Outstanding service and food with spectacular views of Rockefeller ice rink.
Beautifully decorated dining room overlooking Rockefeller Center skating rink. Excellent service, very attentive and accommodating. Food was excellent. Yellowfin tuna appetizer was very flavorful, lobster and duck entrees were cooked to perfection. Key Lime pie was the perfect finishing touch.
Haven't been in NYC for several years. Perfect spot to enjoy the holiday decorations and festivities in Rockafeller Square.
Went for thanksgiving and knew the restaurant would be busy - however on arrival it was like walking into a total meltdown.
Customers were queuing up in every nook and cranny, the staff were far too busy and the overall vibe was stressed.
Eventually got taken to our seat and it became really apparent that we were being rushed. But only when it suited the restaurant. Took 20 mins to even get a menu after sitting down and requesting three times, took a further 20 for drinks and our starters arrived ahead of them.
Food itself was lovely and I would be open to going back again. However the cost $99 pp vs the overall experience wasn’t worth it for me.
My wife and I were in New York City for Thanksgiving and found their special Thanksgiving meal pricing. We had the most amazing dinner with the most amazing view in the Rockefeller center ice rink. The staff was very friendly and gracious. The food was outstanding. It’s a shame that we won’t be able to go back there again as they are closing soon.
Sea Grill is a draw because it overlooks the Rockefeller Center ice rink. The food, service and ambience are very good but not the best in NYC. It is worth doing at least once
Took my grandma after the Christmas show & she got teary eyed over what a nice experience it was. We lucked out & got a seat by the window. Great for holiday season. The chowder was to die for & the service was notch. Can’t wait to go back.
The quality of cuisine has been steadily declining, much to our disappointment. Our lunch was served lukewarm at best including the cappuccino at the end.
We ate at Sea Grill after seeing the Rockettes. Liked the food and enjoyed watching the ice skating while having dinner.
SUPER place.....sorry its closing will be missed
super atmosphere,great food, fantastic service
Celebrating
Excellent food in an amazing setting.
We were a party of 10. They set us up in an enclosed room to ourselves which was nice. We could hear each other speak and carry conversation . The food was delicious
The food, service, ambiance- all amazing. Such an iconic NYC dining destination. I’m very sad they’re closing.
Amazing atmosfere as usual. Love this place
It is so sad that this excellent restaurant is closing Jan. 1. Supposedly they lost their lease? It would be wonderful to save this place.
Food was OK, service was OK and place was OK. As you can tell, for us it was an average meal which was overpriced for the quality we were expecting.
Just a wonderful place. So sad that it is closing in January.
Service was correct but extremely -almost unacceptably- slow. Sit down at 8pm. Waiter finally asked for our drink at 8:15. Wine came at 8:20. Appetizers at 8:45. Main course at 9:30. Dessert at 10pm. Almost 10:30 by the time we paid and left.
Food was good but very overpriced (1 bottle of wine, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 desert, +tax&tip $300), especially because we did not feel the space, the food or the service, anything that made it feel like a special experience that deserved such expense.
The location is the best! The staff was very accommodating. I would go back
Love this place and it’s criminal that is closing to create a glorified food court.
Big mistake by speyer. They are wrong to make the rock center concourse their version of Eately
A fun and festive place
Arrived for dinner with the family before a show. Staff friendly and polite. Our server, Brad was friendly, informative and respectful of our time restraint. My 11 yr old and 7 yr old enjoyed the vegetable soup - they gave it a double thumbs up. Will be coming back again.
Delicious food and the view of the ice rink in Rockefeller center was nice. We tried the salmon, swordfish, and shishito peppers and just thinking about the food has my mouth watering it was all so good.
We celebrated our son’s 24th birthday and surprised him by choosing this Impeccable restaurant. Everything was just superb and the ice skating background added to the perfection.
The food was not good and did not come close to justifying the high prices.
The service was average at best.
The view of the Center was the only thing that saved the experience. (Other then the fact I was with good company)
Will not be going there again.
Went here on a date, they gave us a beautiful table next to the window overlooking the skaters and the rink. Food was 5 stars, service friendly but unobstrusive, good variety on the menu, a definite neighborhood gem. Top notch place that has been there for decades and always consistent on quality and experience. Will be very sad to see this place close.
Service was great and they were very attentive. Food was delicious as well!
Unbelievable experience. Highly recommend. Service exceptional and food delicious.
It is a shame that the landlord is forcing this marvelous restaurant to close at the end of the year.
Wonderful!
Very good. Completely satisfied.
Perennial fav restaurant. We went the night the rink opened. Food was just wonderfula nd services was better. So saddened to hear the 35 yr institution will close at year end. Better go now before you miss out.
Celebrating anniversary with 5-course dinner prix fixe special.
Will miss this place when it closes in January!
We were in a hurry and the entire staff ensured that we did not sacrifice quality or service due to our short time frame. Totally gracious experience. I can’t wait to return with more leisurely timing.
The seafood was fresh and okay, nothing very special. We had the three-course menu and the seafood platter. Attentive service. The restaurant was almost empty and much too cold to feel comfortable. I could not take my jacket off. Otherwise a nice & comfortable ambience with a view right to the Rockefeller plaza. All in all I really expected a bit more on the food level having basically such high ratings, and higher price level.
On Saturday evening we celebrated our Anniversary at the Sea Grill. The manager and our waiter made sure that we had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Over the years we’ve had many wonderful lunches and dinners at the Sea Grill. The restaurant holds a special place in our heart, 25 years ago we got married in the Rock Center Garden then had our wedding reception at the Sea Grill. It was a magical experience. We are so sad that the Sea Grill is closing at the end of the year. We will miss the restaurant and the lovely, very professional staff that we’ve gotten to know over the years.
Thanks for yet another wonderful dinner... food and service were excellent as always. Only thing wrong: it will not be there next year!
The setting is lovely, the service was attentive, and the food was outstanding. We had concert tickets and our server made sure we were served efficiently but not rushed.
