The Rosebery
Founded as a tea room in the 1920’s, this elegant and luxurious dining room located in Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is decorated in pastel shades of green with high ceilings and chandeliers, a fireplace and large windows offering natural daylight.
With an extensive selection of the finest teas from around the world including the signature “Mandarin Blend”, our dedicated Tea Master has created an enticing menu that reflects our rich heritage and commitment to quality.
To complement your choice of selected teas, Executive Chefs Francisco Hernandez and Paul Thieblemont have created a seasonal menu including hand-rolled sandwiches, pastries, freshly baked scones with clotted cream, strawberry jam, rose petal jelly and homemade lemon curd.

Lovely welcome but the service was not very attentive during the sitting. We had to ask for top-ups of the tea on several occasions.
The table was in the middle of the walkway on some bouncy floorboards so felt like having tea on a boat.
Not quite sure it was worth the £54 min per person
They were really nice staff who were really helpful. I had the vegan tea and was one of the best i have had. I can’t recommend the apricot white tea enough, had multiple servings. The visual was again one of the best. They had lots of interesting drink options, actually did the wine pairing which was good.
Have been looking for an alternative treat to a short holiday this was it, the food was lovely, the ambiance was perfect, I loved that the room could retain the traditional tea room vibe without being 'high end' detracting from that, the staffs professional persona is excellent and I enjoyed the overall experience.
Only constructive criticism I have is that the table was low with limited room mine was a touch exposed but then I like to be tucked out the way - being low and standing out means it's hard for the waiter not to tower over you somewhat
The staff and ambiance at The Rosebery were superb. It was a fantastic way to spend a rainy afternoon indoors safely! I can't recommend this place enough. My husband and I chose to do the wine pairing with the Afternoon Tea and it was delightful. The entire staff explained each item with great precision and knowledge. Every detail was accounted for and appreciated. Next time we go back we are going to try the infamous Sake pairing!
We couldn’t have had a better experience. Lina and team treated us like absolute royalty and the food was divine. Nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was wonderful. We’ll be back!
A special treat for a friend expecting her first child. Tom, our waiter was exemplary in his care and attention to detailing the delights on offer for our Winter Afternoon Tea in The Rosebery. Our 'special needs' were met above our expectations and made the experience an absolute delight. My friend and 'bump' throughly enjoyed the afternoon and was surprised and delighted with her special pastry made for the occasion saying 'Congratulations'.
A wonderful experience to celebrate a birthday. We were so well looked after. Special thanks to Geraint who made us feel very special.
Best afternoon tea in London in my opinion. Service is attentive and excellent. Teas are delicious as is food. You can switch tea multiple times. Beautiful ambiance. Staff all friendly and welcoming.
The staff as always are attentive, funny and charming.
Always a lovely experience in the Rosebery Room.
nice Good service
Great food, service and ambiance! Such a grand place which did not disappoint.
A lovely experience at afternoon tea. The service is welcoming, surrounds and decor are beautiful and the food was delicious. Perfectly presented sandwiches, cakes and scones and a great selection of tea and champagne. Everything was delicious and plentiful.
My daughter and I celebrated New Year’s Day tea at the Rosebery. The service and ambience were on point. The savory sandwiches and scones with clotted cream were delicious. I would recommend this tea for a special occasion when in London.
Great afternoon tea!!!
I have been here many times but never at Christmas it was lovely, we are very fussy with food and they
always meet our needs, Service was good but not as good as normal i would usually rate the service as
excellent but they missed a couple of tricks on the occasion
Amazingly good food and tea. Value for money.
We went to the high tea on Christmas Day and loved it.
The service was the worst I had experienced in two decades, the food was good but in no way outstanding
A wonderful afternoon for a Christmas teatime. We’ll definitely come back ! Thanks for everything.
Terrible service and overpriced food. Breakfast buffet is vastly lacking in options. Waited 40 mins for an omelette- cancelled it and left.
The place was disappointing with kids playing in their iPads and video games .
Fantastic festive afternoon tea, my 10 year old enjoyed it tremendously, so did the rest of us. Delicious teas and generous delicious food.
Staff were lovely and the food amazing. It was a lovely Christmas treat.
The service from Lina and Nadia was impeccable, and made my first afternoon tea an experience worth repeating.
Outstanding service in a beautiful setting, would recommend for a special occasion.
From the moment you step into the Mandarin Oriental, you are captured by the beautiful decor of which we were extra blessed as the Xmas decorations were beautiful. The afternoon tea was bottomless, and the sandwich selection was tailored to individual taste which was wonderful as I am pescatarian. The scones were cranberry which made a refreshing change and the lemon curd jam and rose jam also added a difference. Cakes were themed and delightful. The Rosenberg was a totally recommended thumbs up. Only negative was in the bar, £22.95 for a very small cocktail was a bit steep!!
It was lovely for afternoon tea but I did still leave feeling hungry! I think more effort could be made with the bread e.. g. at the Dorchester they have 🍅 bread for example
Sandwiches are good and the overall services were superb except one waitress forgot our request of paying the bills and let us wait for 15mins. The sweets were absolutely terrible , also, the waitress ask us do we need water for the table before gave us the menu, nobody told us the water costs 7 pounds which we thought was free, and served a whole bottle without asking how much we want. I book this as a part of my friend’s graduation trip, we are not happy with the experience here, surely not gonna come again.
Great for Breakfast (haven’t tried lunch and diner); great atmosphere, very nice staff.
A fantastic location and prefect setting for a lovely afternoon tea. Staff were delightfully attentive, food was lovely; couldn’t have asked for more.
Everything was absolutely amazing especially the scones, worth a visit.
Great experience
This was another return visit to The Rosebery, to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. Everything was just perfect. All the staff were very friendly and made sure we were very well looked after during our afternoon tea. The sandwiches were replenished several rimes, as were our teas and my wife champagne. This is without doubt the best venue in London.
Absolutely incredible experience! The staff are so attentive and take their time to explain everything, offer recommendations and make the experience really special. The food was some of the best I’ve had at an afternoon tea, a perfect mix of traditional and modern. The highlight was the congratulatory dessert that was brought out to celebrate my graduation, which was such a lovely surprise!
Keera and Ivas took great care of us. friendly service and the food was par excellence.
Good food and great location. Too noisy compared to other times I have been there. Very poor service given the price and the selling proposition they have: food and teas not coming on time, we had to ask many times for a refill or to get an additional tea. 3 different waiters were assigned to our table, making a lot of confusion with what had already been ordered and what not. At the end, they took away our stuffs without asking if we were done or not, or without offering anything more. All in all, a great location and high quality of food and ingredients not matching the service and the experience of exclusivity that I would have expected.
This was my second visit to the Rosebery for afternoon tea, and once again it didn’t disappoint. From the exceptional high quality flavours in all dishes, to the beautiful ambiance and outstanding service, it’s an afternoon tea that is not to be missed! Worth every penny!
Fantastic - we just loved it. Service Wars in top - and the personel was Nice and helpful.
It’s was lovely staff were amazing had a really lovely time
