A family favourite the world over, Rainforest Cafe is an exciting restaurant with a faithful fan base. Recreating the Amazon forest in all its colourful glory, complete with oversized ferns, animatronic features (elephants, gorillas, a jaguar and a crocodile) and even regular, though thankfully rain-free, ‘thunder storms’. Rainforest Cafe is perfect for families and offer American Diner style dishes, with a wide range of children’s options which will eventually tempt them away from the lifelike creatures of the jungle and the spectacular waterfalls hidden amongst the greenery .

Food was ok. Service absolutely shocking! They had obviously over booked which meant 30mins for someone to take our order & then over an hour wait for food.

The atmosphere is great with all the aniematronics and forest set, however this is what you go there for, food quality was poor and over priced for what you received. Service was a little non exsisitent which is not what you woukd expect from a Cafe thats designed for the kids. The fact that you automatically add 12.5% service charge to the bill when you don't provide much of a customer service isn't great either, in hind sight I should have asked for this to be removed.

Expensive, bland, tasteless microwaved food. No atmosphere. Don’t understand why it rates highly as a family top restaurant to go to in London.

Prior to attending I sent an email to make sure that there were gluten free options for my coeliac daughter. I got sent a list which included a few options and this also included pasta. However when I arrived to be asked firstly how severe her allergy is?? Well this would not matter as she is coeliac to start with then to be offered only a chicken breast on its own and this is it was not appropriate?! Then the manager walked off leaving the waitress to be left to deal with the situation even though she wasn’t allowed to take the order in the first place?! This then left us with no choice to but to leave with 2 kids who were very excited to go to rainforest cafe. If we had just turned up and not checked then ok but the fact that I had actually checked prior to coming and to be changed and to be honest absolutely no help from the manager whats so ever. Do you really think in this day and age it’s acceptable to offer a chicken breast for £14.90 to an 8 year old child??

Wouldn’t visit again. Terrible rushed service. Never felt more like I was on a conveyor belt. Half the food came with elements missing that we weren’t made aware of by staff. Lovely atmosphere but felt incredibly let down by staff and service overall.

We came to the Rainforest Cafe for a child’s birthday occasion and for something different from the usual dining choices. We were seated at our table and was guided by a member of staff who told a story which included the various animals whilst walking through the restaurant, and we were seated right at the back of the restaurant. Instantly we knew where this experience was heading!

We were told out waiter would be with us ‘shortly’ & we were left to look through the menu. There were tables arriving after us who were being seen to before us and when then waiter finally came to us ..he made no eye contact at all, and when speaking to us he was looking around the restaurant and seemed far too distracted and not very interested in us. I had to read my order three times before he acknowledged what I had actually said. The general customer was just poor, no check backs to see if our food was okay, no offers of any other drinks etc and we were most definitely forgotten about.

Childs portions are VERY small for the price you pay & the food overall was extremely overpriced. As mentioned before, we came here for something different, but really we should have stuck to what we knew. Quality of food was poor, especially for the price they charge! Just under £80 for a child’s meal, two adult meals and one drink each.

The restaurant as a whole was lovely, decorated really well with all the animals and other rainforest encounters. The thunderstorms were also a lovely touch that added to the experience.

Would we be back? Absolutely not.

Well intentioned service, but very slow.

Food was low quality, as though it were frozen or microwaved.

Nice atmosphere though.

Table wasn’t ready when we arrived. Wasn’t offered any drinks.
When we got to our table, we waited 20 minutes before asking someone if we can order our food and a drink (the restaurant was not busy)
Our food come apart from my daughters, I had to ask 3 times where it was and 25 minutes later hers come out.
We wasn’t asked at any time if everything was ok or if we needed more drinks etc.
my son ordered dessert, it didn’t come out, we had to keep asking for it.

Then the bill come out with a £15 service charge, I don’t think so.

