The Rainforest Cafe London
Great food, great service and amazing decor.
Price was very steep even for london in my view, especially the drinks, £9 for a cocktail that was just a cup of ice really.
Poor food....expensive cafe. .. .good experience for younger children
Excellent all round, food was much better then I thought it would be for a kids restaurant.
The atmosphere and experience is brilliant for children!! Food is quite average which you’d expect from such a busy restaurant
Overall very good
We had an absolutely phenomenal time, we just popped here for food between visiting two London attractions and in the end we cancelled our second visit so we could stay at the rainforest café longer as we were enjoying it so much!
Always wanted to take my kids here but was very disappointed that the rainstorm was broken when we visited as that was part of the experience. I payed an awlful lot of money and food overpriced even though big portions . The puddings are covered in sauce making them to sickly to eat . Is done out nicely with fish tank in middle and staff very helpful
We had a lovely experience at the Rainforest cafe, the children were fascinated by the wildlife! Waiter service was excellent and the food was good. The food is little pricier than average but you are paying for the experience which children very much enjoy. Definitely could do with a couple more vegan options please
Fun deco for children.. although very dated. Food tasted like something from a canteen but very expensive!!! Overall pretty disappointing. We left a lot of our food and the waitress didn’t even ask us about it
Taking into account all COVID regulations our experience was still poor. The restaurant was not overly busy and service was so slow (staff very polite and pleasant though). None of the animals move anymore (not sure if this is COVID related or not).
Food was distinctly average - I know you are paying for an ‘experience’ but the food still needs to be of quality when you are paying well over the odds for pasta and chips!!
The children enjoyed it but were bored after finishing the food and wanted to leave. We won’t be going back anytime soon.
Good experience and my 11 year old Grandson enjoyed his first visit here. As always the atmosphere and decor was great and of course we enjoyed the interaction with the animals in the displays around the restaurant.
I found the menu expensive for the average quality but appreciate a visit here is more about the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
I was happy with the restrictions and checks in place relating to Covid 19 and felt safe in the way we were served.
A shout out to our waiter Victoria who was super helpful and who we found out later was on her first shift working so well done
Needs updating for the price. The rainforest cafe is a fantastic fun concept for kids to visit but the rainforest and animals look tired and don’t appear to have been updated since I last visited 8 years ago. Given that the food is nice but not spectacular you are paying for the environment and some more love needs going into that. That said my kids (who’s first visit it was) loved it :-)
Maybe a little more choice for non meat eaters. Overall great time and kids loved it our waitress Billie was fantastic.
For kids, the atmosphere is great and entertaining, however the food is overly priced for what you receive. For the children, choose either chips, mash or veg! Veg surely shouldn’t be additional. Due to this we did have to purchase additional veg and this caused the whole meal to be outrageously priced for what we received.
All the staff made Henry’s 3rd birthday very special. Billi (we think was her name) was very good with Henry. Thank you
Fantastic restaurant for children. Lots of special effects and things to look at.
Really good service from a chap very friendly and helpful
And food very good and lots of it
Kids loved it !!
The cafe was a wonderful experience for my 5 year old son. He loved the experience and had said he would like to go back for a second visit
Warm welcome and greeting from server, ordered and drinks/starter arrived within 10 minutes. Then had to wait over an hour for two pizzas and my salad. Saw two other tables leave as they hadn't even been offered drinks. Time it took for food to arrive ruined the whole experience as children were beyond bored and starving so scoffed and we left. We won't return as there are many other restaurtants offering better serivce and Rainforest Cafe has been getting progressively slower over the years.
Lovely food and great service from kazim , a little expensive but lovely environment
A bit over-priced if I’m honest and the venue looked a little tired. We’ve dined at the chain overseas and we’re a little disappointed with the food and cleanliness. Staff were very good and friendly though.
Loved our daughter’s 4th birthday experience at rainforest London.. we celebrated her 2nd birthday at Rainforest Paris.. both of the times experience was great and I would highly recommend it.
The ambience is great especially for kids but the food was just terrible.
