BEAUTIFUL place, o.k. food. That seems to describe most of the beachfront restaurants in Tulum. Overly sweet margaritas, bland guacamole, main dishes served tepid. Tulum has become like Playa del C. and (god help us) and Cancun. Looking forward to the great restaurants of Merida.

Hace bastante que estábamos en mexico y necesitábamos comer comida tranquila sin excesos de condimentos, y en zamas encontramos lo que estábamos buscando. Además el ambiente súper tranquilo sin tanta de la vorágine de tulum en temporada alta.

I’m sure the place is great but no one contacted us back in regards to our reservation for nye. So we had to scramble to find a side street cafe to dine at

Excellent local food in a beach-side setting with friendly service and the added bonus of a children’s menu. Our dinners were fresh and delicious, the only noise was the waves on the beach, and the waiters helped our kids with the foosball table so everyone had fun.

STELLAR all around. A wedding reception was taking place the night of my reservation, however I got a confirmation call advising that they were going to honor my reservation and I was even seated on the beautiful terrace with an ocean view. Incredibly attentive service. Will be back!

We were here 12 years ago and enjoyed a great time. So came back and had another great time. Good food, music and ambience. A must do when in Tulum!

Beautiful scenery- watching waves crash on the rocks and the birds dive for fish while sun-worshipping on the back deck of the restaurant. Food was very tasty - chips/guacamole and tacos - she had chicken and I had fish - perfect portions and fresh. Would definitely go again on my next day trip to Tulum from Playa Del Carmen.

We had an amazing dinner with friends at Zamas. There was incredible live music and it was gorgeous with the waves crashing below.

We had a lovely breakfast at ZAMAS on a recent trip to Riviera Maya. My husband had delicious sausage breakfast burritos. I had eggs, bacon and toast. The egg yolks were a beautiful dark orange indicating just how fresh they were. We split the Yogurt Parfait made with house made granola and fresh tropical fruit. The service was spot on, kind, courteous and attentive in a non intrusive fashion. All this plus the MOST BEAUTIFUL view made this meal a truly memorable experience. Thanks for the beautiful memories ZAMAS!

We were there for dinner, the friday night before NYE. We had a reservation, and were seated on the back outdoor patio, the view was amazing! It was cool that night, due to rains that day, however, that view was totally worth the cooler weather. I had heard this was a "happening" spot. However, the crowd was very small. The band, which was good, was just getting started when we were leaving, so maybe the crowd picked up after we left. The menu was surprisingly small. We started with a roasted vegetable dish, which was delectable and guacamole, which was solid. The drinks we tried were interesting, but none in particular that I would recommend. When we went to order dinner, they were out of almost every fish dish on the menu! We finally gave up and left, going elsewhere to finish dinner, as we did not come to Mexico for beef, lol. The view was fantastic, and based on that and reputation, I would probably give this place another shot the next time I am in Tulum.