Dreadful. 2.5 stars is generous. At least 10 waiters for as many tables, all just milling around doing nothing. We asked to order 3 times, but after no sign in 30 minutes we left. People around us also complaining, sending food back to the kitchen. It looked like something you would get from McDonald’s, for £25 for a burger and chips. Kids loved it for 2 minutes then it soon wears off, don’t waste your time just go to the shop

Fun to do once, but the food was not great and so so over priced for what it was. They either need to improve the food or reduce the price to be honest. Hard to say if I'd recommend probably not.

The food was bland and the chips on my daughters lunch were very greasy. The atmosphere and surroundings were lovely but more effort could have been made by the staff. I let them know it was my daughters birthday, they handed her a sticker as we went in and hardly said anything more. The toilets were very tired and looked a little dirty even though the restaurant had only just opened.
I was very disappointed and felt it was expensive for what we got. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant unfortunately.

Waiter seemed to be all over the place not because he was busy just not very well organised. Starter's and mains were ok, the volcano dessert was just very very poor, the chocolate brownie was as hard as Lava and it looked like it was thrown together by 4 year old.
Expensive for what it is, which we know it was going to be, but no excuse for the dessert.

We had a booking for 5:15pm for two, thinking it would be plenty of time prior to seeing a show at 7:30. We were seated at 5:25pm and eventually decided to leave just before 6pm having not had anyone see us to even take a drink order. There seemed to be plenty of staff more concerned with cleaning tables to sit more people down than actually deal with those already there.

Such a shame about the food. Pizza and chips was good but Marconi cheese was awful my daughter was appalled as it's her favourite dish usually. Said it tasted of egg not cheese, dry barely any sauce. I tried it and it wasn't nice. Only three puddings but the best wasn't in stock the lava mud. The only thing that would have made up for the macaroni being horrid. Fruit salad covered in sugar or syrup most kids like the taste of fruit . ..we are no longer in the 80s! Great fun place and service. But my kids didn't enjoy the food neither did I. Too expensive. Almost £20 a head. Really needs an overhaul. Disappointed.

We went with two children of 5 & 3 years. Before we went in they both had face painting! The experience was lovely and we had a look around the rainforest while we waited for dinner. Service was efficient, friendly and prompt. Our grandsons 3rd birthday was made more special when his dessert arrived with four waiting staff singing to him! A definite ‘will go again’ for us and thanks to all 😁🙏

Staff to busy walking around, plus we were placed right next to a children’s party which we don’t know why as lots of tables were free at the front

Absolutely filthy, staff did the job but not overly helpful, friendly or enthusiastic. Very run down, don't expect the stampede experience you get at other Rainforest Cafes, this one doesn't do it. Also no waterfall or water features work. Food edible but not worth the money. Prepared to pay a premium for the Rainforest Cafe experience but you don't get that here and still pay the premium. Would not waste my time or money again. So many other excellent places in London to eat within this price range.

Grumpy servers, not great food that was sent back for being cold, And then we received the wrong order. When we asked about it the host/manager said that he will find the waitress as he doesn't deal with food complaints. For the price and location i did expect a bit better.

We found it very expensive for very mediocre food. The service was slow. Food came after a wait and then drinks finally arrived. The food was plonked on the plates with no real care. The staff all bar two were really miserable. The place looked liked it needed a good clean even in the dinghy light. They get away with it because kids enjoy it but really it needs a good haul over. The food was totally tasteless and miserable, we couldn’t wait to get out. £100 down the drain for sure!!!

We went for my daughters birthday. Sat on a table by the stairs to the doors , it was so cold we all had to wear coats for the whole meal. I did mention it to the waitress but she just said ‘oh yes it is really cold isn’t it’
Food was ok, extremely pricey for what it is but to be expected I guess. I had to ask for a spoon 3 times to eat my pasta which was annoying. Service was slow. They did sing a birthday song to my daughter which she loved. Just really disappointed with the overall experience and the place seems run down/ not looked after in places
