The Rainforest Cafe London
Burger patty, lettuce, tomato, pickle, cheese, onion ring
Battered white fish, coleslaw, tartar sauce and Safari fries
Burger patty, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion ring, Pepper Jack cheese and guacamole
Our waitress was really friendly and welcoming and the place its self is fab, just a bit pricey forwhat you get
Dreadful! Walked out after 30mins waiting to be served. Although I completely recognise the priority is the kids the waiter was unable to communicate appropriately with adults and was extremely patronising! It was shocking, organisation -0, leadership - minus 5, cleanliness - 0! Do not waste your time or money!
Please lower the music or stop all together and increase the rain forest sounds and effects. Look at making prices more cost effective, food was warm, not hot. But a nice experience overall
Overall we had a good experience, the atmosphere for the children is fabulous and staff are great. But the food is a big let down. Small portions for the price, almost cold and very bland. Kids meal was perfect though. Took ages to get the bill and pay.
It was my Daughter 9th birthday, she was treated like a princess, she loved the face painting and the staff all sang Happy birthday to her which made her feel special. Our waitress was very friendly and official.
The service was very slow food was Luke warm
We dined at your restaurant for my husbands birthday, we pre-booked and we’re asked to wait at the bar for our table, we waited 10 mins, when we already had a booking.
We were then taken to our table by a different member of staff, no eye contact no small talk or even a smile.
We then waited 15 mins to order… in the end I had to call out to another member of staff who disappeared, then 5 mins later yet another member of staff, different from the others took our order, also had a face like a wet weekend.
I have food allergies and there was only one item on the whole menu I could order, the food came and my order was missing an item, I queried this and they took it back.
They then returned my food with said missing item so I double checked it was safe for me to eat and they didn’t know…. My food disappeared with another of member of staff who hadn’t served us.
The food was lovely! Delicious, filling and fairly priced.
We then finished our meal and waited 30 mins for the bill!!
We had no contact with staff, no small talk, no effort made at all.
The toilets…. Omg the toilets!! Disgusting!!!
Green, metal, dirty, paint peeling…. It was like being at a dirty festival camp site.
The whole place looks tired.
I even had holes in my chair!
Lovely atmosphere for the kids and they did sing happy birthday to my daughter but food was expensive and not great.
Filthy Totally chaotic
People off the street asking for money
Completely ripped off
Horrible experience and most definitely not worth the money
I was horrified and will not be coming back
Even the little one was scared of the angry gorillas
I’m so sad as I was hoping for a better experience
Toilets where dirty!!!
£90 for what!!!!
Went 15th October
What a nightmare!!
Was embarrassed not to give the boy money who came in off the street
What kind of an establishment is this!!!
It’s needs a lick of paint and a good scrub! I didn’t get her name but she was a young girl and was looking after section5 hadn’t been working there long, what a credit she is to your team. I found very disturbing was the fact that they’re was a mother changing her baby bottom at the dinner table next to us… food was average… over priced but okay. It’s the novelty of going there but that is warn off.
I’ve been to Rainforest Cafe’s in many places, but I never had such an awful experience as today. Although the server was extremely nice, the rest of the staff was pretty moody. We couldn’t get our cocktails (Virgin Colada) because they were missing an ingredient, so we asked for a Virgin Mojito. They have absolutely no idea how to make a Virgin Mojito, the drink was extremely bitter, literally undrinkable. So, we asked for a Coke. They only had Pepsi, but the machine didn’t work, so we couldn’t get a Pepsi either. The food was slow to come and not good at all. Over refrigerated chicken wings and shrimp, very nasty tasting. The service was very slow and in spite of the effort of our server, the whole experience was extremely disappointing. Paid way to much for an awful meal. Never coming back.
Food was shocking, service was rushed even though it wasn’t busy.
Poor meet and greet.
Slow service with plenty of tables available
Service was ok and staff were friendly
Food was average , burger was burnt however. Desserts were nice .
Pricey for what it was
Great idea but food needs to improve
Birthday for 7 year old daughter - they loved the ambience and the kiddies menus. Ribs and chips were good as was the pizza. Wine list needs an overhaul!
