A bit disappointed, compared to my experience in another local pub in this group. Chicken was hard and overcooked and chips were a little anaemic looking and also slightly harder than they should have been. Having said all that, this pub was packed and most people seemed to be eating, so it must be difficult to get the
orders out and the pub is quite big. Food was served fairly promptly and Good service.

I booked the table as I had arranged a trip to the Harry Potter Studios for my partner and my 2 children.
We had had a lovely day and was looking forward to a nice meal.
On the positive side, the ambiance of the place was nice and we were met with a friendly greeting. The starter which we all shared the platter and dough balls was very nice.
On the negative side, Although i believe that our waiter (who was attentive and well mannered) did take down the order correctly, 3 out of the 4 meals were incorrect. My daughters pizza had to be returned as they had served a standard pizza even though she had requested only 2 items as toppings.
My other daughter ordered a medium rare steak and arrived almost blue. This was returned as well and when it was re-servered, the rest of the food on the plate was cold.
both of my daughters altough hungry failed to eat their respective meals.
Then there was my meal, i specifically requested that i did not want butternut squash purée and toasted almonds and that i have mushrooms instead. It came with butternut squash purée on the plate.
To be fair when we pointed out these issues and our disappointment, the manager took both my daughters meals off the bill.
We had high hopes for the meal after a lovely starter but ended our visit very disappointed by our experience of the restaurant.

Lovely meal but it was quite busy and loud where we were sat down. I would ask to be further away from the bar next time.

We have been here a few times before. The food and service is always very good. The coffee machine was broken but the staff coped well with orders. Always a long trek to the loo but at least they’re clean when you finally get there!

We have been to this pub on several occasions and have always had great food and service. Unfortunately on this occasion it let us down. Service was slapdash and menu was not as appealing as usual. Not sure if it was due to holiday staff etc, but disappointed. Will definitely go back again as this was only one poor experience, against all the rest that have been good.

Nice surroundings and wonderful food. The food was late arriving but the staff handled the delay brilliantly. Visited on route to Warner Bros Studio Tour. If you’re visiting I highly recommend this place as it’s only 5 minutes away. Very convenient for high quality food.
