Welcome to The Saint Bar & Kitchen! Formerly St Andrews institution The West Port, the Saint has recently received an extensive renovation creating cosy, modern lounge areas and a refreshed, extensive garden area so you can enjoy whatever the Scottish weather throws your way.

Please note that our kitchen closes at 9pm so we cannot offer food after this time.

    Arrived early and were shown immediately to our table. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable server (Andrew). Food was really good and service was at a good pace.

    The food was poor. I had the house burger and chips. The burger was almost solid and did not taste fresh. The other person in my group had a ciabatta and chips sandwich. It was far too big and was dry. We were sat next to the toilet which stank. The toilets there always stink. They need to sort that out. Every time the door opened I got a massive whiff of toilet smell. The service was poor. New starts I grant you but it took an age to get our order taken. I had finished half my burger before the condiments came. And there was a distinct lack of care or welcoming. It’s a pity because I enjoyed the Saint previously.

    Mussels were excellent would certainly recommend. Had the grilled sea bass which also was good. Very noisy atmosphere however.

    Despite not wanting and asking for anything with garlic, the veg was served with garlic butter! The service was very slow - clearly not enough staff on and the poor waitresses were run ragged…. On top of this they still charged for veg despite it the replacement , coming after I finished the rest of the meal. Poor!!! Not worth the money. I would not return.

    Seating, food and drink orders were fast and efficient. Had to flag down someone for the check after waiting for 10 to 12 minutes. Otherwise, was a great experience.
