The Rainforest Cafe London
We had the most wonderful server Karim, he couldn’t do enough for us and was so lovely to the kids. It’s been a tough old year and we’d been to see Santa earlier at Hamleys. The trip to Rainforest Cafe continued the magic, the kids couldn’t believe their eyes abs when the thunderstorm started their faces were a picture. They do good that kids actually like and the adults had yummy burgers and beer. What’s not to like? Well done everyone
Very slow service I always leave a tip if deserved it wasn’t deserved and they add a service charge. The place looked amazing though.
Lovely outing for my granddaughter the service was quick and the waiter Kazim was lovely! The staff all sung happy birthday to some children which was lovely as no parties pre lockdown
Nice for kids. Severely over priced even for central London. Nothing there to make you think wow I’d really have to go back.
We had a lovely time with 3 little boys. Lots for them to look at and be entertained. Staff were fantastic and patient. We enjoyed the food which was tasty and portions were very generous - please remember this when ordering! Worth a visit.
Attended for my daughters birthday. We were so appalled with what happened that we ended up doing the birthday else where
We ordered pasta for the children and specifically asked for NO pork. We were served pork! When I spoke to the manager he didn’t seem to bothered about how offensive this was to us. He said “well we got you another pasta”. However this was after waiting another 25mins for the new pasta to come. I heard a lot of customers complaining and the manager did come across as very rude and abrupt. Will not be returning any time soon. Very very disappointed.
We had a great time. Main courses were of a decent size and delicious. Child’s menu was also quite good. The key lime Pie was delicious!
The ambience was great. The staff were fabulous. Can’t fault them at all.
My only niggle is that many toilet seats were broken. Hopefully, during this next lockdown they can give the loos a freshen up and mend Then it would be a 5/5 all round.
We had an amazing time here. The staff were polite and greeted us as we walked down the stairs. We were shown to our table where the menu was online. The staff came over and made sure we could access the link. When we ordered the food the service was excellent and cooked perfectly. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the environment and the theme. Already planning another trip there. Also if you hold a blue light card (emergency service discount) you are eligible for 15% off.
We went there for my son’s birthday. Lovely place to take the children, service could not be faulted but food was just terrible. We had 2 ‘cocktails’ which were basically ice and a drop of strawberries at £9.95 each which was a rip off. The Aztech chicken looked repulsive and tasted close to that. Won’t be going again although kids had a good time with the decor. Such a shame though!
Very expensive, massively overpriced. Food tasted disgusting so returned to kitchen. Waiter was very nice and helpful. Would avoid.
Great service and atmosphere for the kids.
Basic food with high prices.
Great food, lovely staff and a really fun environment, made enjoyable by staff who care despite the currently trying circumstances.
Great place to eat would definitely recommend, the staff are lovely and food was great
Absolutely loved it! Such a stunning set up - really brought the rainforest experience to life. Kids and adults thoroughly enjoyed it. And Billie who served us was extremely helpful and very approachable- she made the experience much more inviting with her warm and accommodating customer service skills.
Very outdated and in need of a desperate refurb. Wiped seats down and found the anti bac wipe covered in black dirt. This is during a pandemic. Food was absolutely appalling. Tasted awful and cost £130 for 5 of us (inc 3 children’s meals). Don’t even think about trying the toilets as they are just as dirty.
Good service, food good, children loved it lots xx
Tables not 2m apart,
Waiter keep moving his mask under his chin?
Table 25 was handled by a lovely girl 5 stars service
We went for my sons birthday- 16th. I was disappointed with the food, It was really mediocre and expensive for what it was. The restaurant really appeals to younger children, even my son of 9 wasn’t that impressed. The restaurant looks tired and a bit grubby. The staff were friendly and helpful though.
I won’t be going back.
Great food and great atmosphere - would highly recommend and will defiantly go back again x
We have used the Rainforest Cafe on multiple occasions and have always found it outstanding. We requested a seat by the elephant and we got the perfect seats. The venue is still friendly as ever even with all the Covid restrictions. Keep up the great work.
We all had a great time whilst we were here. Amazing sounds and great animals. Kids loved it.. food was great too
It is what it is, a no-return tourist trap surviving off its name. That said it should be so much better. Like walking into a time capsule from the 90’s! Very dated & tacky, needs modernising. Food edible but hugely overpriced -£4 for a coke! Fortunately my 2 year-old enjoyed but I hope never ever to return ..!
Food terrible. Kids enjoy the animals that about it. Disappointing
Food was over priced, and average at best and the floor and toilet doors were sticky but my young children enjoyed themselves.
Poor quality food. Sat in the basement with not atmosphere. Very expensive.
We really enjoyed our lunch at the Rainforest cafe. I will be visiting again, the surrounds are amazing
Terrible overpriced food. kids enjoyed the jungle atmosphere
For a theme restaurant the atmosphere was good. The quality of the food was OK but just OK. We felt rushed, the main courses chasing the starters at regretful pace. The service was good with a special positive mention for Victoria our server. Overall we were disappointed. Would we return, NO. will we recommend it to others, NO.
What a lovely experience for my wife’s special 40th birthday celebration with the kids. We were lucky enough to be sat right by the elephant. Thank you!
We were expecting a more lively and exciting eXperience but it was pretty low key and dull. The rainforest theme is great but that’s it- no entertainment
After reading some negative reviews I was sceptical, however this restaurant did not disappoint. The animals were great, the service was great and so was the food. Slightly pricey but then that’s expected in London. Couldn’t fault it.
Only thing I would comment on is the name. It shouldn’t be branded as a cafe as that could prevent people from going. It’s a restaurant!
7 year olds Birthday
Great place for a half term treat. My husbands steak was missed off and we didn’t eat together , which ruined our dinner, which was a shame.
Food was good and service very friendly , my daughter (6) loved the restaurant, which was the main thing.
Lovely meal overall, we visited during half-term so probably noiser than normal, but it was a lively atmosphere. Staff were great - happy, helpful and professional. Setting is brilliant, plenty to keep the kids entertained through lunch with the moving animals and tropical storms. Food arrives very quickly and is good quality. You certainly pay for the ambience and setting but the food is good. My main annoyance was how cold it was, the restaurant temperature was just too cold, it spoiled the experience a little
Very over priced food. £13 for below average kids food. My daughter had macaroni cheese, it wasn’t even macaroni pasta, just pasta tubes with cheese sauce over it! Ice cream had lumps of ice in it.
You go here for the novelty factor but I feel that’s even looking a bit run down now.
Staff were great, can’t fault that, but I feel this place needs a total revamp
Great atmosphere and service from KAZIM. Amazing vegan burger.
Absolutely amazing experience. My son, 11, loved it & so did I. Thankyou!
Very disappointed with our visit, having been to Florida this lacked atmosphere. The tables had plastic cloths that were sticky, chair seats full of holes and the alcove we sat in was very dusty.
Food overpriced and average, table cleared whilst we were still eating. Aware that some changes were due to Covid but a really disappointing trip with our kids, who were so excited to be going there. No option to switch tables/ chairs.
12.5% service change steep for a family of 6.
For the price of food, you better be eating at sky garden than this resto., just avoid.,
Not sure what social distancing guidelines the Rainforest Café are using but I am sure they aren't the legal ones. There were parties of more than six who were quite obviously two families, tables were not two metres apart and there were out of control kids running everywhere. A real disappointment especially compared to other restaurants we have eaten in this week.
