Good solid food, can't go wrong. Shack burgers are a treat in themselves.
Menu choice frustratingly good, hard to choose because everything sounds amazing. The food was excellent!
Staff were excellent, very polite and attentive. Main course was lovely but the sweet could have been better, the waffle was quite hard.
Very disappointed with the carvery.. Frozen Yorkshire puddings roast potatoes and Veg. Don't expect this poor quality from a pub who is known for carvery.
Husband and daughter food was very good though.
Excellence in itself and well worth recommended again.
We arrived on time to be greeted by a lovely lady at the entrance, she took us straight to our table where another young lady came over and took our drinks order and gave us our ticket for the carvery. The gentleman carving the meat and the lady serving the vegetables where very polite and listened to what we asked for. The food was lovely, good portion size and exceptionally tasty. We was impressed by how organized they where during these horrid times. This was my first time out in 7 months and I have to say that Sally's has given me the confidence to want to eat out again will certainly be going back . 👍
The food was absolutely disgusting i actually cancelled the toby carvery for to come hear instead and im kicking myself for doing it i paid £50 for 3 carverys and a puddin and i swear i would have got more for my money by wipein my butt.
Sally Pusseys is always good value, especially the Sunday carvery. Service is always quick. We go a lot and would recommend to all. Since COVID they have really diversified and made it appealing to all.
Food was amazing, especially for a carvery. Unfortunately service from staff was awful, and tainted my visit.
Hubby food was nice got chips when asked for jacket potatoe , My Food was ok but my dish was bit bland had to ask for gravy and was questioned if there was a problem I said no I just like some gravy Staff were new but found they were polite and ok felt there manger was a little bit micro managing them as she came back re questioned what we ordered which was fine but it would been nicer if the person was there to help them with there training rather than as it seem undermining them
Prawn cocktail was very nice but we both had upset tummy next day which was odd
Dessert was wonderful
I was expecting it to be a bit more outstanding as heard good reviews but it wasn’t anything special for us and vegetarian meals and lighting was very bright so not very romantic on date night
Great food, fantastic atmosphere, would definitely recommend
Secice was excellent food was a little disappointing. Won't go again.
Always good quality food served here, always value for money.
This was my second visit and it wasn't very good. The Carvery was cold, the waitress left us for ages, others got served before us and paid and left, we just had to wait. Normally the food is faultless just a shame about the customer service.
Good quality at excellent value in a covid safe environment
lockdown has in my view made Sallys a better place to dine as there is now more space when sitting at your table, prior to this the only downside was that there were too many people in there at peak times, now is much better. Food as usual was very good especialy the carvery.
Food was lovely (carvery) but could of been hotter, it was because they had problems with electrics though. Friendly staff and the dinner was a good price.
Great food, happy friendly service
We were told that we had 1 1/2hrs at the table however the did not take our order for over 40 mins Food was very dry.
Still delivering great food and service, in the current new normal (covid)
Love the food here.
Felt very safe and service was quick and food delicious 😋
Well organised for Covid -19 now. Staff very attentive.
plenty of food and well cooked.
Great service. Felt very safe in these difficult times.
The service is great the staff are friendly and the food is Amazing
well worth the money
Always great service, friendly staff and great food.
Whole experience was great. Staff were very helpful and social distancing was observed at all times. Food was hot and served on hot plates and was very tasty
Lovely restaurant with great food. Slightly more expensive than other restaurants, but the fresh quality is well worth it. Staff were very helpful and good Covid measures in place.
Good prompt friendly Service. As always very nice food, nice atmosphere.
The roast dinner was outstanding. Perfect cooked beef.
We go to Sally Pusseys reasonably frequently. The food is always excellent. The carvery is also very good and great for someone with a huge appetite. Initial service can sometimes be a little slow in taking a drinks order and food order.
Always clean and safe for those who are nervous about eating out
The lady that showed us to our table was quite rude, the young man that waited on us was very helpful, polite and attentive.
The lamb and vegetables were delicious, the mash potatoes and chips were not good.
We did not have a dessert, but would not have had time to in the 90 minute slot we were given anyway.
The whole experience was ruined for us by staff wearing sunflower lanyards to avoid wearing face coverings. I asked a staff member why they were wearing them to be told they had asthma.
The sunflower lanyard was developed for people with hidden disabilities that need extra support, guidance, patience when out in their community.
By using the sunflower for mask exemption, you're stealing support from the vulnerable and disabled and no business should be allowing that to happen.
Please buy plain lanyards and download an exemption from the government website or the British lung foundation website.
Please also train your staff to recognise the true meaning of the sunflower lanyard, or contact me, I'm more than happy to come in and explain.
I would not recommend until this is resolved.
Lovely fresh food and at a great price. Well equipped for all the new restrictions.. felt very safe.
Went for the Sunday carvery and it was absolutely delicious! I had all three meats (beef, gammon, turkey) and all were cooked very nicely. All the trimming were fantastic, especially the roast potatoes which can be hit and miss at a carvery. These were crispy and fluffy...yum! My friend had the nut roast and said it’s the best she’s ever had. Service was fantastic, staff were great at notifying us when our friend’s main was almost ready so the rest of us could go and get our carvery. Well set up for Covid too with an efficient one way system.
Sally Pusey’s have nailed social distance, so clean the carvery was so much better and easier as they do it for you! We will definitely be returning
We visit Sally Pusseys quite often and came Sunday for a carvery. The carvery is lovely and even with being served you get very generous portions! Very good value. When I booked I didn’t recall it asking where you wanted to sit and when we arrived we were put in the marquee. It’s done out very nice and wasn’t too cold but it would have been nice to have had pre warning. I saw a family with elderly family members and overheard them say I’m sure I didn’t book the marquee. Something to look out for. Having said that we enjoyed the carvery and service was quick and friendly as usual.
Great service, fantastic food and lovely and warm in the new Gazebo seating area! Also felt safe with the new measures that are in place
I'm not usually one to write a bad review but I had Chicken Bulti/Curry on Saturday and it was like something was missing. Almost as though the chef had forgotten to add some of the ingredients.
We went for a treat for my son and it was very nice. Not a lot of people and portion size were very good
Lovely food and a good service overall! Would go again!
Great service and food. COVID safe. A really relaxing experience. One of my favourite pubs.
