The Ram Kingston
Nice enough pub in a good location. Good selection of beers. Food was average but menu is fairly small - and half of it wasn’t available anyway. Service was friendly. Not a place to get excited about.
Great food, lovely accommodating staff. Had a great Sunday lunch.
I came for a roast, the portion size was very very good and all very good quality of food. Only thing I think could be improved was the quality of roast beef, I presume because I came at the start of the day it was tougher meat but other than that the service and setting was at a very high standard and I will defiantly be going back.
Very well manored staff and excellent table service by all
The staff were very friendly and the ambiance was great. Good food and good meal out overall.
Friendly staff great service meal was excellent
We booked to go here for Valentine’s Day, firstly there is no disabled access even though this place is very easy to make accessible and while the food we had was nice it was not what I wanted. Even though we booked half the stuff in particular for vegetarians was unavailable and when I queried why they didn’t really have a reason nor did they offer anything to compensate for lack of food choice available.
This has become our favorite place to go out for a nice meal - the staff are amazing and the food is brilliant. (Book ahead at this time of year if you're going for a Sunday roast - the yorkshire puddings with the beef one are brilliant!)
They have wonderful vegetarian and vegan options, which whilst I'm a meat-eater, are very tempting. Their menu-writers and cooks know their stuff.
Excellent food! Impressive for the reasonable price. Cozy & noisy. Good comfort place for evening with friends.
This pub was nice and lively for eating at 9pm on a Saturday night. The waiter was helpful with taking our order, especially as the menu online didn't match the menu in the place, which caused some confusion, and time was running out to order before the kitchen closed. Better value vegetarian and vegan options with healthier alternatives would have been appreciated. We asked for a veggie salad but it was just a bowl of leaves and some avocado which I thought was not much for £13. We ate in a booth in the bar area which was quite loud and made it hard to have a group conservation. For lively weekend drinks, I could see how this place would be fun. Overall, was a nice place for a post-theatre meal.
We had a very nice evening. Food was delicious and very well presented. Unfortunately 2 of our first choices from the menu were not available and coffee machine was broken. But all the rest was good.
Good Sunday lunch - bit disorganised though
Had a brilliant Sunday Roast here! Lovely pub right by the river, with plenty of outside seating for when the weather's a bit nicer. Great selection of beers, fantastic friendly service and top-class yorkshire pud & roast potatoes :-)
excellent Sunday dinner good local products well cooked and good value for money.
We'd booked a table for later afternoon, in the long interval between two plays at the theatre next door.
We had time before the first play, so called in for a drink - waited for 15 minutes at the bar and did not get served. A barman took my order at one point - then disappeared to fetch some glasses, came back and continued pulling three pints...........for another customer.
We lost all faith that we'd get served properly for the meal we planned.
It does seem that some pubs are not prepared to admit that they cannot serve meals all day when the pub is full of rugby fans.
We had a quite funny evening in nice atmosphere in The Ram as always. Food is good, beverages also. Service friendly and attentive. It is a bit loud, no place to have a difficult conversation :) But therefore entertaining and easy.
Don't bother on a Sunday eve.. nothing left on the menu!
The RAM is never a let down! it always lives up to the bill all year round, yeah its slightly more pricier than some of the pubs in the area but its worth it for sure. Its great that it is by the riverside which creates a unique atmosphere but additionally when its the winter its very cosy and warm inside. One thing I really like is that I have never gone into the RAM and not be able to get a table or seat - this is very rare for a pub in kingston.
We were looking for a pub that was (a) next to the river, (b) had a good selection of beers (c) child-friendly and (d) served decent pub grub. The Ram delivered on all fronts and the fact that we were able to get a table outside on one of the nicest days in the summer was an added bonus.
