Great place for breakfast, particularly in Spring after rain & with a fill river running close by. Service was spot-on & the early morning (9:00am) provided a very relaxed atmosphere. Food was just right although the amount of bacon could have been reduced - great taste & cooked nice & crispy.
Magnificent location, lovely establishmebnt but very dissappoionted in the food and the price of same.
Good afternoon Alan, thank you for taking the time to leave a review with us! I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with your meals during your visit, had you discussed this with the service staff at the time? If you would like, please feel free to send me an email with details about your experience as I would be more than happy to take time to discuss with you. Warm regards; James
Great service, delicious food. Only down side is that they close at 3pm. Coming from Melbourne, I really miss having a cafe/restaurant where you can have breakfast/lunch, and if you're having a great time, be able to just stay and have the next meal there. Otherwise great.
Don’t bother looking at this menu! It’s out of date! Went there hoping for a pork belly, not available on the new menu! Ordered flathead fillets instead, but they were out of them. Tried barramundi instead, but it was deep fried, so it tasted very dry.
Thank you John for taking time to review us. I'm sorry we didn't have the items you had your heart set on that day. As you would have noted on the website, it states our menu is indicative and subject to change. With recent circumstances we moved to a temporary bespoke menu for our service, and the team on the day should have conveyed the changes to our fish dish upon being seated. We are launching our new menu next week, and we look forward to inviting you back again to try it out! ~James
Not a lot of choice on the menu for lunch. The previous menu was better . No more burger? Seafood basket?
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review with us Sandy! I'm sorry to hear none of the items on our temporary bespoke menu took your fancy. Now with recent events settling down, we're excited to be launching our new menu mid October, and look forward to inviting you and your guests back to see what you think! Warm regards; James
Every should spoil themselves with breakfast here.
Pleasant lunch in a beautiful relaxing place. Most enjoyable.
Very enjoyable atmosphere, lovely staff, and delicious food and beverages. Would have liked to have the staff check in with us after we got our meals and offer more drinks as I would have happily bought another drink. Also, the menu is very limited and it would have been nice to have more side options with my eggs and bacon. However, overall very pleasant and always enjoy coming here. Highly recommend!
We always love coming to the River Deck Café for lunch on a sunny day and the experience was 10/10 as usual.
Worked well for small family catch-up including elderly aunt
Food, service and the view were all great. Highly recommend.
Post shutdown lunch and so I thought the menu was a little light on but understandable for this time. Everything else was very good. This restaurant on the banks of the Murray has the best view and the food does not disappoint.
My latte was just okay. Could have been a lot creamier.
So great to be able to eat at Riverdeck Cafe again after floodwaters receded.
Loved the ricotta gnocchi with spring veges..so fresh and light. Would recommend 👍
Good menu, good service and we weren't rushed out after an hour
Good food, good service, reasonably priced, great location.
A great location, friendly service and excellent food!
The staff are awesome, you overlook the murray river and the food was superb.
I am a little hard if hearing. There were a lot of diners at the time we were there, so I had to battle with conversation, even listening to the waitress.
I do like the Riverside cafe though, but being from Victoria, we will be barred from dining there for some time.
The customer service was excellent and very welcoming very covid safe and clean and checking that everyone is checked in. The service was excellent The food was delicious and well presented, the waiting time was great and the whole experience was fantastic I would highly recommend the deck to everyone, can't wait to go back thank you to all
Lovely ambiance by the river! Food was delicious and presented creatively! Relaxing and stylish atmosphere! We look forward to eating here again soon!
New menu - all meals that we had were fabulous! Attention to detail in presentation was great. Service was lovely as usual. Everything was as we hoped for.
Please consider putting milkshakes for young children under 5 in smaller unbreakable cups with lids and straws and making smaller more child freindly meals for them.
Wonderful setting. Good variety of menu choices and some innovative dishes. Wonderful for family an d friends gatherings.
Morning brunch celebrating my daughters birthday. Wonderful place to go. Good service. Great food and lovely surroundings. Would highly recommend this place to everyone.
Had a lovely breakfast at the river deck cafe. Coffee was great. Food was great. Service was great. Overall a great experience
Very nice lunch featuring tenderbeef cheek and a very good gnochi. Attentive service and always a pleasant venue.
We booked for 11am hoping to have brunch but at 11.10 were advised that breakfast had finished and we had to order from the lunch menu which was a little heavy at 11.30 am on Sunday.
Great food , great people , highly recommend , will be back
The gnocchi were warm to cool & melted cheese a little hard, the red wine cold and needed heating, the fondant was really nice
Position and view fantastic. Might have been a bad day, but service slow and food ordinary. Fish overcooked, salad past it’s used by date. Number of gnocchi pieces less than 10, cheese unable to be cut with a knife. Suspect precooked and reheated to rubber.
The menu offered little of interest to my companion and I. She chose fish and chips, I the soup. Both were alright, but not great. Service was SLOW. We waited 30 minutes for coffee from ordering to deliver. It is a lovely place but ...
Brekky with bestie
A delightful venue in a superb setting in either winter or summer with good atmosphere.
As a moderately regular patron, I continue to be disappointed by what I consider the over-priced mains that could only generously be described as ‘hardly adequate’ in size in relation to the price of the serving.
Very few options for those gastronomically challenged unfortunately.
Service is always fantastic and deliciously different meals.
The food was overoriced and too salty. The cafe was understaffed.
The staff were all smiling and friendly. The service was prompt but not intrusive. The food, all four meals, was outstanding. We, myself & three mates (all in our 60’s), are not hard to please but most certainly selective and unanimously agreed that we will be back for more. Thanks muchly & feel free to share our evaluation of your top notch establishment.
The beautiful river view, cute interior and toasty fire would've been enough to win me over. The staff were super friendly but the food is 100% the drawcard! The portions are generous and the taste, divine! I've only been for breakfast, but the breakfast gumbo was so delicious I'll definitely find myself back at the River Deck Cafe. Thank you for an amazing start to my day!
Very enjoyable afternoon in the sun. Lovely meal and service
Open and tranquil space with ambience amongst the trees. Well-spaced tables. A very helpful waitress assisted with finding GF DF options for me and the food was outstanding. Great wine list too. Looking forward to trying the breakfast menu.
