We sat outside on a lovely patio next to the firepit. There were several occupied tables with available heaters on the patio as well. Our servers were friendly and helpful. The menu was large and included many deli OSU-sounding items including crab cakes and short ribs. There was a full bar with a knowledgeable bartender. We brought our well-behaved dog who was given a water bowl and lots of attention. We will definitely return again as the food and service were excellent.
Great music and great food
Great service had to be indoors because of rain. Loud in bar with football but expected. Drinks good and food good too.
Amazing food as always! Friendly environment and welcoming staff.
We love the place! Food is great and service is always friendly. Outside it’s perfect, however now due to the weather we mostly eat inside. The inside could use a little TLC, especially the area that is not by the bar. The large tables come across a little cafeteria like and could use a little decor . Glasses with tea light or maybe a little vase with flower. The new plastic chairs by the window area behind the bar are terrible and reduce the look of ambience A LOT!! Otherwise the place is great.
GREAT food as always! But SUPER NOISY indoors, would not recommend. Try outside.
A creative, broad and tasty menu with outdoor and indoor dining. Outdoors is right on the water of Mandalay Bay marina.. Heaters for when its cool.
Good Service - lots of fun food choices (still have not tried them all) - food like we got in English pubs - Took our son and family for his birthday - we had a great time -The restaurant was busy but we still had very attentive servicve.
Family friendly and delicious! The staff was so nice, and we felt comfortable enjoying a relaxing meal. Don’t miss the hand pies! Get one of each!!
Great highly recommend
Good food, felt like they put us in the back - there isn't much energy along the back wall outside, but at least there is a view of the water.
Wait staff not attentive. 30 minute delay for drinks because she forgot…
The Raven is a good place for a drink and some bar food. Their entrees, not so much
We go to Raven at least twice a month. Great service, happy hour and food! Love their brussel sprouts!! 😍
The food at the Raven is always good, but the French Onion Soup is amazing! It’s the best I’ve ever tasted.
Everything was good the only thing was our waitress offered for us to try a reisling wine we didn’t want to sip out of the same glass so we asked if we can get another glass so me & my friend can taste the wine. We wanted to share a dessert we had to ask for extra utensils & plates & with our appetizers we order the mussels we didn’t want to dip the bread in the broth so we asked for another bowl & spoon -taking more precautions during the surge of Covid
Great food and a beautiful view of the Harbor. The happy hour prices are a great value for some wonderful food.
Outdoor dining was great, in the fresh open air with heaters. Good menu. Love the pies.
Great place food had great taste and drink were awsome
The food was really good. However it took a long time for us to get our food and the service was mediocre.
Nice location by the marina. Great twists on classic “pub fare”.
Waitress not wearing mask.
Shepard’s pie tasted like it came out of a can
Great service! We had brunch great value great food!
Last minute decision to try The Raven Tavern after seeing an ad on the Open Table app. Used app to make reservation. We were running late, and would arrive after the 15 minute grace period. Called restaurant, and told them we were running behind. Kevin, who answered the phone, said “no problem. I’ll tell the hostess.” We finally arrived 30 minutes late, but we were greeted warmly, and shown to our table in a few minutes.
It was a chilly evening, and we were seated outside next to the fire pit. Good thing. It kept us warm during our visit.
Waitress was friendly and informative when we asked about menu items. She came round a couple of times to check on us during our visit.
There was live music by inside, which we enjoyed from outside, but probably would have been too loud if we were seated inside.
Food turned out to be so-so, which was disappointing. I ordered the Scottish Chicken Pie, which was overcooked. I had added the garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, but had them served on the side, instead of on top of the pie, as described on the menu. The potatoes tasted good, but the gravy was canned, and ruined the potatoes. Skip the gravy in my opinion.
My wife wanted to order the small hand sized veggie pie, but by 8pm, they were sold out for the day. She ordered the small chicken pie, and roasted Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer. The Brussel Sprouts were also over cooked. My wife thought that the pie was too heavy.
We did not partake in any alcohol, though the offerings were plentiful.
We shared the Blondie and Brownie a la mode for dessert. It was OK.
Overall, the service was great. Too bad the food did not measure up to the level of the service. I doubt we will be back.
Comfort food to the max-loved the pies filled with meat and veggies. Excellent all the way around
This was our second visit here in a week. Chances of us going back are slim. Food and drinks took forever. Food was not hot when it arrived. Ordered a cake for dessert to split and had to ask for plates and it was served with spoons no forks. Order an extra dry martini and got a dirty martini. For as much as it cost, it should have been a lot better.
Great service and great food! Short ribs were delicious!
Very nice restaurant. However we sat by the fire pit and the gas smell was so strong we had to move. Would be helpful if somehow you could trap the gas smell so people can enjoy the fire pit.
Decent food limited choices for dinner
We were disappointed at first because when we arrived it took over 10 minutes for anyone to recognize that we were at the restaurant and needed to be seated even though my husband walked around and went to the bar and told several people that we needed to be seated. We were told the Hostess was probably sitting somewhere?? But once we were seated and our waitress arrived everything was fine. She was so personable and attentive. My husband and I have been at the Raven before but our 2 friends had not. The food was great and we had and absolutely lovely afternoon with dear friends that we had not seen since before covid. We live in Santa Clarita which is a bit of a distance from Oxnard but we will return.
Just slow service
But great food and drinks and place to eat.
3rd time here. Last night was by far the best experience. Will definitely return.
The service was great! The food is amazing! Well cooked, beautifully presented and everything was delicious! It’s the new go to.
Great hosting, wait staff, food…happy hour for best appetizers at best price, sat outside so our out of town friends could bring their 2 dogs. Bring layers for windy evenings!
Great tavern! The food was excellent and the overall atmosphere was very fun.
Portions of the charred Brussels sprouts and Caesar salad were ample. The steak and mushroom hand pie was delicious. Service was a little slow, reflecting the challenges following the pandemic. All in all, a good dining experience.
The food was so good and the service was awesome! They are definitely working hard to provide a great dining experience. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the lovely views!
This was my second visit to this relatively new restaurant. The first time the were under-staffed and the service was slow but the food was pretty good. Second time they hit it out of the park, with attentive and consistent service. The menu is really interesting and the burger is excellent. And oh yeah, don't forget about the excellent beer selection, served in cold glasses!
Worked out well with Toddler meal as well as adults
Good food and good menu selection
