Really nice relaxed evening in a great setting, with great food and great service.
Great location, the food was the best we had in Brighton, couldn't fault it. Disappointed that some clients were allowed in wearing Vest t shirts and flip flops, ruined the experience a little.
We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch outdoors and staff were very hospitable to move us when we requested as it was scorching hot where we were sitting at first. The food was excellent and although it is on the expensive side, it was worth it!
Fantastic restaurant. Quality of the food was excellent, flavoursome, well cooked. Good choice on menu. Definitely recommend.
The food was gorgeous ! The staff went above and beyond to make our night special as it was suppose to be our wedding day. 10/10 - an outstanding restaurant.
Absolutely outstanding food and restaurant!
Also huge acknowledgment to Holly who looked after us and is a credit to the Restaurant. She was so lovely and attentive and made such a difference to the experience, often staff do not get the recognition they deserve and service can make or break a restaurant so had to give her a shout out!! Amazing
Many thanks for your lovely comments, I will make sure Holly gets to see your feedback Hope to see you again soon!
Delicious food, good wine selection and lovely cocktails.
As always a very high standard,a unique experience
Exceptional! We are new regulars, highly recommend
Just lovely. Delicious mackerel starter. Amazing sea bass main with samphire etc. Decent value for such great food.
Loved it! Didn’t disappoint!! Server was fabulous x
The Salt Room was for a number of years our favourite restaurant in Brighton but, with a new chef last year, the menu changed detrimentally and has stayed the same since then.
On this occasion, our first time there since they reopened after lockdown, we were shocked by how close the staff came to us, nobody wearing masks or visors, you would hardly know that restrictions were in place. The food was OK, average, and my main course of hake lacked texture, soft and sloppy. I doubt that we will be back for some time.
The a la carte menu has plenty of choice, the food was really excellent and well prepared. Good selection of wines by the glass. Service was adequate but I wish the staff were just a little tidier in appearance. Unfortunately our visit was spoiled by over loud, inappropriate music. The restaurant itself lacked atmosphere, it was too noisy and we weren't happy with the social distancing space.
We enjoyed our meal at the Salt Room recently and as usual, have a delicious meal.
Great food, high quality. Lovely wine selection.
Food was poor standard. Emailed the restaurant with feedback - no reply.
Service was slow and didn't care about the complaint RE the food. Bad value for money...many other restaurants with better more affordable food. Bland and chewy.
Food was amazing, gutted I don’t live closer as I’d love to visit more often!
Ambience and service was lovely here with views out to the beach and water.
Starter of small fish tempura was lovely and crisp with a superb seaweed tartare sauce. Sourdough bread was ok but the miso butter was divine.
Both friends had the steak which was done really well. I had the lemon sole which was fresh and the spiced sauce was just right. The crispy potatoes were just amazing and could have had lots more!
You can’t get a much better venue on a sunny Monday evening than this.
Food was beautifully cooked, service was attentive without being OTT.
If you enjoy fish and seafood cooked with a modern twist you shouldn’t be disappointed.
We will return next time we’re in Brighton
Being a sunny and warm evening we choose the terrace. The food - as always superb! steak tartare with the sharing seafood platter followed by the cheese board (the local blue cheese which, according to a french waiter, was better than the french blue cheeses - praise indeed) with a couple of glasses of sauterne a great combination. Not cheap but highly recommended!
Very good food and service. Shortages in the menu due to non delivery of shellfish and some wines, but, overall excellent
