Really good Sunday Lunch with the family. We bought a voucher from itison for leisure and 3 course lunch. Couldn't fault the service, very attentive staff and lovely ambience and food. Would definitely go back.

Had a lovely stay in the hotel, booking dinner here to make things simple. Haggis Bon Bon’s were dry and lacked flavour - weirdly paired with cheap mayonnaise and mustard seeds which I found strange. The pork belly was lovely and everything that accompanied it paired perfectly. Felt like the sides on offer weren’t complimentary to the dish. Ordered some fries on the side which again came with a side of mayonnaise. Felt this was completely unnecessary and a potential disaster for those with egg allergies who order the fries. Ordered water when we first sat down to the table and despite reminding our server on 3 occasions we hadn’t received it, it wasn’t brought to us until halfway through our mains. Lastly I ordered a bottle of wine and it was brought to the table pre-opened. Having worked 10 years in hospitality I find this to be lacking and I am distrustful of opened bottles being brought to the table. I feel this highlighted the inexperience of the young staff - who despite all this were perfectly polite and accommodating. Overall I would return to Scottish steakhouse however I would keep my expectations to a moderate level.

When My husbands starter scallops came I couldn't believe how small they were even the frozen scallops I bought once were bigger. My calamari was chewy. The steaks were ok but just ok There were children running in and out who were at a wedding in another room and no one once told them off. I was given a voucher and that was what we paid the meal with thank goodness I didn't have to pay cash for it Not once did anyone ask us was everything ok Overall it was a nasty experience

We went for Sunday lunch for my Dad's birthday. We weren't aware there was a specific menu for it (we didn't notice it online) but it was 2 courses for £15 ish and great value because the food was delicious. Most of our party had soup then roast beef, and the beef was amazing. It Looked like a steak (rather than the usual slices of beef we'd expected), but had the texture and flavour of roast beef. Yum. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming to my18 month niece. There was no stuffiness whatsoever. I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole meal and I have already recommended it to friends. The one criticism I have is that the waitress cleared everyone else's plates for their main courses while I was still eating. I find that rude and it made my feel awkward. Vegetarians might want to avoid Sunday lunch though because there was only one vegetarian option on the menu.

My wife and I recently had a three day long weekend stay at the Inchyra Hotel, Polmont, Falkirk. Over the years, we have stayed at numerous Macdonald Hotels and thoroughly enjoyed them, but not this time. Whilst the hotel staff are warm and friendly and the facilities are good, the restaurant service is below the standards we have previously experienced with the Macdonald chain. We had breakfast on three mornings and an evening meal on the last night of our stay. The restaurant lacks the ambience, class and standards maintained by other typical Macdonalds establishments. We noticed adult guests accompanied by children were allowed to enter the restaurant area whilst still wearing night attire for breakfast? The bar area is sited directly in the centre of the room giving a feeling of sitting in a public house or social club. The second day (Saturday) breakfast took 40 minutes to serve after the order was made, which eventually arrived on lukewarm plates. Whilst the food and service on Saturday evening was acceptable, the plates were again lukewarm. Cheese was served without biscuits. Owing to the bar taking up a central position in the restaurant, it detracted from what should be a pleasant dining experience. Sunday "hot" breakfast was an "help yourself" affair, with the food being served from temporary service trays being kept lukewarm over burners. The scrambled eggs were congealed and had the consistency of rubber. Once again the plates were cool. This is not typical of the high standards my wife and I have previously experienced with the Macdonalds chain.

Husband and I decided last minute to book dinner. We walked to the hotel as it is local for us. Service was super. Staff very attentive. We both had fish and chips and came to the conclusion that it was probably the best we have tasted. I ALWAYS have room for dessert but not tonight. Thoroughly stuffed, so much so, that the pace walking home was virtually a snail's pace. Can't wait to return.

Have eaten here before on D, B&B won in a competition. I do find food quite expensive. Plates were cold and although steaks cooked to perfection they were slightly cold when came out. We were that hungry we gift complain being charged £2.50pp for a tiny slab butter with garlic on top was a bit expensive.
