A large pot of steamed fresh mussels in a lemon, curry & coconut cream
Crispy calamari with chilli flakes & garlic aioli. Large with a side salad
Scotch Bonnet Relish
Consistently great food kids love it!
Unfortunate experience when visited this restaurant. Ordered shellfish pot and it arrived to our table with a lovely big hair wedged between the two pots, so it was hard to get excited about my meal after that. Had a couple of unopened mussels, and a few of the shells were smashed in the pot so not the best when you get one in your mouth.
Lovely place, food is great, very good service too
Great food served with a smile!
Food was avg. mussels were lovely but prawns tough & chewy. Drinks were good. Good selection of cocktails. Nice friendly staff but thought it was pricey.
Great staff, great food. Family friendly.
Great service and good food. Excellent for families
Service was excellent!
Every time we go to the scotch Bonnet it very good staff very friendly and we enjoy going there Tony Gains
Good as always, the only thing is that we always go for their sea food plater, but this time was really bad, a lot of food missing as we have photos from other times, before was enough for 2 people to be full, this time we ended up ordering something else. We order the same all the time because we know how should be, but when you get something different is a bit disappointing. Bread was empty without any fish, and shrimps and mussels raw, impossible to eat
Average good. Very cold in the restaurant and loud with thumping music even though we had a 3 year old and an 82 year old. The staff did not care much about the comfort of the guests . Disappointing over all and I would not return. They also forgot drinks and one meal and had to be reminded. They should use some cop on and try to take care of paying customers.
A really lovely meal. Service was excellent and the food was superb. Will definitely be back. Well worth a visit.
Myself and a friend booked the Scotch Bonnet before going to see Snow Patrol
It was a wonderful experience from start to end....staff, food, atmosphere we actually could not fault a thing
The staff went over and above to facilitate us and we ended up going back after the concert
We will definitely be back
We were traveling throughout Ireland and Malahide was our last stop. We did not know the area or what to expect. The decor of this restaurant was casual and fun and not like many of the pubs we had dined in. Most importantly, the food and service were outstanding! Our server made two recommendations and we tried each of them... the ribs and prawns. After several fish and chip meals, these dishes were welcomed and did not disappoint. We started with calamari which was delicious. I had the prawns. The prawns were presented in a HOT small skillet and cooked in a chili based sauce with just the right amount of “Kick.” My husband had the ribs. The meat was so tender it fell off the bones. Great service.. friendly and attentive, but not pushy. If ever in area again, we would definitely go back.
Very friendly staff . Food is always lovely. You just can’t beat the ribs . Cocktails where also lovely
Great food great service great value what more could you want 😂
Seated quickly by Friendly staff, the food was amazing will definitely be returning a great date night spot! Next time i’ll Be trying out the cocktails as they sounded divine, overall great experience you won’t regrets going here can’t wait to go back!
We had a very good experience except my girlfriend ordered potato skins and what she got was 4 large potato wedges covered in a sauce for €10! I really couldn’t get my head around what classes these as “potato skins”
Service was excellent - food came out much too fast after ordering, chicken burger and chicken wings cooked from scratch should take more than 3-4 mins!!
Great food, friendliest staff, will definitely be back!
Came for sunday night dinner, I got ribs fries and corn on the cob, my partner got a chicken burger and fries and wings to share between us, wings werent bad but warm at best, fries were slightly undercooked and ribs were close to cold, although the flavours where amazing i like my food hot! deserts where fine, doubt i will return
Nice family dinner looked after by friendly efficient staff. Great chicken wings and ribs. Also interesting 'deconstructed' carrot cake worth trying. Good vibe and easy casual atmosphere with quirky touches such as rolling pin dessert menu. Recommend for casual family get togethers. It was our son's birthday and this is the kind of food and place he likes so he was very happy with the evening and so were his parents. Can't ask for more!
Convenient location, the staff were very welcoming and cheerful, seated us early and the prices were moderate but the food was average. The fish on my Fish & Chips was very good but the fries were way undercooked. The dish my wife had was very tasty; fortunately my wife loves mussels but it was advertised as mussels and shrimp with very few of the latter.
Wonderful spot, good selection on the menu. Baked hake was really good choice and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Also lovely that staff sang happy birthday with dessert for the birthday boy. Staff also were so friendly and nice, would definitely go back and also recommend it to friends and colleagues.
Can’t fault the food it was really tasty, proper comfort food! The place is cosy and relaxed. Only fault was slow service and not paying attention to tables.
Really nice food - good table - amazing service! Our new favourite in Malahide!
Always great service. Great atmosphere and fab food
I always go to scotch bonnet, the wings are my favrouite and I do love them. I just wish they were a bit cheaper for the size portion.
Great service, great food, fantastic night staff very attentive.
Staff were so friendly and quick to serve. Food was great. Music was good. Cocktail menu was fan
multiple menu options unavailable (including drinks)
so cold in there had to ask waitress to turn on heater
originally requested both when booking, also confirmed this over the phone - no booth available upon arrival
food took ages to come to the table 40 mins + ..arrived warm not hot
staff nice in fairness but worn out..
usually visit this establishment more than 2-3 times a month
not sure will return
We went to Scotch Bonnet recently for a late lunch. We were made so welcome from the minute we got there and the place was really buzzing. They play such good music and the atmosphere was great. We were all delighted with our food and had Espresso Martinis for dessert that were to die for. The staff are just so friendly, we've been here a few times and they are always the same, so lovely and nothing is ever too much. We will definitely be back. :-)
We were greeted by a lovely friendly waitress who showed us to our window table immediately. My husband had their craft beer which he really enjoyed and I asked the waitress to recommend a glass of red. The one she gave me was malbec and it was perfect. We had the flatbreads and meat for starter and it was delicious. We had the seafood platter for our main course and we were so impressed. We shouldn't have had a starter as there was so much to sample on the platter. Everything was cooked perfectly. There was mussels, scampi, prawns pil pil, fish cake, battered white fish, homemade bread - just to name a few. I will be certainly be back to have it again. We had the chef's special dessert- Kinder Bueno cheesecake to share. It was exceptional.
We had a lovely evening at scotch bonnet restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was brilliant. We will definitely be going here again and we have recommended scotch bonnet to many others also!
Fantastic food, service and cocktails as usual. Love scotch bonnet. Consistently great
We enjoyed a relaxed evening with tasty food, lovely atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff.Big hits were the ribs and the calamari. Couldn't fault the service.
We will be back.
Family meal out, service was a bit slow but food was perfect as always.. need more vegetarian options as main meals though.
We had a lovely meal on Friday night. The staff were excellent and friendly. However we decided not to stay for dessert as we were sitting by the window and we were frozen because of a draught coming in the window.
Super service.. very freindly staff who couldnt do enough... food was super..t portions very generous. gorgeous cocktails.. could have stayed all day.will return.x
Was a lovely spot to have lunch. The portions are huge and service is lovely and warm. It was slightly more expensive than I thought it should be. All in all very good spot.
