Service was pretty good, it was a little busy so was slower than we'd expect but well worth it when we got our food which came pretty quickly. The food was good and we very much enjoyed our dinner there.
Service was slow, it quite often is slow here. For example drinks take a long time to arrive when compared with other restaurants. Food is sometimes punctual and sometimes takes a while. The menu is good and food very tasty so I can still recommend this place. Can be fairly noisy inside.
We went thrre according to the good reviews and advise frm friends. Firs of all Pad thai wasnt cooked well and plus it wasnt supposed to be spice according to rhe menu and it came quite spocy. the singapore style noodles were very dry. They didnt have green tea instead they offered mint tea which was literally unwashed mint leaves (cld see sm dirt in the cup) with hot water. The only thing was the cocktails which tasted surprisingly good. Overall disappointed basically.
An enjoyable experience. Staff polite, friendly and attentive. Food arrived promptly. Good sized portions. Enjoyed the food. Spiced to personal tastes. Enjoyed cocktails. Given enough time to enjoy the experience. Reasonably priced. Would visit Ravensbury again.

Due to covid not enough care taken to follow the rules , inadequate seating too close
Took 35 mins to be asked for drink order. When did eventually get seen. Took Oder for starter and mains and it all came at same time.
Forgot a drink and forgot one of the starters
Had to ask for plates for our mains and didn’t bother clearing our plates we used for our popadoms
The ambiance was just right and servers were very attentive making sure we’re comfortable with our young son. The food was tasty no wow factor bit pricey for the value presented
Max was the BEST waiter. He was personable, patient and gave great recommendations for food and drink!
Having visited The Ravensbury on quite a few occasions, this was easily the worst experience.
Table booked for 7:30pm - arrived and seated by 7:35. Requested table in main restaurant. Received one on other side. Struggled to get someone’s attention to place order for food and eventually had this done by 7:50. Waited patiently but then started getting annoyed as 8:30 came and went. Grabbed someone passing to enquire and starters were then brought out by 8:45.
Starving at this point so we ate the starters which were very good. Portions have decreased and prices have increased.
We were conscious of the time so asked them to pack the mains and we moved straight onto desserts.
Not happy with the management of this place. I could see the staff were rushed off their feet and also kitchen was obviously struggling to keep up and dish out food in a timely fashion.
It’s a shame this has soured our experience and after reading many similar reviews hope something is done about this before you alienate lots of regulars.
we went ther for our 7 anniversary it was the place we met it has been done up very nice but the food is very poor and we spent most of the time trying to stope fly getting on our food and by 2 am we both were very sick so would not ever go back and don't recommend it

Our waitress was fantastic. Really helpful and accommodating. We were sat in the bar area which was very neon and a bit overwhelming. The food was OK.
Can not fault food and service. Both were great.
Ginger GT cocktail 5* for taste however we were served in a PLASTIC immitation coconut..A BIG NO NO- you can not and should not serve any drinks in plastic.. we are not children.
The two major problems -
1. The restuarent was ' crammed ' by the front and empty at the back. The tables next to us and behind was definatly less then 2m distance and people walking behind our chairs without masks. Was unable to scan the NHS C19 QRG.. due to lighting and lamination of the sheet.
2.CAR PARK - is now sub contracted to private operators - is now phone pay after 3 hours. Which if you have not pre-registered a card with the providers- the phone number given not notice board does not give an option to register card on the spot..so you either leave the venue or expect to get £100 penalty.
I have been to ravensbury on plenty occasions. There food is excellent but this time when I went the food wasn’t as good as it used to be. The service was excellent.
This was our first visit to The Ravensbury, it won't be our last.
Feels like things have changed. Chefs might have changed. I do feel the taste of food has definelty changed. Also the food portions normally given has gone down and prices have increased. Bit annoyed given. I am a regular.
This is a lovely place, the interior looks fabulous, the food was delicious sadly I couldn’t eat all of my meal. I was stuffed half way through me dish 😅. I took the rest home 😋.
My partner however, finish his meal with ease. We were lucky to place our drinks order during happy hour 🍻 2-4-1 😋. Our night was lovely, the only let down was we waited a further 20 minutes after finishing to get the bill and another 10 minutes to pay.
The waiting staff were very helpful and interactive with full information on which foods contained nuts.
Starters were amazing we had 3 dishes between the 2 of us. Loved the coconut rice and curry.
Good social distancing and adhering to wearing masks - will definitely book again!
We went for a birthday lunch, which was really nice. Enjoyed it very much. Wasn't that busy at lunchtime, which was ok due to the COVID. Highly recommend it!

My experience overall was good. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken. And rice. Sweet and sour chicken could have been better. I’ve tasted better. Next time I’ll go for the Indian menu which I think was delicious the last time I was there.

Although the food is amazing (no fault whatsoever with the food!) The service and the managers there are terrible. No customer service at all. Everything is super slow - ordered a coke and it took 30mins...
Other customers were extremely loud and vulgar, at no point did the waiters or manager ask them to keep it down, even when we mentioned it to them...
Remember your mask as they wont let you walk the 10 steps to your table without it (although they'll let you walk out the restaurant without it... which is the same way you walk in.... bizarre!)
I'd only recommend this place for the food, it is really tasty but I've been twice now and the service has been awful.
Took 40 minutes to get a drink before the starters, my starter never came out so I asked where it was, they went to get one. It took a while to come out and the others had finished their starters so I said just make the starter to go and bring on the mains. We had asked for 3 drinks and the manager Said these are on the house for the mix up. When the bill came they had put a 12% service charge on and charged for the starter I had to take home and also charged for the 3 drinks that were supposed to be on the house. I refused to pay the service charge as it was terrible service and I refused to pay for the starter that I didn’t get to eat with the others. This was my second time at this restaurant as the service was terrible the first time I said I’d give it a second chance.
Our second time at the restaurant, was good atmosphere, good food, good service and we enjoy our time booked.
The ambience was quite good. Service staff were attentive yet not intrusive. Food was delicious and flavoursome. Explore the menu and you will surely not get disappointed. Presentation of the food is quite appetizing too. Starters and tandoor, in particular, were much much better than few other restaurants locally. I first went with friends and had such a wonderful experience that I went next day again as wanted my boys to taste the delicious food. My kids loved the food too. Will definitely recommend, worth a visit.

Despite being completely full, stressed from the just-introduced 10pm curfew, and some other diners chafing at the new rules and having to be kept in line, the service was impeccable and the food excellent. I’ve no idea why it’s taken us so long to try The Ravensbury out. We will be back soon!
