Is this a joke? You failed to tell us that the place had ceased trading some time ago. Thanks for nothing.

My family are regular diners at the Riverside Barn and we have never been less than 100% satisfied with the delicious food, the friendly and personal service and attention to individual needs and culinary preferences. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Booked there to meet up with friends of long standing, it's a fairly regular thing we do trying out new places for good food and ambience. This didn't disappoint. My wife has already told all her work colleagues so I guess that speaks for itself.

This is the first time we have been to Riverbarn, wonderful surprise to find a local restaurant that offers fine dining. The food is delicious. Price for dinner (2courses) with wine was same price as eating at over priced PUB up the road and 100% more delicious and relaxing. Can’t wait to go back.

Excellent meal; good choice of dishes, beautifully cooked and presented by Head Chef, Jonny and Sous Chef, Tom using locally sourced ingredients. Great ambience, a real gem of a locally run family business with Jill & Ian (Mum & Dad) working effortlessly at front of house to ensure professional service and they also enjoy a good rapport with clientele. A very special place plus Riverbarn has rooms to stay too, so great for special occasions!

We thought the food was excellent but felt that the lighting in the area we were in could have been a little dimmer for a more cosy ambience. Everyone of our party enjoyed their food choices, beautifully cooked and not over seasoned, the natural flavours shone. The venison was beautifully tender with a delicious sauce that didn't overpower it. Overall a lovely dining experience in rural Wiltshire.

Delightful oasis in Fonthill Bishop with pretty garden and good car parking that is easily accessible from the A303. Quality ingredients and service with good wine list and bottled beer selection all served in a leisurely pace. Booking probably essential at peak times. Hope to visit again - thankyou.

The owners of the restaurant were absolutely lovely, incredibly welcoming and charming. The menu was not large, but just packed with really tempting food - we took ages to make our choices. The food was terrific, beautifully cooked and presented. I eat out a lot, so it's hard to find a place which is excellent without being exorbitantly expensive and/or very snooty. The Riverbarn is simply a lovely place, with a lovely team who serve really interesting and excellent food - at a reasonable price. Seek them out, you won't be disappointed.

excellent for carnivores and vegetarians - and such well presented and delicious food. a little heavy handed with shellfish - worth noting that many fish eaters don't go for shellfish, so don't ruin a good dish with mussels!
good ambience too.
