Me wife and I, had our first english afternoon tea the day before the visit to Rosebery. What a difference in quality, service and taste! The service, food and selection of teas were absolute fantastic and many levels above what we experienced the day before.
I managed to consume 3 pots of tea during the two hour stay, plus some tastings of my wifes tea selection. Included was additional tastings of teas, sandwiches, scones and cakes.
One of many top memories from the visit at Rosebery was when my wife ordered a taste of Da Hong Pao, a very special tea. The Sommelier of tea at Rosebery came to our table and brewed it there and explained, and let us smell and taste the wonderful tea. To choose this tea you had to pay 7 Pounds extra, but it was worth it. This tea was infused two times at our table, but could do more...
We can recommend Afternoon tea at The Rosebery for everyone who wants an special time, an extraordinary experience. Its worth it! We will come back to The Rosebery next time we are in London.
Afternoon tea at the Rosebery was fantastic, I could not recommend it enough! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, it was the best afternoon tea I have had and I have been to a lot of the top London hotels!
This was my 5th visit to the Rosebery for afternoon tea. On this occasion it was my 30th Birthday and the experience was exceptional
The best afternoon tea myself or my friend has had! The food was delicious, the staff extremely attentive and the surroundings beautiful. Thoroughly worth the cost.
Excellent service and great food and teas!
The best afternoon tea in London! Impeccable service and delicious food in gorgeous surroundings. Perfect!
Delicious sandwiches, scones & pastries.
Without a doubt the best afternoon tea I have ever had. Everything from the fantastic sandwiches (the egg mayo and truffle I couldn't stop eating) to warm and soft scones to the brilliant patisserie that just got better with each new one I tried. The service was really friendly and efficient. One thing that stood out was the wine/beer or saki paring with each part of the tea, really unusual to have this with an afternoon tea instead of a tasting menu. I would really recommend this.
Overall amazing though as we were last seating and felt a bit rushed by the service on the last 2 courses of tea and food. Also not all good options were available as waiters mentioned they had run out of selections.
Delicious food and perhaps last seating should be slightly earlier to enable guests to have the full tea experience at leisure.
Fantastic service, fantastic food and our favourite place for afternoon tea. Cannot wait to return again to try the breakfast. The quality of the food is unbelievable and the staff make you feel so comfortable. The selection of teas is vast and all we tried are absolutely beautiful. The apricot white tea is a personal favourite! Cannot recommend the Rosebery Lounge enough
I have been here a few times because it's one of the best afternoon teas in London, this time is was actually even better in every way, I always think there is roo. For improvement , however as far as the rosebury they cannot improve on perfection and that is exactly what it was.
Accidentally thought we were booking the restaurant overlooking the park which we adore. We learned, upon arrival, that it was being renovated. Our group was 7 and we were sat immediately. The menu for breakfast is a decent one and we were offered water right away. However the rest of the service speed was painfully slow. We only ordered some pancakes and poached eggs yet we had to wait nearly an hour from the time we ordered until our food arrived. There were only 2 or 3 other occupied tables in the restaurant yet the time it took for our juices and coffees then food to come out was unacceptable. Additionally, the food was only average.
Best afternoon tea menu ever, very good environment and service.
We had a fabulous afternoon, The food was lovely, the service and the staff were just fabulous the whole way through and so friendly! One of our party has a severe nut allergy and the attention and reassurance she received was just incredible. She was able to take part in the whole tea and was given the confidence by staff to eat the food without worrying about her allergy. Well done to the whole team!!!
Excellent service, lovely food and friendly staffs.
The place is beautiful but the service was extremely slow for a 5 star hotel, food was nice. overall too expensive for experience.
Love their free flow of sandwiches and wide range of tea selection.
I went to the Rosebery with my 9 years old son for an afternoon tea, as a special mum’s treat while we were alone during the weekend. The ambience of the Rosebery is truly special, our waiter was super-attentive and tactful - my son son was so impressed by his manners and how he would recommend different selections of teas... all the food was superb - the egg and truffle sandwiches delicious and the pastries exquisites.
We’ll definitely go back with the rest of the family soon!
We had a lovely time at the Rosebery. We had the afternoon tea set (£59 pp), which includes unlimited sandwiches (foie gras, crab, egg & truffle, chicken and mushroom, spicy tuna) and a wonderful array of desserts, including two kinds of scone. We didn’t have any of the alcohol supplements, and instead chose from the extensive and delicious tea menu. Service started off very well, and was good throughout the busier period. Overall a very pleasant visit and worth the price for a special occasion.
Wow I think this is best one afternoon tea in London
Amazing service. Nothing was trouble for any of the staff. Even had oat milk to cater for dairy-free milk requirements. Really delicious selection of vegetarian sandwiches too! One of best in London.
Fantastic experience. Excellent service and lovely food!
Let’s Start with the great hospitality and Greeting 10/10 child friendly 10/10 & the food was fantastic and quantity was great for two adults sharing an afternoon tea. Also ordered a Child afternoon tea which put a smile on my 3 year old and kept her occupied by providing drawings too. to be repeated thank you Fabio and everyone that helped make our experience a wonderful Sunday afternoon tea.
Excellent afternoon tea at elegant atmosphere. Best choice of Gluten-free options I've ever met.
Beautiful venue. Just the right amount of attention, and the sandwiches were probably the nicest I have had for afternoon tea.
Perfectly attentive service. Delicious food.
Fathers birthday which was a lovely surprise for him. Although he is quite a simple man who hates fuss he loved the whole experience.
Wonderful all round. Rebooked for Mothers day. Best afternoon tea in London
Wonderfully sumptuous surroundings for an elegant afternoon tea. The sandwiches are fresh and delicious with flavoursome fillings that are exciting to eat. The scones are light and served with assorted jams and lemon curd. The cakes are a thing of art.
Exceptional service. Unusual sandwiches with great flavours. Wonderful cake selection. Beautiful scones and elegant setting. Keep coming back here and reminded why every time!
very nice place and delicious!
It was a very good time. Many thanks to The Rosebery. Xx
One of my favourite places for Afternoon tea. Great food and service. Had to remind staff for top up tea twice... otherwise I would have given 5 stars rather than 4.
Had an amazing experience at the Rosebery. Would definitely recommend! Stellar food, tea, and service.
It was ok, but not the best afternoon tea I’ve had in London, perhaps my expectations were too high. When I ordered my tea, I asked which was the strongest black tea they had, the English breakfast was recommended. It was pre-brewed and was really weak. I then sent it back and asked for it to be made stronger. I then spoke to the tea sommelier who advised that actually the Assam was the one to have, so I did. That too was pre brewed and weak. So I asked if I could have a pot of tea with leaves in it so that I could make my own strong tea. I finally received again pre brewed tea, and stronger. One of the things I do love about afternoon tea is the traditional way of having tea leaves brewing. Other than that frustrating start it was a pleasant afternoon. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious and the service really good.
Everything is perfect
Traditional Chinese culture and interior blended into English afternoon tea
Great experience. Lovely staff! Would do this again, one of my favourite afternoon teas!
Amazing experience. The only negatives is that it took one hour to bring out my daughters French fries and 30 minutes to refill our teas. Other than that I cannot fault it
So beautifully decorated for Christmas. A delicious afternoon teA, superb service
