Extremely friendly, prompt and welcoming service. There were only a few tables, well-spaced, and separate to the bar area. Quiet, warm surroundungs. Good was tasty, good portions and good value for money.
Felt that not enough attention was being paid to Corona virus safety measures, in general.
Felt really uncomfortable with waiting staff leaning in and over us, without them wearing any sort of mask or shield.
The bar area felt crowded with younger generation out for a drink.
On the positive side, we enjoyed our food and drinks, and prices were appropriate. We would definitely return, but after Covid.
The best roast I’ve ever had and it’s consistently excellent. The service is second to non with a great atmosphere the space is always very clean and welcoming.
Delicious meal and friendly service from Bryce in relaxed gastropub surroundings. Main course was really great. Starters felt a little humdrum in comparison though.
We were very impressed by the service and general management of this place. We ate two excellent pizzas and side salads. It's understandably busy on a Saturday night. Make sure your table isn't near ill behaved children.! We had to move!
Lovely warm and friendly staff, and a very good tapas menu. Main menu could do with a few more staples maybe but everything I’ve had in there since reopening (6 or 7 visits) has been of a very high quality indeed.
We love the Queens whether just for a drink, eating in or the lovely take-away pizzas. Food is always amazing and the staff are always very welcoming and friendly.
Had a lovely Sunday roast
Highly Recommend and will be back
Fantastic Sunday roast - one of the best I’ve had. Went for the triple meat and it was simple amazing. Well done.
The Queen’s Inn is a beautiful venue, the food was delicious, service was excellent and ambience of the restaurant was fantastic I’d definitely recommend!
Great food, staff really nice, had a lovely evening
Great food, great staff, great place , excellent choice and lovely setting
Absolutely excellent, fantastic food and very friendly staff, will definitely be going back very soon. Really can’t recommend highly enough....
Really enjoyed our evening at the Queens inn. The service was outstanding even though is was busy. The staff were polite and friendly. The food was fantastic. We will be back soon.
The food was very good and the service was quick and efficient. The restaurant was pleasantly busy but not crowded.
We sat by the kitchen and it did get smelly and smokey when the kitchen staff fried some bacon.
First time at the queens head, warm welcome on arrival, friendly staff, 3 roast dinners and one burger, roast dinner was ok, not the biggest portion was slightly disappointed the pork was a belly cut rather than from a roast cut, small roast potatoes but the accompanying vegetables where very tasty
The burger was enjoyed and served with fries and onion rings looked a better choice than the roast
Brilliant service and brilliant food will definitely be going back
Visited on a quiet lunchtime. Good veggie options and nice wine list.
Superb. We went here for dinner, which was first class and then returned for breakfast. The service is outstanding and the quality of food and variety can not be faulted. I wish this was my local as it’s one of the best pubs we’ve visited in a long time.
No baby changing facilities whatsoever I got told to change my baby on a chair in the ladies toilet. Our anniversary meal was also ruined by another family arguing non stop throughout our entire meal .
Excellent meal and good value, .found the service a bit slow but very attentive when they did serve.not too busy so don’t know why the service was so slow. Will definitely call in again and leave lots of time for service...
Really lovely pub, always a pleasure to visit with delicious food and friendly staff.
Service was exceptional, very polite & helpful with our order
Service could have been faster. We waited nearly an hour for our food and the children were getting desperately hungry.
Great food, brilliant service and always
An enjoyable place to ve
An enjoyable night at The Queens Inn.. food was great. My mum did have chillis in her salad, which weren’t listed so a bit of a surprise..but it didn’t detract from the experience. Can’t fault the food... drinks were a bit pricey (Gin & Tonic), but I was expecting that.
Lovely setting, very friendly and attentive staff and we were able to sit outside too. Tapas were delicious. Loos are amazing with really nice hand wash
Was very concerned that with the current situation that we are in that not 1 member of staff was wearing and protective ppe . No masks no shield no gloves . Cutlery was handed to you as normal and servers were not keeping social distancing . This was not what I expected since I have been to other restaurants and all was covered above to make safe . Definitely will not be going back
Superb food and staff and value. Loved it thank you.
I’ve been to the Queen’s Inn twice in the last week. The service is super friendly and fast. The food is fantastic. You can go traditional pub fare or tapas, which uncovers done amazing flavours such as Thai Curry scollops and heavenly chipolatas. The beer is cold and wet too. All round top marks.
Little disappointed with waiting time between courses. But still excellent and a nice little surprise for out 25th wedding anniversary, of a decorated plate of fresh fruit and glass of bubbly. Overall top marks. Recommend to every one
Great restaurant, welcoming, good food and reasonably priced.
One of the best pub roast dinners I have had in a long time!
Delicious food, great service from friendly staff & lovely decor. Will definitely go back.
Good variety, all of the food that came out looked good.
Houmous was really tasty and homemade bbq sauce was amazing!
Only criticism was I felt the chicken breast in my burger needed tenderising.
Definitely coming back to try one of their pizzas!
Went for mid-week lunch the food and service was excellent.
Superb food, good wine selection, efficient and friendly staff, highly recommended.
Beautiful food. Plenty of choice for vegetarians. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Recent visit to The Queens Inn first since it reopened. Went for lunch and it was lovely. Food was excellent as always staff very careful about hygiene and distancing etc and was a nice atmosphere. Well done to all.
All the food was excellent, and the pub is lovely! Only slight concern was the social distancing aspect-- under normal circumstances would not be a problem, but there didn't seem to be much in the way of PPE or enforced guidelines. But everything else was brilliant, friendly staff and good service
