    Great Sunday lunch for three of us. Melt in the mouth pork but could have done with more veg. Small room, low ceiling so quite noisy but it adds to the atmosphere. Steph is a fantastic host!

    Fabulous meal to celebrate our adult son's birthday with friends. High quality meals & such good service made this a special occasion. Buzzing atmosphere. Only improvement would be the noise levels in the dinning area are very high but difficult to control in the space. Very busy Sunday lunchtime. Thanks to Steph and her team.

    Food was really good! We received a very friendly welcome and had great service throughout the meal. A lovely ambience with plenty of other tables. It is fast becoming one of our favourite restaurants for a family gathering.

    Excellent! Great food wine and ambience. I would particularly commend the head waitress, a French lady, who was very helpful. My partner doesn't eat shellfish and she arranged for her sea bass dish to have the shell fish removed, and my steak was the best I had had for a long time. Will definitely revisit if in the area again.

    Divine Sunday lunch, served for every appetite from meat eaters to vegetarians. They coped admirably with a very busy restaurant and the service was quick, the food delicious and the ale exceptional. Lively, with families and dogs but if you don't mind that it's the best Sunday roast locally.

    We were 4 and dinner was super as usual, if you have never been to The Seven Stars you are missing out on a beautiful village pub. Scotch eggs fabulous Whitebait beautiful Spicy prawn’s delicious Wendover Royal sausages well worth a try Venison bourguignon sublime Halloumi burger a great change from meat.

    We had a lovely time for a birthday lunch - Steph was so welcoming , friendly and funny:) Atmosphere is informal and fun. Food was delicious - really tasty and generous portions. Service was great - very nice young people. Fair pricing too. Thank you!

    Considering that it was a Monday lunchtime and we were one of only three tables being used (six people), to have the full standard menu plus two specials boards seemed excess. As seasoned diners this does not bode well for fresh produce (the staff and owners could have large appetites). It didn't need specials, although the prices for modest meals possibly offset the waste.

    Been here many times and servicec and food always excellent. On busy days you may have to wait a while for the food but always worth it. Steph is everything you want in a restaurant owner!

    First visit to the Seven Stars and what a welcome from the Team and fellow guests alike. We will certainly be becoming a regular with service, menu First class. This is what a Public House should be.

    The food was lovely, although the kids didn't like their gravy on the roast dinner or the vegetables on offer, but they're just fussy! My food was tasty, but slightly over seasoned - too much pepper on the dauphinoise and too much salt in something else, but I couldn't work out what.

    You will not eat anywhere with a better atmosphere and more willing staff. Even the other diners are friendly. Apart from the menu, there are always specials to complement the menu. Additionally, the wine is very good quality for the price charged. I mentioned at the bar that we had a nervous puppy and was immediately offered the snug. Brilliant service which is increasingly rare these days.

    This was our first time at The seven Stars. The ambience was great. Busy and with a lovely vibe. The staff were attentive and friendly, especially the manager who took the time to chat and make us feel welcome. The food was good with appropriate portions, and the desserts especially were delicious. We would come again.
