Since taking over the venue, we have been working hard to transform the building into a truly special pub, restaurant and coffee house.

Whatever reason you may have for visiting us – a healthy or hearty breakfast, a coffee with home-baking beside our wood-burning stove or downstairs with the kids in the play area, fantastic food with family in our restaurant, a glass of wine or a local beer with friends in our bar or on the riverside terrace – we assure you of a friendly welcome from staff who care.

Please let us know when you book if you are bringing your dog and we will reserve a suitable table.

The Riverside really is our dream come true and we look forward to welcoming you through its doors.

    Good gluten free options. Food was just ok. We had to keep asking the staff for things, they didn't approach us to ask if we needed anything, Staff were friendly.

    Great service and the food was good. The restrooms were spotless. The restaurant itself smells of fish when you walk in, not the best welcome. Our party had a small baby in a pram - the server held a tray of drinks over her, perhaps some training could be done on this. Overall a lovely lunch with a good ambiance.

    Lovely bright and busy restaurant. Fab vegetarian menu to complement the usual menu. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a casual lunch out for couples, friends or families.

    Food was ok I had Salad with prawns - a lot of rocket!! Over priced. Other guest had burger , chips- no salad with it again over priced!

    The best value is probably when you can dine riverside on their patio. Somewhat limited whisky menu.

    Don’t let the scruffy exterior put you off. Inside it’s warm and welcoming. The staff are always attentive, helpful and friendly. The food is good but it’s the staff that make it.
