Hosting our rehearsal dinner there this November! Has to stop in while in town. The scallops, oysters Rockafellar and filet mignon were to die for.

The place was great, the food was great, and the staff was great.

Overall wonderful - beautiful cozy setting, excellent food, and service.

This was our second time this season and it was just as good, if not better. Perfectly executed menu of classic, yet updated dishes. Elegant comfort food at its best. Great beverage choices as well. And the service was seamless again, too. You will not be disappointed.

Great New Years Eve dinner! Their outdoor patio is fully enclosed in a tent. Not really “outdoors”.

I dined at the Red Fox for NYE (5 course dinner). The food was delicious and our waiter was very attentive. However, since this was a costly dinner ($175pp) that did have some weight on the expectations. The dinner was hosted outside in the tent, which worked due to the current social distancing, but the seating was a little uncomfortable and it was quite cold (many patrons had their jackets on the whole meal). The tavern did call the night before to ask about allergies, which was nice however my significant other has an onion allergy and the main course did have onions. I did appreciate how the staff handled it and brought him out something without onions (without being prompted), but then oddly charged me for it. While the food was great, in the current environment the overall experience was less than thrilling for the cost of the meal.
Even with that said, I would still recommend this location for the great food!

My boyfriend and I went to the Red Fox for New Years. The food was beyond fantastic and the wine pairings were delicious. The Red Fox itself was beautiful and the service was great! 11/10 highly recommend.

Not an every day treat, but dang if it isn't worth it when you go. Did the four course menu with wine pairing. Everything was delicious, couldn't decide what was our favorite. Portions were enough to more than fill us up. Excellent all around

We enjoyed the Holiday tasting menu as a special element of our holiday season. Staff was very accommodating in letting us choose, early in the day, a table we felt was the safest. And provided information about airflow in the outdoor tent. And especially kind to allow our King Charles Cavalier Spaniel to join us for dinner. Our wait person, Sarah, was attentive. The chef accommodated dietary restrictions graciously.

We reserved the pre-fixe 4 course holiday dinner and had a delicious meal with excellent/attentive service. Highly recommend!

Our server Brandon was great and very knowledgable about the wine. He made great reccomendations. It was a real treat!

As always the Red Fox provided an amazing dining experience! My husband and I come every year for our Anniversary and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Outside dining is in a big heated tent. The tables are 6 feet apart and the servers wear masks and try for social distancing. They say the menus are one time use.

The wine pairings were very well done and not too much wine in each serving. Lovely evening.

We had a great time at this restaurant this past Sat. evening. Our server was super nice! and she took care of us so well! The food was awesome too! Thank you for following Covid guidelines. We all felt very comfortable while we dined there. Looking forward to my next visit to see you all!

Chef's tasting was OK. Had just eaten @ Ashby Inn the night before. the Chef's tasting @ Red Fox was not up to the same quality as Ashby Inn. Interesting enough, the Ashby Inn was $35.00 per person less. Not the deciding factor, just an interesting side note

The winter tasting menu was phenomenal. Every bite exceptional. Great wine pairing. Highly recommend. I’d happily go again to try other things on the menu.

Beautiful place , the food and service don’t match the pricing. Really should consider lowering to $75 per person or offer a regular menu. Again the place is beautiful, service was good , I would go back if a regular menu was an option .

We had the Winter Tasting Experience and it was excellent. I had the optional Rack of Venison with my meal and it will not disappoint.

Our dinner was delicious, our waitress was phenomenal, so professional and funny. The atmosphere was perfect, very warm, definitely felt like we were in the country at an old welcoming Inn. We would absolutely return for a special occasion.

Tent-covered outdoor patio was excellent. Tables are very well distanced. Temperature was comfortable if warmly dressed.

The Red Fox inn was incredible! Highly recommend fir an occasion. I took my fiancé there for her birthday and the service and food were both great.

We ate out on the patio, which is normally outdoors, but during the winter is under a wedding-style tent. Very comfortable, and very quiet aside from the heater noise. There were not many folks there as it was close after Thanksgiving, but the food was delicious and the service was great. Their fall tasting menu was prix fixe with some options, and was expensive for the area and for the dinner, but we went for a special event and it was a very nice dinner, and we're glad we went.

The food was prepared excellently, service great, atmosphere excellent. Among the top restaurant experiences I've had, but the price is simply excessive -- also among the most expensive meals, I've ever had. The fixed price of $125/person is just the start. When you add on a couple glasses of wine, tip, tax, etc., price per person approaches $200.

Thanksgiving weekend with family

I have visited your restaurant several times and this was by far one of my favorite experiences. Your response to Covid has been outstanding!! Brandon was both knowledgeable and thoughtful in his recommendations with the highest level of service helping us seamlessly navigate a nut allergy in our party. We will be back!!

Visited the Red Fox Tavern for the fall prix fixe. For the significant price tag ($125pp) I found the outdoor setting unappealing (no table cloth), the first two courses small (two wontons, a cup of bisque, each for about $25), and the execution mixed (halibut and starter salad were much too sweat). I'd be glad to try again when the full menu is available.

We went for our one year anniversary. It was certainly an expensive meal, but every bite was delicious, our server Brandon was unbelievably kind and accommodating, and there wasn’t anything to complain about the experience at all! Highly recommended