Disappointing considering the hype, but you be the judge
Service was the most horrendous we have recieved up London.
We had a table booked for 12.30pm.
We had to wait nearly 20 mins to be seated.
After been seated for again another 20 mins i had to ask a waitress if we could order drinks as no one had been to see us.
We asked for water with ice. Simple order. Water came up warm no ice.
We then waited in over all over an hour for our food which had still not shown. So we ended up declining as we had a show to see and would be late. This was 13.45pm.
So we were there 1.15hrs with just a service of a drink.
After trying to report this to the manager made no difference as he was unprofessional couldnt even be bothered to apologise for the bad service.
Whilst we were there 2 other tables were complaining. 1 which ordered a dairy free salad with chicken. Was served the salad with lots of cheese. Pretty disgusting seeing as she had an allergy. The waiter then returned the salad as just lettuce no chicken. She had to complain again.
Another table the service was that long the children was unable to have there deserts as they was also on a time restriction.
The reasturant was dirty, horrible smell, too busy that the service is horrendous.
Will never return again.
I suggest if you do go allow atleast 3 hours just to get your drinks, meal and deserts.
Should have read the reviews before attending.
For the price of the food the menu and quality of food was very basic and not worth it. The service was very minimal we had to look at the menu on our phones, the restaurant was abit grubby and its abit cheeky to a put a 12% service charge on a table of 2 when the only service provided was them placing the food on the table?
It wasn't bad just not worth the hype nor the money.
Nice place to visit but the food was very expensive for the quality. Service was slow had to ask for drinks 3 times after food arrived. There was no way we were getting a dessert as we didn’t see a server for 20 minutes after we had finished.
Then animatronics are a bit tired and the whole place could do with refreshing
Took my grandson to Rainforest Cafe yesterday following a recommendation from a friend. He was thoroughly enchanted, especially with the animated creatures. The venue is amazing and the staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us, especially George our designated host. I wasn't expecting a brilliant menu when it was particularly aimed at kids, but was pleasantly surprised with the range and quality of food on offer. We really enjoyed ourselves and I'm sure this will become one of our special memories. Thank you George and the Rainforest Cafe.
This was the second time I had visited the rain forest cafe. It has drastically gone down hill since my first visit. We was welcomed pleasantly and told to sit at the bar. Once we sat at the empty poorly stocked bar I already noticed the atmosphere wasn’t how I remembered it. We was then seated at a table in a almost empty restaurant (not at the table I had requested) we was then told to look at the menu via our smartphones on a website that barely worked. I asked for physical menu’s only to be presented with a bit of laminate A4 like you would get in a greasy spoon cafe. The food was pleasant and tasty although not well presented. The service was the best part of the whole experience what little staff they had done a very good job. I highly doubt we would use this place again after feeling let down for our honeymoon. I feel there has been lots of changes made to cut costs
Please do not visit here for the food. I simply wouldn’t give it any more than 2/10. Everything is bland and basically jazzed up freezer isle style.
Atmosphere was however lovely and kids enjoyed the decor.
Quite hard to get staff attention even though there seemed to be so many of them dotted around. Probably wouldn’t visit again but the overall experience was okay.
The setting is great for families, our children loved it.
The food was average, and expensive. But, I accept that the cost reflects the fairly unique experience of eating here.
The service was terrible. We arrived on time but waited 15 minutes for our table to be ready. It was then over an hour before any of our food arrived. After eating our mains we waited half an hour for our plates to be cleared (this was only down when I went to find a waiter to do so) leaving insufficient time for our children to have deserts before we had to leave. We asked for water for our table twice to no avail, before I had to go and find a waiter to ask for a third time. It felt like no one took ownership for our table and as a result we were forgotten for long periods of time.
Attended with my cousin and her son who’s 7th birthday it was prior to going on to a show. Food was superb and a lot of it. The kids portion was a fair size too. Only thing to let it down is it’s not very disabled friendly. My cousin was on crutches due to a broken foot and had to navigate down the wooden stairs to the dining area and seeing people with specialist pushchairs for their disabled kids having to lift them down - which is a shame as it was such a great atmosphere and all the animals / fish etc made a great distraction for the kids
Our waiter Kazzem was really helpful and attentive. Service with a smile from everyone and the atmosphere was lovely :) I attended for the first time with my friend to celebrate her birthday and we had a great time.
