lovely and hot and very well presented and tasty. I would definitely eat there again. Only one slight negative it would be nice if the dining area could be better segregated from the customers who are there for just a few drinks as we had a bit of a noisy crowd of drinkers on the next table which spoiled things a bit for us.

Starters and main delicious. Felt apple crumble was a bit of a microwaved dessert which was a shame.

We hadn't been for a few years so we decided on the night to book up. The food was very good, the service was excellent. There is a good variety on the menu so should suite most people.
We will be going again and won't leave it so long unless we have another lockdown.

We were quickly welcomed and seated. I didn't like the position by an outside door. We got moved quickly. Which was good.
Excellent service as always. The roast chicken was excellent. The beef was delicious. The lamb was not so good according to two people out of my party of four. I will recommend eating here as the lamb was excellent 7 weeks ago.
You know when you buy meat you get good and not so good. Try the pub and leave your own review.

They do leave alot of dirty glasses on the bar as it is a popular place and only got a small glass washer probably.

We’ve been here a few times over the years unfortunately it’s now looking dark and tired. The staff were very friendly and welcoming but the food, especially the specials, were quite pricey. My mushroom starter was filled with so much cheddar it felt like I was chewing a tyre! However the sea bass (2 big fillets) was lovely

We had a lovely family Sunday lunch. The service was exceptionally good and very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and fairly priced for the quality. My daughter is autistic and the noise levels were not too high inside because of the soft furnishings and partitions. Lovely and cosy.

The lovely waitress didn't act like we were crazy when my daughter needed to make sure that no-one would come and chop her head off because of the name of the pub. She genuinely needed to make sure :0)

Absolutely love the history of the place. Highly recommended!

We ate outside because the weather was so lovely. The garden area was well set and gave you the opportunity to immerse yourself into the village atmosphere. Service was great from the two young gentlemen who served us. We were given a warm welcome with friendly smiles. We had a lovely goats cheese salad. We’ll definitely be back
