Really lovely dinner in a gorgeous location. Service was spot on. As per previous reviews, the only negative was that the menu was pretty limited (carb heavy!), with a few things not available and the specials only having one dish available. Request to The Rockpool, can you consider offering mussels and a seafood pasta dish? Definitely then a five star all round!

Lovely setting, lovely staff serving us, but the food was mediocre for the price. Menu choice was poor. Pizzas were standard, but with all the seafood available, no seafood pizza?! If you didn’t want pizza the choice was limiting with no red meat available it was either chicken burger or fried fish. We had calamari side where the calamari was on the over done side, a little rubbery and the salad leaves were swimming in oil. Flavour however was good. What we ate was pleasant but if you have such a small menu you really need to nail what little you have to offer. Would still go back for drinks or a lunch but would not go for an evening meal again as there are better offerings locally for the same or less money.

Booked for Sunday lunch, five adults and two children, in early August. Beach and car park busy but parking OK (not owned by Rockpool, so a small charge). Staff were superb and service spot on. Sunday roast for four adults and two children’s portions, and an adult pizza. Roast beef and belly pork and a vegy option. Choice of pizzas. Lots of vegetables and gravy. A bottle🍷 of wine, a pint of local IPA 🍺 and with tips the bill came to £150. Food was good and the restaurant clean and airy. Decent toilets. Didn’t seem 100% full but enough for a convivial atmosphere. Outside seating non bookable and take away options. Located on the edge of the dunes so a short stroll by a stream to get to the beach. We came at Easter and were equally happy .. and with a big wood burner stove. Lots of Sunday lunch options in Cornwall… this is a good one😀

Not the best experience. The food order wasn’t put though to the kitchen so after waiting for 40 mins they had to rush the order through again. Thankfully the gave us the drinks for free. The staff were very apologetic and attentive. The gents toilets were also quite messy and smelled horrendous

Went to have Sunday roast, only to find that it stopped at 3pm. Booked online at 3.45 so didn’t know. Only pizzas, and some left over pork roast…which was awful, so didn’t pay for 2 out of the 3 left. The white wine was warm, so had to ask for an ice bucket.very disappointing as a precious family holiday which was somewhat spoilt. The waitress was a lovely young lady. She was the only plus point.

I’ve been here twice and have pretty much eaten everything off the menu it is so uninspiring, no fish dishes, no salads, not even a burger,just pizzas or a roast on Sunday but you have to sit inside. Lovely location but will not go back until they have more choices!

Excellent food in a beautiful location, and service was spot on - staff were clear around timescales for food (longer than usual due to holiday season), but when it arrived, it was obviously fresh and cooked expertly. There is plentiful parking (paid for - download the Justpark app), very dog friendly with lots of space inside and outside.

We had a breakfast following an early check out from a local AirBnB. We had a fabulous experience - staff were really friendly and attentive. Also had one of the best cortados I’ve had! Great location, great food. Highly recommend.

Love it. We live locally and drop our daughter off at the Junior Surf Academy, give the dog a run on the beach and have the best ever breakfast at the Rockpool. Fantastic food and the loveliest staff. Nothing to criticise. It's our weekly treat. Can't recommend it enough.

Another delicious Sunday roast at the Rockpool. It’s is always consistently good, staff are cheery and helpful without coming across as fake - spot on. Food is fantastic. It’s amazing how so many places can get a roast so wrong but the Rockpool always delivers a perfect experience. See you next week!!!
