   A little disappointing on this occasion with regard to the food. My daughter in law and I chose the sea bream special but the portion of fish was extremely small and therefore not good value for money. It was however quite tasty. My two grandchildren had the burger but this was dry and somewhat overcooked. The main girl serving and who took our order was good and smiley but maybe the second girl needs a little more training?

   A family of 4 for lunch. All happy. We had burger, pork roll and soup, and cheese on sourdough with marmite onions. All were really good. Comprehensive menu from sandwiches to a full 3 courses menu.

   Lovely meal for Mothers Day in the garden. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was very tasty and beautifully presented although a little slow to arrive after ordering but well worth the wait! It was a bit chilly in the garden as under sun shades and still only March, so heaters would be good and blankets at the ready. Dress for comfort and warmth. In all, a great family get together and will definately be returning.

   The food was fabulous. It was my Mum’s birthday meal and over the last few years she’s not been out to eat very much what with COVID and my Dad suffering a stroke. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and we truly appreciated the free dessert because it was her birthday. We will definitely be returning, thank you.

   Great food. Wonderful staff. We has the Sunday roasts, they were huge! The carrorts were over cooked and the potatoes raw. But then food was still lovely and I would go again.

    My friend and I enjoyed a very pleasant lunch with excellent service, good food and wine. We both had the whitebait which was well cooked (not overdone as sometimes can happen). My friend very much enjoyed the camembert and I was equally pleased with the goats cheese and figs - great presentation too.

    I visited one week ago for lunch and the food and service were both exceptionally good. Yesterday (one week later) was not quite to the same excellent standard in that the service was not as slick and the food not as 'amazing' as the previous week.

    Great atmosphere in the back garden, fully undercover with heaters. I was concerned when I saw the tables out the front as we had booked for a family meal but after being led into the back courtyard it was wonderful from start to finish

    We booked a table for 6 - 3 couples and the table offered was not at all acceptable - no spacing at all. Perhaps in fairness I should have told them when booking. They quickly moved us to a better table plan. However you would think they would take drink orders straight away. Same when we wanted repeat orders. Bit strange when we were seated right by the service desk! We had to ask them. Food was good and plentiful. Waitress was very pleasant but it seemed all the effort had to come from us.

    This was our first lunch out for months and we were a little nervous. However, we were made to feel most welcome and comfortable, and any safety concerns we might have had were swiftly allayed. The food was wonderful too!

    We were disappointed with the Sunday roast as we had read the description on the website and were really looking forward to it. The meal was very mediocre with tough meat being hidden under pools of lukewarm gravy. The pork came with good crackling but no apple sauce. In fact the beef and pork were treated the same with Yorkshire puddings on all plates. The service was friendly but intermittent with staff forgetting we were there. We would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning ourselves.

    Perfect! The service was fantastic lovely friendly girls and the food was delicious too. We had the pancakes and full English. Nothing was to much trouble look forward to going back.

    The Onslow blows hot and cold.......today was cold. Service was poor (waited 20 mins before main course plates were cleared......and then had to ask), roast lamb was stringy, fatty left overs, no decent slices. Roast pork pretty tasteless and veg not very warm. Sea Bass was very good though. Asked for apple sauce that never arrived. One dessert came without cream. Didn’t complain at time as we had guests. Felt invisible at times. Just such a shame they can’t be consistent because when they are good they are very good.
