Soon as we arrived I informed the staff that I had a reservation. I was told just sit where ever we want. Offering is tables that were still dirty and not set for dinner. The waitress was lazy and slow. Spoke to the manager and asked for my table that I reserved and finally was seated in the dining area. There was lots of noise from the staff clearing tables. Dropping cutlery etc. The service overall was terrible. We waited a long time for our food, no one asked if everything was ok etc. The food was terrible. Not worth the price and over cooked. We also saw a mouse running around to which I didn’t even want to pay the bill but the staff thought it was amusing. The Bar was playing some good music and the hotel has some cute aesthetics but far as the restaurant, food and service… and the mouse running around. I would never dine there again.

Food was very good. Staff seemed to be a very confused. Also their uniform did look clean and tidy. A bit disappointed our lunch table was not in the backyard,’x we sat in the Main Street terrace.

The signature cocktails were incredible, definitely suggest The Girl on Fire, if your into a spicy margarita vibe. The ribeye steak was beautifully charred on the outside and perfectly medium rare on the inside, as requested. Was treating 2 friends and they were equally pleased. A top night all round and outstanding service from Rita-thank you for having us.

A nice ambience for a weekday meal and great cocktails at the long bar. The food was nicely presented but mediocre. Calamari starter cooked to a rubbery death and a £36 slow cooked beef rib that looked and tasted exactly like the pre cooked ones you get from M&S

We booked a table for Mother’s Day. The food was lovely, service was a bit slow but the staff was nice and friendly so we weren’t bother until one of the servers ruined the all experience with her rudeness, arrogance and patronising behaviour.

We loved the quiet atmosphere at lunch time on a week day. Perfect for conversation. The service was good in terms of staff’s attitude and energy but they forgot a few things from our order which was very disappointing as the place wasn’t even busy. Cocktails were amazing. Food was ok.

I booked the restaurant by accident and infact thought I’d booked the Mad Hatter afternoon tea… the staff were very helpful and organised a table for me for my afternoon tea… highly recommended (very expensive bottled water though….) The food was a delight and we enjoyed every bite. Very helpful staff who described every piece of food very well

Went for a dinner with friends and it was ok. Food is quite overpriced for what it is and the staff is nice but inexperienced. Also, don’t go on a Sat evening because it will feel you’re dining in a nightclub and not a restaurant.

The food was nice, as was the service. However, few annoying things include being seated outside meaning we were under the radiator lights which didn't feel particularly environmentally friendly and heated up our water (we had to ask for ice). The January deal wasn't communicated to us clearly as we were told only the main courses were half price. The food was nice, but not really worth the price.

Having been here in the summer for a corporate event I had expected this to be a great experience - which it was not. Even though Christmas Eve the place had very few customers for dinner. Even though I booked in advance and confirmed the day before the table was not laid up for us on arrival. I barely recall seeing any festive decorations which gave an atmosphere of close to zero. The food was excellent and well presented. The service was pretty poor - with so few customers I should not have to ask for bread and to place my order. I also don't expect a bottle of champagne to be served at room temperature - a basic mistake that any half decent waiter would pick up on. He may have turned out to be a great waiter - we will never know as he advised us halfway through that he had been told by his boss he could go home early as they were quiet. That left us with no one in particular serving us. Obviously they wanted us to follow his example and go early otherwise why would they switch all the lights on full. With no decorations, no music, poor service I realised why there were so few customers. The only thing that exceeded my expectations was the bill which included a 15% service charge. There are plenty of other great places to celebrate Christmas and hold corporate events - that is where we will be.

I visited with my wife and daughter to take advantage of their meal deal £28. The venue is fab with a lovely long Champagne bar. We took advantage and had some bubbles. We then were shown to our table. Not with the majority of the people becAuse they were having the mad hatters cream tea. Our table was large and spacious. The cocktails arrived ( part of the deal) They were meant to be gin based but in reality I think the gin bottle was just passed over the top of the glass. A lovely bread basket then arrived together with some butter ... but on tasting this was not butter but MARGERINE !!!! My wife was nearly sick..as was I ,the meal was ruined. It took some time to claw ourselves back but we did eventually and the meal was OK not fine dining just OK. The bill £153 included a £20 service charge. In all a rather unforgettable experience but for the wrong reason !! My advice is don’t offer a meal deal if cutting corners to make it pay will leave the customer underwhelmed and not wishing to return.

Sadly not a good experience. We booked the 3 course offer with cocktail but were given the a la carte menu. When asking for the other menu the guy at the desk told us he needed proof of the booking as they had served too many offer lunches that day! I had called a few days before to advise the restaurant that we did not eat garlic and they told us it would not be a problem- it was! There was nothing on the main course menu we could eat. Eventually they offered us something from the main menu. The first course burrata should have been fine but arrived freezing cold. We asked for the wine menu but nobody came to take our order - and then our main course arrived! Wine eventually arrived half way through our meal. My friend received her dessert but nothing came for me! A lady came over who turned out to be the manager seems genuinely horrified by our experience and tried to sort everything out and offered us drinks on the house. My dessert arrived. When ordering coffee I asked if it was strong- as it was I was offered a half strength one which would have been fine. My friend ordered a normal cappuccino. The coffees arrived I got a strong coffee! My friend a weak cappuccino. They couldn’t even get that right. The manager was lovely and greatly reduced our bill - but that shouldn’t have been necessary. I won’t be going back!

I would expect an offer to take care of coats, but I had to ask. Menus were slow to arrive, water even slower. We chose the offer menu which included a cocktail, this took twenty minutes or longer to arrive as they had to find someone who knew how to mix drinks. Although practically deserted in the section where I was seated the waiter kept disappearing and elusive when trying to get his attention. Chain restaurants have better service. Which is a great shame as the food is very good.

I had booked the Sanderson because I had seen there was a lovely outdoor courtyard on their website. I did put on my booking that we would like a table in the courtyard. When we arrived however we were told they don’t serve lunch out there. I was disappointed we weren’t told this when they received the note on our booking reservation, as we would have found another venue with outside dining.

What a lunch find in a top London hotel - wanted to keep this a secret but everyone should know! First class three course lunch in amazing surroundings, made it difficult going back to the office. Will definitely be returning and book a half day to enjoy it all at a leisurely pace; highly recommended :)
