The Queens Head Sheet
friendly local pub atmosphere. young hard working and obliging staff. all-round pleasant experience
Small but friendly pub was very busy, assuming that was due to being Valentines night. Great tasting food, service straight to the point. Tables very close together.
Great food and service
Always cracking food here, highly recommended for everyone. Very dog friendly too :)
We visit The Queens Head every Christmas and this year, as usual, it was warm and welcoming with a cosy atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and actually smile (a rare occurrence these days!)
The roast beef was very nice but somewhat overpriced. I had a risotto which was average and, again, a little overpriced for quality and quantity.
We will be going back in March so hoping for the usual quality food at more sensible prices.
Warm and inviting, table in the back bar, table behind door a little cramped. Enjoyed food and ambience Quite pricey special - sea bass fillet. Would return for better value meal.
Very nice evening with good choice of food and drink. Pizzas very tasty and the affogato dessert had a great coffee taste. Will definitely go back! :-)
Food is always good even if the young staff could do with a few lessons in customer service. Never tire if going to Queens Head
Very nice Sunday lunch, risotto over cheesy though, great value kids menu.
Excellent food, good service and a nice atmosphere.
Good food and ambience. Service excellent. Good choice of beers
Lovely 'local' pub: nice atmosphere, great food with warm, friendly staff. This is a superb place to go anytime and enjoy the experience.
We had a great evening here. Nice busy atmosphere, helpful stuff, great wine and food. If we lived near we’d be regulars!
I am very fortunate that It’s my local. Great selection of beers and good Italian food menu and a great traditional Sunday Lunch
Although they only do pizzas and burgers on Sunday night the fact it’s authentic Italian food means that it’s a lot more interesting and higher quality than it sounds. The pub itself is exactly what you want from an English village pub, big garden for the summer and roaring fire in the winter. Every time I go in I try one of the guest beers I don’t recognise and it’s always good.
Lovely atmosphere at this pub.
We came on a Sunday and had a great lunch, food was great and they had a jazz duo playing which made for a really relaxing afternoon.
Only downside was that service was very slow, and items where forgotten about on more then one occasion.
Overall wouldn’t let the service effect me on coming back, we had a great time.
Good value and very tasty. Starters arrived quickly and were very nice. Our mains arrived shortly after and again tasted amazing. Great value food and drink
We were a party of 9 so food took a little long but not a problem. Really good service & our Swiss relatives were impressed with this very English pub!
Excellent cheerful and efficient service especially as it was a Saturday evening. Food was presented well and enjoyed by the two of us. We have dined here before and not been disappointed. Good range of beers, wine etc. We sat in the beer garden before eating. It is child and dog friendly.
There is a car park on site as well as on the roads nearby Would recommend this as a lovely place to visit. Nice to be met by cheerful smiling staff
All good. Our party of 4 all enjoyed all courses and will come back again.
Great local pub with a good Italian kitchen. Beer and wine selection, particularly to accompany the food, are very good. Not a gastropub by any stretch and all the better for it, maintains its rural charm.
Risotto special was delicious
Lovely meal in a nice setting for a group of 10 people and 3 dogs. Hope to return soon.
Great food + environment + service and also good value
This is a lovely pub. We were here on a busy Mothers Day but food and service were both still held to a very good standard. Pizzas as good as many fancier and more expensive places, and the range and quality of beer on offer here is better than any Italian restaurant!
The weather was a little chilly so we didn't get to try out the beer garden, but in summer I bet it's a delightful place to come.
Lovely village pub. Nice combination of diners and local drinkers making for a good atmosphere. Really good Italian menu, three of us had pizza which was very good, and my friend had the ravioli with truffle oil which was amazing! Desserts also very good - highly recommend the blood orange panna cotta. The wine list is also worth a mention as featured some less well known Italian wines. Will definitely go back.
Very friendly service behind the bar and at the table. Good italian food. Especially good desserts. Overall good value and would return.
Met with friends from out of the area, all bar one of us had a roast. The exception was a vegetarian for whom no veggie roast option was available. No custard available for desserts either but otherwise the food was amazing.
Had a 3 month old baby with us and thee were no changing facilities which was disappointing.
We were a table of four, seated in the bar. It was a very pleasant evening and the food was extremely good. The pub was buzzing with a mixture of ages. Would certainly recommend.
We were greeted by a man telling me the kitchen closed at 2.30 and I shouldn’t of been allowed to book the 2.30 slot online. He was abrupt which really switched my very happy & chilled Christmas Eve mood pretty quick into feeling guilty and rushed.... We were told to order quickly!! My chicken risotto also had no chicken in which at £14 I thought was a bit of a liberty! The kitchen also missed off a meal then everyone had gone home so I shared my chickenless risotto with my friend so she could eat... That’s the most reluctant £94 I have ever spent, I would of complained but no one was about and I just wanted to leave!
A cosy pub with lovely open fire and welcoming staff. The food is first class and we thoroughly enjoyed the salmon and asparagus risotto. Definitely going back.
We were made very welcome and the waitress was friendly. None of our roast dinners were hot or particularly plentiful; for £14 a head I thought it was poor value. If we hadn't been treating an elderly relative, I would have complained. The dining room was also draughty.
Mostly Italian variety menu with Burgers on offer as well. Excellent service, friendly atmosphere.
