Great food, comfortable social distancing arrangements.
I go to the saint for coffee meetings, lunches and drinks and food in the garden. I always enjoy my visits. The staffs know me and they are always attentive and friendly. I love the atmosphere and the decor.
The food is good too but my favourite is the cocktails!!
Lovely food, great coffee, liked the friendly staff, felt like a propper outing, also had a nice table
Very pleasant ambience. Service unhurried which suited us well. Light bites were tasty and good value. Main menu prices seemed more in keeping with a special occasion.
We were celebrating my birthday - it was lovely to be out. We had my 4 year old grandson with us who was delighted with his chicken gougons , chips and beans I had Steak Pie and I can assure you it is the best Steak Pie I have ever had when I have been out anywhere. The others in out party thoroughly enjoyed their food too. The service was a bit slow but due to the circumstances of us moving to tier 3 the next day it was very busy.
A very enjoyable experience. Thank you.
Good venue, great service. A bit limited on options to have with coffee.
Friendly staff, good food and a nice atmosphere despite all the changes to meet all the regulations
We had a fantastic time. The food was excellent and the service was first class.
My favourite restaurant comfortable seating ambience excellent fir a relaxed meal. Staff and manageress wonderful helpful charming people. Showing special care for the elderly
The food was absolutely amazing alongside the lovely waitress who was quick and very friendly. Would reccomend!
Service was very very slow! Got seated outside the tent which was freezing!
As always had a lovely time at the Saint. Having previously been in several times for dinner and drinks it was my first time for breakfast but everything was still great. Friendly staff, delicious food in a beautiful setting!
Safe and proffesional service.
A bit limited on options for cakes/scones.
I would like to say a special mention to our waiter he was very accommodating and a credit to your restaurant and bar unfortunately I didn’t catch his name but he had a beard and showed us to our outdoor seating area which has a lovely ambiance about it .
It was my daughters birthday and it was a lovely start to our day ! Thanks again !
Served straight away. Sat at a nice table in the corner but never forgotten about. The meal was excellent. Cooked to perfection and nice and hot. Unfortunately we were both too full from our starter and main to have desert, but the menu looked good so we will be back to try them another time. Lovely place and lovely staff.
Also signed up for the newsletter with the offer of 25% off. Nothing received.
Have really made the most out the marquee - seating and atmosphere was fab!
Under the circumstances very well run and Staff excellent
The Club sandwich was very disappointing as the bread had not been toasted, as is normal. We had to wait nearly 20 minutes for our coffees, which were not too good at all. Very disappointing visit for lunch.
It was extremely loud in there, I had to basically shout at my friend. I could also barely hear what they’re ere saying. The service at the start was terrible as we sat there waiting for like 20-25mins so we thought we needed to use the QR code to order but once we stopped a server going by we managed to give an order. Also a small bottle of Budweiser was like 5pound a which is expensive even for St. Andrews, the brownie my friend ah seas also five pounds again being expensive.
The heaters were nice and the tent was cool but we also had to wait 5 mins before we got our temperatures taken and allowed to go sit down.
Fine. All COVID protocols in place. Excellent service.
(Usual loud American students broadcasting their life story across the restaurant, but this is nothing new in St Andrews).
Food and drinks excellence. Service was ok, had to call on the waiter a couple of times as he kept passing us without taking orders or clearing plates but would definitely visit again as the food was really good.
Amazing food, staff and cleanliness. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will def visit again soon, thank you
Service was terrible waited 45 minutes to get a drink as table service only. Advertised opening times are also incorrect closes at 21:00.
Had a great meal here - all the food was delicious and great value. Atmosphere is cosy and relaxing. Loved it!
Food was OK but overpriced. Front of house wasn’t overly friendly and gave us a rubbish table despite booking a week in advance. Wait staff were lovely
We had an excellent meal - the only reason for marking it down was because of the Covid restrictions we had to sit outside and it was rather chilly! More outside heaters needed methinks! Meal beautiful.
Very nice atmosphere, however it was a bit stressful getting last orders at 8 pm and the waiters rushing around and giving us the bill without us asking
I think if you were having food it would have been fine but just for a drink you are sa t furthest away from the building and the staff tend to forget you are there.
Really lovely, tasty food. Well presented and good sized portions. Serving staff were polite and attentive. Will definitely return.
Unfriendly manageress although waiting staff very friendly and helpful. Food ok but overpriced. Good COVID regulations.
Perfect Covid measured which did not spoil the atmosphere
The lady that greeted us on entering looked very unfriendly and didn’t crack a smile the whole way to our table. We had booked for lunch and she took us to armchair type seats with low coffee tables - not at all suitable for eating lunch - clueless. We had to ask to be moved which seemed to cause a bit of bother whilst the “iPad was checked”. The serving staff were very friendly but they were obviously short staffed and things took a while and we had to ask a few times for condiments. The food was average.
Current restrictions meant that we ate in the marquee, more heaters would have been good but all in all a pleasant experience. Staff excellent, food good and no rush to move on.
Beer Garden covered with marquee which kept wind out. Ideal to comply with COVID guidelines. Food & service very good.
Food was of a good standard and the bar coped well enough with Covid 19.
Really enjoyed our meal in a dog friendly venue. Glad we can support restaurants in these challenging times - missed having a bottle of wine! Friendly staff working very hard to continue to provide good customer service
Terrible, slow service. Wrong order brought to the table. Food cold. Overcharged. Very expensive. Will not be back. Even the tables were on different levels.
On visiting on Tuesday 13 October for a late lunch (3.00) a dog barked continually throughout lunch, very, very off putting. What did not help was that staff continued to pat this dog every time they walked past it. I am hoping that they washed their hands afterwards, but unfortunately I doubt it.
I would not really recommend The Saint if dogs are going to continually bark through lunch
Food ok,portion size was small especially kids meals
Wouldnt rush back
