Fine. All COVID protocols in place. Excellent service.
(Usual loud American students broadcasting their life story across the restaurant, but this is nothing new in St Andrews).
Food and drinks excellence. Service was ok, had to call on the waiter a couple of times as he kept passing us without taking orders or clearing plates but would definitely visit again as the food was really good.
Amazing food, staff and cleanliness. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will def visit again soon, thank you
Service was terrible waited 45 minutes to get a drink as table service only. Advertised opening times are also incorrect closes at 21:00.
Had a great meal here - all the food was delicious and great value. Atmosphere is cosy and relaxing. Loved it!
Food was OK but overpriced. Front of house wasn’t overly friendly and gave us a rubbish table despite booking a week in advance. Wait staff were lovely
We had an excellent meal - the only reason for marking it down was because of the Covid restrictions we had to sit outside and it was rather chilly! More outside heaters needed methinks! Meal beautiful.
Very nice atmosphere, however it was a bit stressful getting last orders at 8 pm and the waiters rushing around and giving us the bill without us asking
I think if you were having food it would have been fine but just for a drink you are sa t furthest away from the building and the staff tend to forget you are there.
Really lovely, tasty food. Well presented and good sized portions. Serving staff were polite and attentive. Will definitely return.
Unfriendly manageress although waiting staff very friendly and helpful. Food ok but overpriced. Good COVID regulations.
Perfect Covid measured which did not spoil the atmosphere
The lady that greeted us on entering looked very unfriendly and didn’t crack a smile the whole way to our table. We had booked for lunch and she took us to armchair type seats with low coffee tables - not at all suitable for eating lunch - clueless. We had to ask to be moved which seemed to cause a bit of bother whilst the “iPad was checked”. The serving staff were very friendly but they were obviously short staffed and things took a while and we had to ask a few times for condiments. The food was average.
Current restrictions meant that we ate in the marquee, more heaters would have been good but all in all a pleasant experience. Staff excellent, food good and no rush to move on.
Beer Garden covered with marquee which kept wind out. Ideal to comply with COVID guidelines. Food & service very good.
Food was of a good standard and the bar coped well enough with Covid 19.
Really enjoyed our meal in a dog friendly venue. Glad we can support restaurants in these challenging times - missed having a bottle of wine! Friendly staff working very hard to continue to provide good customer service
Terrible, slow service. Wrong order brought to the table. Food cold. Overcharged. Very expensive. Will not be back. Even the tables were on different levels.
On visiting on Tuesday 13 October for a late lunch (3.00) a dog barked continually throughout lunch, very, very off putting. What did not help was that staff continued to pat this dog every time they walked past it. I am hoping that they washed their hands afterwards, but unfortunately I doubt it.
I would not really recommend The Saint if dogs are going to continually bark through lunch
Food ok,portion size was small especially kids meals
Wouldnt rush back
Every time I have been to the saint I’ve always had random things added to the bill e.g £20 bottle wine and extra gin and lemonade. This is quite disappointing as it has now happened 2/3 times that I’ve been to this pub. Although the service is great and the drinks tasty, I feel as if you are taking advantage especially of us students.
Lovely food, good service and all safety procedures in place
A very enjoyable experience, thank you. We felt very safe. 😊
We had breakfast at The Saint which I would highly recommend. 3 different dishes and all were tasty which we thoroughly enjoyed along with the coffee and juices Lovely friendly staff.
Nice setting and atmosphere, good bar but average food and service.
No complainants, went for breakfast, good food, good atmosphere and even better the dog was welcome!
Booked to go back for dinner next week
Good experience, staff a bit slow and drinks very slow but a nice atmosphere and good food
Fantastic venue to chill and have drinks. Will be returning.
Very nice venue. The food was decent, if nothing special. Would go back.
Met with relatives here during a visit to Saint Andrews. Everything was tip top and made it an enjoyable experience. We will most certainly return the next time we are back in Saint Andrews. There was plenty of choice on the menu and a very good choice of interesting vegetarian dishes.
Very slow service- but chicken was burnt?? Advertising 20% off food when u sign up on line - but - “sorry not doing that anymore” - still on line!! If you have 2 hours for an overpriced burnt club sandwich this is for you.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. I went for dinner and drinks and the food was great. The drinks were great too. The service was good the server was friendly, could’ve checked on us one or two more times. Overall good experience
Kept outside waiting for 50 minutes. Even though we had a booking. Manager didn’t take responsibility for the mistake. Appalled at the service and management
Only good part about our meal was our server Sarah, who was absolutely amazing !
The drinks were very good and reasonably priced but the monkfish dish was extremely disappointing. The fish had no flavor and the couscous was so over-seasoned that it was inedible. I barely touched it and despite telling the waiter that it was extremely disappointing, received no discount/feedback. Additionally, we were seating next to a vent that was making extremely loud banging noises for the duration of our meal. When asking out waiter what the noise was, she said that it 'happens a lot' and that there was nothing she could do.
Went with a friend for lunch at The Saint and had a really nice experience. The food is proper old fashion pub food - so loved my Steak & Ale pie and my friend also really liked her Fish & Chips - also the portions are big. The staff was also helpful and friendly and the restaurant is following all the COVID measures plus checking your temperature when you arrive - so felt very safe. The only minor complaint is that their Web-site is advertising that you would get 20% off your first meal when signing up to their newsletter - however the staff said that they wouldn't give any discount currently - so in that case they should take it off their web-site, which is really misleading.
Very friendly service, excellent food & felt very safe with all their Restrictions in place
Top notch food, friendly service and brilliant for families.
Excellent Staff and Great value
Great venue .The bar needs to advertise that it has a large beer garden to the rear
We really enjoyed our visit to The Saint, the food was excellent, great value and staff very good.
Very COVID safe environment.
We have already recommended The Saint to family and friends.