V.expensive and looking v.tired now. Needs a face lift and a deep clean! Food was okay but no different to pub food but 4 times price service was very.good and speedy. Kids loved it !
only one vegan option. really loud and people walking everywhere so cant enjoy meal. service was good but it was overpirced
The servers were fantastic and made the experience. The food was terrible quality and hugely overpriced. The kids enjoyed the decor but were frightened by the loud “thunder” that played every 10 mins
Great food and service would go back with the kids
It was good and entertaining for the kids. The service was not the best, slow and forgetful. When we asked for the bill that’s was incorrect and had to be rectified.
Our waiter was so happy and helpful. Food delicious
Children happy as alwats
I came here on Saturday 18th October as we were in London for a trip with 2 kids so thought this would be a good place to go.
When ordering drinks one large apple juice and large orange juice the waiter brought out an apple and mango j20 and also a orange and passion fruit j20 when we tried to explain he didn't have a clue what we were on about and then said thats what they use for large orange juice and large apple juice which carnt be right as there both mixed with other fruits and it clearly states orange or apple.
Also my chicken was like rubber and food was cold they brought food out 5 minutes after we ordered so obviously not fresh food they are serving, also very ove priced doubt we will be returning
Kids enjoyed it but didn’t like food much! Puddings for kids are so basic and for £17 for a kids meal there really should be some effort!
We had a burger and fish and chips and it was tasteless, chips were dry really not good for almost £20 a pop! Pina colada had no alcohol in it and again just no effort put into it!!
This place is a novelty restaurant with no novelty! The saving grace was the staff who were really sweet and did make an effort! It’s just not a good feeling when you leave there you know like you’ve just been ripped off and please sort the toilets out!! They were awful and the prices you are charging there really is no excuse for poor facilities!!
The food was a little cold and we were given the wrong wine as they had run out of the one we ordered but we would have preferred to have been advised of this rather than served it but it was the removed from the bill so was resolved. The atmosphere and experience for the children was wonderful
Over priced cold food, lack of drink availability. Slow service
I hate to say but the food is so poor. The pasta was watery with no seasoning. The Mac & Cheese isn't even Macaroni. It's just normal boiled pasta with cheese melted on top. The wings seemed out of a packet and warmed up, the burgers were bland with no flavour. Even left a giant whole gerkin the size of a shoe on the side. Cocktails were below average. Only good thing was the chips. 2x Adults 2x kids under 2 years old cost £135. Not worth it at all.
Food was disgusting both our burgers felt like you was eating stones beers were flat children food was luke warm wasn't asked if our meals were ok!
Was a brilliant experience and food was very nice. £4.20 for a coke was a bit much but food prices are well worth the food.
Food and setting not great
Lovely staff and great experience for children
Kids meal good value for money
We took our son here after a trip to Hamley’s and so we knew what to expect; it’s a place for kids, not for fine dining. That said, I was disappointed that the menu is now massively reduced from the times I have been in the past. I assumed it was a reduced COVID / social distancing in the kitchen thing, until told by our (very good!) waiter that the reduced menu happened way before that.
The menu had what you’d expect from a ribs and burger restaurant save for shakes; I didn’t really get why there were no shakes on the menu, it’s kind of expected in an American-style eatery.
So, we didn’t go there expecting anything special in terms of food. Because we knew the standard to expect. However, I was MASSIVELY disappointed with the lack of investment in the restaurant’s USP, i.e. the animals and the rainforest element. It is just so worn down and tired from years and years and years of use. Everything just looks so old and used. The animals all need to be at least be replaced - save for maybe elephants - if not entirely upgraded. The snake in the shop, for example, is now just hanging limply from the ceiling, as if he’s dead with his corpse stuck in a branch. And the crocodile...there’s not even any water in what can only now be described as his ‘pit’.
It’s such a shame. It used to be so much fun to take kids here. No it’s hard not to feel like whoever owns it just cannot be arsed to try and make it an experience any more.
Service was fabulous. Food was good. Its American diner style. Little expensive but I expect that up London. Brilliant for kids, they made a fuss of our little girl on her birthday and she loved that. She doesn't sit down for 5 mins and gets easily bored but this place has so much to look at and lots going on that she was no where near bored, which is a massive win for us when taking her out to eat!!
Staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere with the animals was amazing, food was lovely too
