Always a great place to go
Lovely staff, lovely food, nice atmosphere, really enjoyed our first meal out after lockdown
As always an all round excellent dining experience. Friendly and helpful staff.
Overall a good place to eat.
Large restaurant with good food and menu.
Staff are friendly and look after you very well.
Pricing is okay not cheap but middle of the road for a good restaurant.
I actually attended on the Friday 4th for evening dinner. We were suppose to have gone again on the Sunday afternoon. But decided to give it a miss. I
was not as impressed as I once was with this place.
I have been here a few times and have enjoyed.
But this time I did not enjoy the meal. Some of it was cold.
I ordered Irish coffee. They got sent back 3 times. First ones never looked right. Second one very cold.
Third time was fine.
Even the cheese board was very minimal.
Amazing food really good service food was piping hot would definitely recommend and will definitely be good back there sometime in the future
excellent service and friendly staff. As a vegetarian and coeliac it was nice to have a good choice of items available.
Lovely food. Service very quick but a little too quick as if they were rushing to get you served.
The service and food were great, would highly recommend.
The only downside was the food was a little slow to arrive, however given the current circumstances refinery staff did an excellent job. Wouldn't hesitate to come here for a meal again!
Overall the food was ok, the starter of Asian Chicken was cold but the main the sirloin was very nice
We had a lovely experience in The Refinery. The staff were all lovely and I felt incredibly safe. It was my first time out to a restaurant since the lockdown and I would highly recommend The Refinery as I felt safe and the food was delicious.
We really enjoyed our time. The service was great, the food was really nice - good selection available for vegans too, and great ambience.
The restaurant was great, but your system did not send the booking through.
They didn’t recognise OpenTable!
The Ladies & I had a lovely early tea last Thursday the server was very friendly & new the menu inside out food was really good quality , we have been numerous times
I chose Refinery as I was going to see a concert at the Philharmonic and I was not disappointed. The food was tasty and hot and arrived exactly when I was ready for the next course. I did the pre theatre 3 courses for £15. The soup for starter was sweet potato and herb followed by chicken supreme with sweet potato mash and followed by lemon meringue pie. My only criticism was I prefer a biscuit base on the dessert purely because I have a problem with pastry. Would go back again. Would recommend booking as it gets very busy.
It was an excellent choice of restaurant the food being very good. Service was quick as we were early in arriving. As it became busy the staff appeared to be struggling. But overall we were very pleased.
I don't live in Liverpool but I would recommend it to a friend. Loved it especially the food.
Customer service could be improved- several staff passed us by without acknowledging us when we were waiting to be seated at our reserved table.
Asked to be moved as we were meeting friends, but the music was good ! The service and food was excellent, would definitely return.
Staff were lovely service was quick nothing to much trouble.and affordable prices
Very pleasant good value pre theatre dinner. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed our night with you & we paid by card & obtained the receipt. On checking later we had been charged for an extra starter & main pre theatre meal!! I phoned the morning after & was helped by some1 in charge! I said thank you.
Lovely restaurant, nice vibe to it. Good staff, pleasant and efficient. Fishcakes were lovely, steak was really good, only downside, my mash was dry and not good. Husband had chips and he thought they were reconstituted and did not like them. House wine was good. Overall a pleasant experience, we will return.
Friendly staff, good service, great food. Can’t wait for my next visit.
The staff were very efficient and polite. However, the noise level inhibited conversation. Possibly, need some acoustic absorbers i.e. carpets, wall hangings, more plants artificial or real.
Amazing food! The staff are really friendly and helpful. Will be booking again - thanks!
My friend and I went for the pre-theatre option. Service was good. We are both vegetarians trying to be vegan and had a good choice. The food was excellent. Will certainly go again and would recommend to others too.
Good for pre concert meal on this occasion but could not hold a conversation properly with live singing in the background at 6pm though others might appreciate this.
First time at The Refinery.....lovely staff, good menu with lots of choice.
Great venue - loved the live music!
Great restaurant, great food. Overall great experience and will definately be returning.
Excellent food and service. Quick but not rushed. 3 course for £15 is great value. Perfect for pre-theatre but will definitely be returning for a longer meal and drinks as it has a lovely atmosphere.
Very very noisy restaurant, seated facing extremely bright kitchen lights - took ages to place our order and when we did we were told two of our chosen meals from the limited menu were actually no longer available. The waiter walked past us twice and dropped a load of things smashing glassware! Food was ok not amazing. Took ages to then get bill even though we said needed to get to the Philharmonic for a show. Wouldn’t rush back.
Very good value for money. We had the 2 course set menu. My husband and son had starters and main and I had main and pudding. We all enjoyed everything we ate. My husband and me had a glass of Chardonnay and it was delicious.
Went to this place a year ago and have been and recommended to many since. Staff are lovely and attentive but not overbearing. I have booked for two and up to a party of 16. For a large party you can email your menu choices prior to attending which can save on time trying to get everyone’s attention. Dressy or casual is fine. Cocktails good value when purchasing g in two’s. Sunday menu great value for two courses with a bottle of wine per person. Evelyn my picky husband liked it !!
Far too noisy for an old couple like us. Food was only poor to average. Service was very good indeed.
Good service, cheerful staff, good food, pretheatre deal very attractive, good range of beers
Great place to eat in a great location away from the busy City Centre, ideal when you are attending the Theatre or visiting the Cathedrals. We went to see the Giants last Saturday and it was great to get away from the crowds to have lovely meal and drinks before going back down to the Pier Head area to see the Giants again. The 8 of us had a nice leisurely meal and a rest before heading back to join the crowds! If you ever visit Edinburgh I can also recommend The Refinery in St Andrew's Square, also a great location and Restaurant! Staff in both are very friendly and helpful!
Really nice meeting place for friends. Lunchtime menu varied tasty and good value. Staff friendly and very attentive.
We had a lovely pre theatre meal at the refinery which was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and courteous and
The chicken burger was “soggy” and the chips half cooked
Went for fathers day. Food was not cooked the way it was ordered, ie steaks ordered medium rare were well done. Food not enjoyable. Drink spilt over one of us including coat too. Overall not a great experience, have been before and really enjoyed but will not go again.
