Really nice pub. Recommend. Friendly staff. Nice food.
We use the queens regularly as we live nearby and we always pleased with the service and food they provide. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to friends and family. Keep up the good work.
My daughter, her partner and my grandson were over from Italy for the Christmas period and as part of their holiday we treated them to a meal at The Queens. There were five of us in the party and all of us enjoyed the meal. The three of them all agreed that they would like to return to The Queens on their next visit
Great food, outstanding service. We will definitely be returning with friends
Main restaurant was clean and friendly although a little chilly but not cold. Food very good. Car park needs attention as it is difficult in very wet weather. Staff very polite informative and friendly
Had Sunday lunch recently and it was excellent - generous portions of delicious roast beef served medium rare and a good selection of vegetables. The large Yorkshire pudding defeated me, but was very tasty.
Four of us went in for a roast and have to say one of the best roast dinners we have eaten out! Really friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere thank you 😊
Really nice ambiance, drinks choice great, steak was undercooked and chewy, wouldn’t recommend, chicken terrine nice and cheesecake was amazing, would go back and have different main as other people’s looked lovely
My wife and I dined at lunchtime and the restaurant was about half full. We had the salmon terrine starter and went on to the stone bass for the main course. Both were very nicely presented and excellent. The course sizes were just right and the service was first rate. My wife missed the desert course while I had the pear crumble. The server recommended a wine for us to accompany the fish. It was a New Zealand Runnymead Sauvingnon Blanc and was spot on. Overall we could not fault any aspect of the meal or the service and look forward to returning with friends fairly soon.
Six of us had Saturday lunch here, excellent food, good staff. Really enjoyed ourselves.
Our roast belly pork was lovely as were most of the vegetables, but the cauliflower was very ‘al dente’ and the Yorkshire pudding was cold. Wine was good and reasonably priced. The young lady serving us was excellent, friendly and helpful, and ensured that my food was gluten- free as requested.
Lovely tasty lunch in relaxed atmosphere with attentive but not over bearing staff. The halloumi salad was delicious as was the Malteser cheesecake - particularly the chocolate sorbet that accompanied it. Would recommend.
Very nice food, good service, will go back to try other restaurant.
One of my favourite places to eat. Food and service are always excellent. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere
Both quality of food and service were very good and provided excellent value. Restaurant was a little quiet on a Tuesday evening and lacked a little buzz but that didn’t detract too much from what was a surprisingly good experience. Breakfast was also very good.
Great food, comfortable seating. Good service from friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
Amazing! My new fav pub want to go again this Sunday
I have yet to have a bad experience at The Queen's Inn - they just never disappoint. Always a warm welcome, good ambience, excellent service and a fabulous menu - choices to suit everyone. My friend and I shared the Japanese Tuna and the Teriyaki Salmon dishes and both were absolutely delicious. We will be back! Thank you.
A small restaurant with about eight tables. The Main course provided large helpings of good plain food well cooked and the Apricot pudding compared favourably in presentation and flavour to what one might expect in a Michelin starred restaurant. For a local restaurant this was a great find!
first visit here. very impressed with the sunday roast.
It was a meal for my sisters birthday. Lovely food, very good service. Would definitely go again.
Lovely family dinner ( we also stayed at the hotel ) - great service and nice menu - thoroughly recommend.
Traditional pub restaurant with plenty of light and good furnishings. Great service and an excellent goats cheese salad with roasted vegetables.
Lovely gastropub. It was quiet when we went for Monday lunch. The food was good, service very nice and friendly and would definitely go back if in the area again.
Superb Sunday roast, possibly the best I’ve ever eaten out! Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The staff were delightful, and the overall experience was one I will be repeating!
Lovely food, friendly staff, would highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back for Sunday lunch!
Lovely (vegetarian) Sunday roast for me, other had Roast beef and fish and chips. All very pleased with our food. Very good, efficient service despite being a bust Fathers Day.
Lovely roast dinner, good portion and value. Attentive service.
Great food and great setting. Friendly staff. Will be back
An excellent first visit, but will not be the last. Sunday lunch was excellent and the staff brilliant. Good luck to you all.
Service was very good. Waiting staff (Julio in particular) was very much on the ball. Food was disappointing in so much as quality of dishes vs price. Would have expected the food to be a notch or 2 up from that which was served given the charge per plate. Starters were very small. £10 for 3 scallops not much bugger than a 10p coin. Mains were served warm. No selection of fresh vegetables to accompany the mains. Desserts left a lot to be desired in so much as the Cherry bakewell cheese cake had no taste of almonds with a few spots of cherry compote. Custard tart was very heavy and stodgy and was served broken. Shame really. Good selection of wine and local ales. All the staff were polite and courteous. Ambience was very good. We went for our anniversary and they were kind enough to serve up a small surprise at no extra charge, which was a nice touch. I just think the chef needs to up his/her game or give better value.
Pleasant gastro pub type atmosphere with good solid food and attentive service. Recommended for relaxed weekend lunches.
We stayed for one night at the Bell and had our evening meal and breakfast there. The service was excellent with very friendly and professional staff. The food was absolutely amazing. A good selection on the menu, all cooked beautifully and presented well without being over fussy and fancy.
Not quite what was expected menu wise but generally ok
The decor inside the pub is lovely, very homely. Food is excellent albeit a little on the pricey side. Service was good, friendly staff. Definitely worth another visit.
My husband and I are new to Hawkhurst and we invited some friends over for a meal.
The Queens Inn was excellent.
Food was lovely, service was very good and our guests said we’d made an excellent choice.
We’ll definitely be visiting again 👍🏻
Great atmosphere, great service, great food. What more would you want? Well done Queen's Inn - you're doing everything right :)
Excellent restaurant, comfortable, intermate, excellent service and high quality food, very good value overall
Good breakfast, though the choice for no. Residents a little limited.
