Alongside the main dining room, guests also have the option to book the Kitchen Table, or the upstairs Private Dining Room which has views across the front of the Savoy.

An amazing experience, food was delicious and service as expected in a hotel of this rating. Was expensive but well worth it as a special occasion.

The savoy grill is a five star experience with the exception of a problem we had with one of my guests steaks. Ordered as medium rare, it came up incinerated. It was sent back and a full 15 minutes later another came - again incinerated.

The manager came and apologised and offered us complimentary Brandies.

My guest’s meal experience was ruined - he had no main course in the end.

A pity as the place looks a million dollars.

Obviously expensive as expected. We had the Taster Menu. But the art deco surroundings were worth it. The only downside was that we were rather cramped in a semi-circular seat with half the table being unused. They don't seem to like catering for parties of three.

A dark and formal place for lunch with a very good value seasonal menu. All the main courses were good if a little small - bream well cooked, pig's cheek unctuous. We filled up on sticky toffee pudding which we felt didn't have enough sticky in it. More caramel sauce please.

We were running a bit late due to traffic, called up and it wasn't a problem to push back out booking by 15minutes. When we arrived though, we had to wait another 15minutes for our table.

We had the Sunday Roast sirloin, which was cooked perfectly and the accompanying vegetables were brilliant too. Only complaint would be that the roast potatoes were incredibly salty, inside and out! To the point that they weren't nice to eat at all, it was basically like having a mouthful of salt each time.

Overall, a very lovely meal. Value for money it is not though at £140 for two roasts, two desserts, one side, two soft drinks and a bottle of still water, but I guess you're paying for the name. You're definitely paying for the service what with both a cover charge and a service charge on top of 12.5%!

The cheese at the Savoy was awful The waiters didn’t know what the cheeses were and the @type of cheddar” was a cheap processed cheese and I would not have served any of them to guests at home

Otherwise everything was perfect

A superb evening. The food was amazing, the service fantastic and the ambience was great. Although not the restaurant's fault it would have been nice to be able to have a relaxing sit down with a drink in the hotel before dinner instead of resorting to effectively standing in a corridor with a £20 g and t. Not the fault of the restaurant itself though and looking forward to returning to eat again soon.

Such a lovely place to dine. A bit dated but I guess that adds to the charm of it. Without a doubt, you’re paying for location, but the food was very good and the waiters very attentive. Wonderful for a special occasion.

I booked this for an anniversary dinner and we were very much looking forward to it. However, the staff were a little overzealous about my intolerance to artificial sweetener and therefore more than half the menu I was told I couldn't have, because it contained sugar. They did not seem to understand sugar and artificial sweetener are NOT the same thing. I was not brought the brioche with my crab salad for this fact; because brioche contains sugar. I was still charged full price. Also charged full price for the Lamb Cutlets where they'd brought the sauce over then told me I couldn't have it because it contained sweetener. (Again, sugar is not the same as artificial sweetener like aspartame, steevia, etc). When we left, the waiter made an insensitive joke about my intolerance and looked me up and down to see if I'd come up in hives. The dinner cost £209 and my dignity. Really upsetting. As it was my wedding anniversary I didn't want to make a complaint and ruin the evening further, so we just went home.

The menus were brought over and the waiter explained the menu to my husband then walked around the table and just placed my menu in front of me. My husband was asked if he would like another glass of wine when his glass was empty but I was not. When my husband asked for a Vodka and Tonic, the waiter asked if that was in place of the red wine! My husband replied, 'no the vodka is for my wife'. It was really as if I wasn't there.

This does not usually both me, but once I noticed the treatment at the beginning when the menu was not explained to me, then I just started noticing that every question was directed at my husband and I felt inconsequential.

Great Food, great service. A pity the masterdish beef weelington has to be taken for two so we could not try anything else. Restaurant partially is a bit too old. For a special date night out perfect.

Appears to be an old stand by resting on former reputation. Service is adequate but not engaged, execution was disinterested at best (had to return both entries for being under/over cooked and the restaurant agreed) quality of the food was poor and prices were as advertised. Not opposed to paying for a top flight meal but not happy when the quality and entire experience is dated and tired. Save yo ur money and eat elsewhere.

It was Valentines night so it was never going to be a cheap evening! The service and food was excellent, food choice was on a set Valentines menus or off the a-la-carte menu. The valentines menus was predominantly fish, so not good if you preferred meat! Good selection of wines at various prices.

The only niggle was that it would have been nice to have a little more space between the tables. Felt like you were rubbing elbows with your neighbour.

Great service

The food is OK but without any surprises. The Valentine's meal is absolutely not worth 95GBP. The main course halibut was too dry.

In all fairness, very disappointed

I went to Savoy Gill alone, and hoped to have their signature dish, Beef Wellington which is server for 2.
Thanks for the chef that I made my dream come true. The servant didn’t say no to me, and asked the chef to see the possibility to server Beef Wellington for one person.

I had baked snails as starter, Beef Wellington as main course and green apple sorbets as dessert.

I got a great evening with awesome food in Savoy Gill.
