Lovely food, nice cocktails, a little loud and was really busy but then I thats a good sign.
Service was excellent, the food was what you would expect from a pub.
We celebrated a birthday here recently and had a great time. The food was excellent and the service was great. We found it child friendly and overall had a great time
Enjoyed a lovely meal at The Saint. The service was excellent, especially bar man and waiter Michael (I think was his name). Pleasant, polite and efficient. Food was nicely prepared and very tasty. Excellent.
We have dined here on many occasions and always enjoyed the food. The staff are attentive and helpful. Love the refit, well done.
The food was lovely, really enjoyed our evening out. Service was a little slow as we where sat at the back, and the bar was really busy. I will definitely be returning to the saint as lovely atmosphere and food was delicious.
Great meal and good service , will certainly return
Food and service was very good, nice atmosphere. Dogs allowed in bar area
Menu would benefit from healthy options and smaller portions if wanted. Also some specials would make the fixed menu more interesting. Overall, good for what it is. No pretentious.
Service was slow and we waited some time until a staff member showed us to our seats. Food was okay, not worth the wait.
Food was good and freshly made. Service quick with a very friendly waitress. Music a bit loud when the restaurant empty. Would put me off coming back.
The food was lovely but service poor - far too slow.
The table service was pretty good however from placing our starter till delivery was 40mins. While the restaurant was busy it didn't help that the waitress explained that another table had inadvertently been served before us. Out of her control but a complimentary drink could have been offered for customer relations.
A wholesome and good value evening meal in this sympathetic re-design. Good food and excellent service.
Lovely atmosphere. Lovely decor. Delicious food. Will definitely be back.
great food and atmosphere. Staff friendly. would definitely visit again
Although I'd booked a table weeks previous, and confirmed it that day, we still had to wait for a table to be set for us. A small delay only, but not ideal with my elderly mother left standing on a busy thoroughfare. Once seated we were promptly approached with menus and had our drinks order taken. Good choice of drinks and cocktails and a nice wine selection. The food was freshly cooked to order, with obviously in season produce. Really delicious, and a great selection for everyone, aged from 15 - 79. The food was maybe a little slow coming out, but as it was so good, as was the company, no problem. The waiting staff were friendly and vigilant . Well worth a visit, this wasn't our first visit, and it won't be our last.
Nice setting and environment. Service good but waitress needed to talk slower. And we waited over 30 mins for our food so had to eat quickly as to get back to work.
First visit - very good service, waitresses attentive, although it was relatively quiet.
Food - very good, good choice, served promptly and all served together.
Drinks - very good too: good choice, reasonable price.
Appreciated the 20% discount voucher/ email as new to address list!
Met up with friends for a meal on Sunday evening.
I ordered fish pie, I had to look long and ard to find any fish although the sauce was very nice. The vegetables that accompanied it very virtually raw.
My friend had haggis which she said was ok but expensive for the small portion that was served.
No one came to check if our meal was ok so wasn’t able to discuss our issues.
Wouldn’t recommend coming here for food, maybe a drink as nice decor
Food was outstanding along with the service will be back again
High quality food with great vegetarian choices .I loved the decor
Some menu options are better than others. From our group of 8 the duck, the scamp & the haggis were good. The gnocchi, the pork chop and the pork burger were not good.
Good but drinks took a long time to be served at table.
We chose the venue without having been before. What a great choice. The food and wine were excellent and good value. Staff attentive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Warm friendly staff, good food and choice, good location
Duck was overcooked and dry. Friends had the fish and said it was lovely.
Restaurant was very noisy.
Excellent service, food amazing. Really enjoyed ourselves. Special thanks to Nicole and Sophie great girls. Really made us feel welcome. Thanks again.
Nice food, pleasant staff and nice surroundings, but even on a relatively quiet day,we felt abandoned by staff, although a significant number of people were eating in the same area of the beer garden as ourselves. Had to go back inside eventually...twice ...to order next course, then get the bill. Staff nice but not attentive enough/ not enough of them.
We were in St Andrew's for a family wedding on the saturday and wanted to go out for a nice meal with our parents on the sunday. I looked on trip advisor as we are originally from Fife but have lived in the Lake District for 30 years so not a clue where was good. I went on the recommendations on The Saint and also that nearly everything was locally sourced. I must say the place was lovely the eating areas were unusyal and comfy. The food was scrumptious and a good variety for all tastes. The staff were very attentive even changed our table when my dad who is not well struggled to get in. All in all i would highly recommend The Saint. Will definitely be going if we visit St Andrew's again and will be tellibg all my relatives in Fufe to give it a try.
The drinks took to long, the food was average and the service was slow. The style of the place was great though.
Limited menu but high quality at good prices. Prompt service and good attention. Nice surroundings
