Dog sitting at the table and its owner was giving it food off of her plate. I would not recommend for the above reason
Service was excellent and all Covid practices were adhered to. The only negative comment from me would be the restriction on the menu. Not as varied as before
Menu very limited and poor choices on offer no specials available at 18:30hrs at night didn’t enjoy the table we sat at very pokey had the steak and ale pie which was very nice!
Visited during Covid restrictions. We felt very safe and was seated at table for two well away from other tables. Food was very good, we had the fish and was very reasonable. The service was very quick and staff very friendly. Will definitely return
Good value food and excellent service. Covid precautions very very simple and efficient.
Lovely food, friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere.
Was very warm inside the restrant and drinks where overpriced.
The Saint has gone downhill big time. Toilets were dirty, there were no IPA's, a very limited choice of bottled beer and the espresso martini used to have a toasted marshmallow on top but not anymore. I wont be back sadly.
Burger for myself, Mac n cheese for my wife. Neither of us would return. Burger was dry with little flavour. Mac had a burnt herb crust on top and it was burnt.
It was a little pricy for the quality of food received.
Good set up for Covid with Perspex barriers between tables and it’s a nice looking bar / restaurant. Just a pity the food didn’t match up to the look and price.
Lunch on Saturday. I asked what was the dish of the day (as per lunch menu). Waitress said it wasn't ready yet. It was 1 p.m.! As I wasn't in a hurry I asked what it was as I would have been willing to wait. Waitress said chef hadn't told them!
I guess there was no dish of the day. I ordered venison & cranberry burger. The burger was very dry and there was no taste of cranberry. Very limited choice of wine - 4 white - which I can't understand given The Saint is a bar/restaurant. Won't be back.
Friendly staff and very helpful when we didn’t like the table they were giving us. Good food, cooked well. What’s not to love?
Covid safety measures were of a high standard and fully observed by staff. Sat outside where ambience was good. Both of us had fish and chips which were excellent --indeed significantly better than either of the so-called top fish and chip shops in the town. For value, good service and food (I can only comment on the fish & chips) this takes some beating.
Family met at The Saint for lunch and everyone in attendance was happy with the food presented to us. The staff were very respectful of COVID guidelines and the layout of the restaurant lent itself well (lots of little nooks and crannies!) to keeping people separate. In addition, screens had been erected between the tables, all in all which left us feeling very safe. We will look forward to visiting again.
We had a lovely meal here on Monday using their continued discount scheme. The mac and cheese was great, there was great ambiance, and our waitress was really friendly.
Characterful venue. Cosy. Great decor. Great service. Not gourmet food but good pub grub. Tiny point but if you love icecream you may be disappointed: it was grainy and lacked flavour. Go for one of the other fab pudds.
Overall great experience. Food was quick and delicious, and the service was outstanding. I believe we got served by James, very attentive great customer care, would highly recommend.
Lovely food and friendly staff, made clear on entry what the social distancing etiquette was.
Great meal, felt comfortable eating here, would come back
We were in for drinks only and sitting in the beer garden. It was a chilly day and if you had some heaters it would have been perfect. Enjoyable visit none the less and great service from your excellent staff.
First time eating out for a while .
All measures that can be taken are implemented here .
Staff were friendly and service was good
This was my third visit and was as good as on previous visits. Excellent separation of tables.
Went for drinks in beer garden. Easy to book online. Staff were excellent - lovely outdoor space! Felt very safe.
Lovely atmosphere but found price to be a little steep for the standard of food serverd.
Due to recent pandemic obviously not as busy as it could be but a good menu, felt very safe and will happily return
Second visit recently to The Saint. Impressed with safety measures taken in these uncertain times. On both occasions a lovely meal and great service. Can't wait for our next visit.
The food was tasteless and I couldn’t believe how greasy the kids meal was, don’t waste your money. Shame as the venue and staff are lovely. I’ve been twice now and the food really lets it down.
Food was amazing! So tasty! Cocktails were nice too. Covid guidelines being adhered to and I felt safe whilst eating. Only thing was service slowed after our mains so we had to track someone down to order desserts and then again for the bill. However we were 3 friends having a long overdue catch up so wasn't that big of a deal ❤️
We booked for Monday evening based on a friend’s recommendation. We were seated by a girl (didn’t catch her name) however it was her first shift. She was incredibly polite and helpful, couldn’t praise her enough! I would never have known it was her first day! Please make sure she is given the praise. Every dish was delicious and would thoroughly recommend. The butternut and rosemary soup was fantastic!! Great restaurant, will definitely come back and recommend to others!
Under extreme pressure and circumstances the industry is under the staff at the Saint made us feel safe and confident to dine. Very attentive staff all well organised and versed. Great meal and will be back next time we are in St Andrews
Lovely to sit outside for lunch in garden Corvid safe
Temperature checks on the door, friendly staff, great food and lovely outside area.
The Saint has good Covid measures in place, which was welcome. The speed of service tends to be on the slow side but the staff are pleasant. The lunch menu is more limited than before but that may be because of Covid. At 12.15, you would not expect to be told that the fish and chips had run out. There is a fish shop in St Andrews. The steak pie could have been more tasty and the broccoli was raw rather than al dente but the Thai fish cakes with a side salad (my own choice) was nice. Three flat whites took a long time to arrive, for which the waitress apologised but they were somewhat tepid when they did come. I wouldn't NOT recommend it but I would tell others not to go there if time was an issue.
Excellent , friendly service...... greeted on arrival ....
Thank you for your lovely review! Hope to see you again soon!
Unfortunately my fish did not have a crispy batter . I ate part of each end . The waitress said she would deduct but never offered to perhaps make something else for me . She said the kitchen said they were having problems with the dryer temperature!! It was pretty cold sitting outside too so if this is something you are going to continue I suggest you would need to consider heaters .

Great food and service . Lovely beer garden setting
We booked online for 4 people & 2 dogs.
Very accommodating and friendly.
Excellent service and we were well looked after. Highly recommend The Saint.
Staff cheerful & friendly. Food nothing to write home about