Our food was really enjoyable and filling.
One recommendation is to cater more for vegan/dairy free requirements. Sadly neither of us could enjoy a coffee as there wasn’t any other milk alternatives.
Overall we had a wonderful time and will be coming again.
Lovely restaurant children had worksheets and colours we all loved the calm ambience. The figures move and there are sound effects of the weather and animal noises. The waiter was pleasant and recommended a dish which was lovely. He asked the children for their orders which encouraged confidence. The food was lovely we ordered burger and chips ans sundae for one child mac and cheese aand chips and lava mud for second child, rainforest burger and chicken with mash and creamy mushroom sauce. The bill was not too expensive. Very enjoyable dinner after watching Lion King
Fantastic restaurant. Service is a little slow but that just gives you longer to experience the setting. Great food.
Restaurant is very tired and grubby. Service is at best lack lustre. Food was below average and the animations have seen better days.
In need for refurbishment. No interactive floor
Face painting has long queues and when asked if the utensils were sterilised between clients, it was confirmed that they were not.
Poor in al circumstances
Birthday celebration for my step daughter who is turning 5. The place is amazing for children it has everything and more for little ones for a truly amazing experience. From face pants to moving animals it was fab! Food was okay nothing special and service was okay but it didn’t dampen the experience it was great!!
Massively overpriced and way too crowded
Server was great but missing items off the menu. Menu a little difficult to read with their app.
Menu items definitely offer priced but you go there for the atmosphere and the kids
Its been a few years since we took the children to this restaurant but i cant remember it being as scruffy as it was on Saturday.
The staff were were very nice but oh my gosh i do not think they have ever
heard the word hurry. By the time someone came to take our order we didnt
have time to wait for the food to arrive. They did kindly book another table later
so we could return after our next appointment. Its a fun place for the children but i think they need to give it a bit of a spruce up.
So disappointing... I took my little girl for her birthday we were really looking forward to this as we had travelled from up north, on booking I asked for happy birthday to be sang to her when bringing out her dessert, once we arrived at the restaurant I held back and double checked they got my email asking them to sing happy birthday the young man on the desk assured me they had received my email and it was all noted down. Once i had gotten the attention of a waitress to order our dessert, which our table hadn’t even been cleaned or removed our left over food. They brought the dessert out and there was no happy birthday at all! I couldn’t get the attention to tell any staff as they were making us feel invisible! So we eat a few mouthfuls of the disappointing dessert, listened to them sing to another child! managed to eventually catch the attention of a waitress to as for the bill! Once they came over for me to pay, I told them how they hadn’t done what I had asked and I had double check even once on arrival, I was offered another pudding and they would sing... at that point the moment had been and gone my daughter knew about it I just wanted to get out of there! No discount was offered £70 for two burgers which where average at the best and a disappointing ending! Would not recommend to anyone!
Awful food, some was overcooked and some was undercooked such a shame not an enjoyable experience. Staff were helpful
Sat down at table. Had to ask for order to be taken. Told them we had a theatre booking. Starter arrived within 10 minutes. Waited for mains for 40 minutes. Had to ask where they was. People who arrived after us were receiving there food. No offer of another drink. There was one lovely waitress. The others did not bother or approach table for service or to clear starter plates. I had to do that myself.
I’ve never tasted such bad food in my life. Food had no taste we had to ask for salt and pepper to get some taste and it was way tooo over priced. Never going here again
Absolutely rubbish service. If I could give no stars I would. We waited at our table for 25 minutes before any member of staff bothered to see us. I cannot comment on the food as we walked out without ordering. The cafe was at the most only two thirds full. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I go there.
My daughter’s birthday; at the reception it was jam packed. Initially even though I had a booking we were told to wait, this felt as if there was no plan. Only an online menu is hopeless if there is no phone coverage, no alternative offered eventually we got connected. Once seated every was ok and no issues, apart from having to request cutlery.
