Absolutely delicious, every single course was perfect. Porcini bread sauce is a game changer!
Lovely surroundings, excellent service and beautiful food. What’s not to love?!
This an excellent option in Deal. Really well run. Managed to implement restrictions whilst still creating a relaxing and enjoyable environment. Staff were very attentive. The menu is imaginative and emphasises local produce. An excellent experience.
Delicious food, great service and brilliant value. We will definitely be back!
Limited lunchtime menu
Rather expensive for what it was.
Seating feels more like you are in a sitting room with low chairs not conducive to dining.
Lovely food and atmosphere, would definitely recommend
As always, super food, excellent service. Never fails to disappoint.
Best meal I’ve had in a long time, atmosphere was perfect for date night and cocktails were delicious! Very good value for money, can’t wait to come back with friends ❤️
Delicious. Fantastic menu, excellent service and great value. We have already booked another stay!
We had a lovely meal and they were very happy to welcome our dog as well!
Delicious food, friendly staff, beautifully decorated restaurant. What more could you want!
Had lunch here on Sunday to celebrate our son in laws 50th birthday. We were a party of 8 so obviously due to Covid restrictions we would be unable to be seated together ! However we asked to have adjacent tables ! On arrival 5 of our party were placed in the bar area the other three in the restaurant so we were unable to even see each other ! This booking was made several weeks ago and the request was made at the time, so naturally we were very disappointed to have had our request ignored ! The food was okay but a strange choice ! I would have expected more emphasis on Sunday roasts! The shoulder of lamb was really fatty with very little edible meat ! The potatoes however were amazing ! Beware of the steep steps to the toilets I found out too late that a disabled toilet was available ! A lot of noise from the kitchen/bar with empty bottles being discarded ! All in all a disappointment
The food was not good this week must have need a different chief for breakfast this Sunday.
We had to send ours back and we’re still charged full price which was shocking and not even a sorry
Great food and environment would definitely return and already making plans to do so.
We had one of the best meals out for a long time. Will definitely be back and it’s now our go to place for special occasions.
Delicious food, attentive service and beautiful interiors.
Absolutely loved the duck and beetroot dish. Husband preferred the slaw you used to do with the schnitzel rather than potato salad
also LOVED the dill gin. Can I have the recipe !
We came on a rainy October Thursday. Really impressed lovely setting, really professional service and amazing food. Worth the 1 hour drive !!!
Lovely dinner and experience at The Rose recently. Local squid, grilled oysters, grilled cabbage, skate wing and a pumpkin dish, all delicious and just what we hoped for. Nice enough wines. Service was lovely. Summed up to a very enjoyable evening. A real treat when visiting Deal. Could easily become a regular here if only I were a local. Recommended.
Everything from cocktails through to desserts was delicious. Would recommend it all, especially the lobster donuts.
An absolutely delicious meal - the lobster doughnuts were a highlight as you’d expect! Very tasty mains and well-seasoned all round (I had lemon sole, chips and griddled hispi cabbage). Great dining room and a relaxing bar next door. A great destination spot for Deal.
Fabulous overnight stay at The Rose. Can’t fault a thing. Truly special.
After a shaky start The Rose seems to have found its feet. Excellent service and delicious food made for a very special lunch. I was solo but not made to feel like a pariah, a very comfortable table in a good position. Everybody seemed to be enjoying their food and a couple of neighbours were raving about the burgers!
We had some great food and enjoyable wine in a well organised and well spaced restaurant where we felt safe to meet as friends for dinner. We have heard good things about The Rose and were very impressed. We will return, health permitting, as soon as we feel like an informal night out in a gastropub. My burger was well cooked as I like it, and brownie points for not adding all sorts of stuff to it. Burger, pink, and chips with half a gherkin meant I could eat it all. Friends were very complimentary about their lemon sole and chicken schnitzel. Cod’s roe starter was delicious, and good reports about the steak tartare. The mushrooms were a bit less well received because the broth lcoukd have done with bit more flavour. Otherwise 10 out of 10.
Excellent duck, beautifully cooked beetroot and hispi cabbage, an excellent main; well-made dessert, perhaps walnut flavour over strong in the parfait. The people are really friendly and the place is cosy and welcoming.
Good choice of wines- perhaps the strength and degree of wine could be listed and some organic wine made available.
The food was of a very high quality. There is an innovative drinks menu and the draft beers are very good
Very well cooked and presented lunch, and prompt. attentive service.
But rather expensive - both for the portion size and the location
Amazing food. The roast was one of the next i I’ve ever had
I didn’t want to give a review as feel it’s our little secret this place.
Its clean, great interior, great food and so peaceful in a busy town.
Good. Fab food.
Loved it . Cant wait to go back. Would have loved to have the ability to make a cup of tea or a dressing gown to stand in the hallway whilst making a cup of tea but that was the only issue.
The food was exceptional, and incredibly good value, the service very friendly. The bedroom was extremely comfortable, and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast the next day was delicious, and great coffee too. All in all a great treat, and time out.
Wine is too expensive and should have closed for lunch as was getting ready for evening so told us we only had hour and half!!!!
Great food and cosy atmosphere- staff were really helpful and polite
There were a lot of diners, the food was ok but not outstanding. The service wasn’t too good either.
Always a treat and great value to eat at The Rose. Even in these odd times they have managed to keep the restaurant cosy and welcoming while keeping safe. Will be back!
A lovely Saturday night dinner- the lighting was a little bright over our table however it was no hassle for staff to move us. Service was friendly and efficient throughout. Food was delicious and great choice on the menu. Only minor negative was that the bottle of white wine we wanted was out of stock. We will be returning as cannot wait to try the new autumn/winter menu. LOVELY!
The pub is very nice. Limited menu and a bit pricey for pub lunch, but food is very good.
Wonderful lunch, food was really delicious. Kids menu v generous and not just the usual tomato pasta offering. We all left licking your lips and talking about the tastes! Thank you!
