We had the Lunchtime option of four tapas from the World Options menu and four taster desserts. Priced at £35 for two people, what a bargain. Food quality was great as were the portion sizes. We found the drink prices were very reasonable as well. Definitely recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Two of our group had the world tapas lunch which they really enjoyed. I had the steak and vegetables and cheese dumplings - all very good. I followed with the bread and butter pudding and my friends had the tasting plate of desserts. All of these were delicious.

Always enjoy our time dining at The Royal, my only negative is many dishes are not served with spoons which makes it difficult if we are sharing dishes.

We were a party of eight, three went for the steaks which looked good, the rest of us went for the tapas which was excellent. We chose pretty much one of most of them. All were good but the belly pork, prawns pil pil and smoked chicken were outstanding. Drink prices were very reasonable too. Had a great time.

Disappointing. The Asian pork belly was tough and chewy, there was a whole chunk of fat in the goat curry, and there was a bit too much fresh chilli across the dishes we ordered. We were in the conservatory part and a group of about 20 people, including small children came in. They were horribly noisy throughout our meal, and it was upsetting. I didn’t feel as though I could relax, have a decent conversation or concentrate on my food. The meal was meant to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, so I was left very deflated. Not keen to return, after my first visit some months ago had been really enjoyable.

We were a,table of 5 adults, sat in conservatory with a table of 10 with children for a party grace very noisy. Could not speak asked to be moved but table.

Good experience - definitely recommend a visit if you're into tapas (which we are). Recommend Asian Ribs, Prawn Piri, Smoked Shredded Chicken and Cheese Dumplings. Don't go for the goat curry - worst we've had - lumpy bits of fat.

Food was fantastic tasty hot and service was super quick all staff very attentive. The desert selection is something else all diets will go out the window with the gorgeous deserts on offer. Had a fantastic time booked whilst there to take the parents there. Thank you for a lovely experience with beautiful food.

This has been the third time eating here on a Sunday. It was a late booking of 16:30, which wasn’t ideal. But understanding as they are always busy. I don’t know if this was why the beef wasn’t its normal standard and the vegetables were a bit too Al dente. It was still ok, just not to their usual standard we thought.

A Roast lunch at The Royal was recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint! Staff were very attentive and the Roast Beef lunch was delicious..with extra vegetables provided on request. Already booked for December when we have family visiting.

My husband and I went there for the first time in October and chose a variety of tapas dishes and sides. We were both very impressed with the standard of service we received and food choices and taste; absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful steak - melt in the mouth. The red wine and shiitake mushroom sauce was amazing. The 4 pudding choice blew us away. We have already recommended the Royal to friends and family! We will be back! 🥰

We use this restaurant quite regularly and this is the worst experience we have had ! The service was appalling we had to keep reminding the staff that we were ready to order and even then they took a long time to respond! The restaurant was not very busy we were eventually the only diners and did not leave until after 3.15 a full 2hrs 15minutes after arriving! Needless to say we did not leave a tip! We will recommend the restaurant for the choice and quality of food but the service needs to return to its usual standard!

We totally enjoyed this dining experience each dish was outstanding, all became favourites, delicious, perfectly cooked well presented, washed down with very decent wine. Well done the Royal, we we return with friends and family.
