Composed along the expanse of Swansea Bay, flanked by the Gower Peninsula and Brecon Beacons, within striking distance of the fertile valleys, coastal plains and farmland of West Wales, the Waterfront City of Swansea sits at the beating heart of nature’s larder. Bounties of the season from land, sea and pasture are at our fingertips.
Our daily changing menus reflect a constant creative evolution, making use of local produce at the very place and moment of their seasonal prime. This begins in the kitchen and is realised at the table; Egalitarian, convivial and accessible to all. Full in heart and generous of spirit.

I took my daughter here after dropping her off for University. The food was fantastic and the service welcoming and kind. It was a fantastic experience and will definitely return each time I’m in Swansea. I can’t recommend it enough!

A very disappointing dinner ! Firstly I was told the Head Chef was having one of his nights off, then when we ordered our starters of Cockle fritters and the (expensive) sewin, they were very small portions and not particularly special. My wife ordered the Hake for main course and it was so salty she couldn't eat it and had to send it back for the kitchen to replace it ! Whoever cooked it was not aware of the large amount of salt they must have added!! I had the Gower lamb which was very fatty and needed to be separated from the sheets of fat to find the meat! In the restaurant there were only 4 tables of 2's occupied and no atmosphere or ambience. A shame as it was the worst dinner of our 3 day trip to Swansea, and having read the hype from the newspaper reviews, the reviewers must have been overkeen! We were expecting something special with good welsh produce. It will be interesting to see if it survives!!

Great food and amazing service throughout. The portion sizes was too large (I don’t know that’s ever happened before to me before). Many diners resorted to taking leftover food away in boxes. The range of the menu was really good and the quality of ingredients were top class. I will definitely revisit this quality restaurant, but reconsider the planned number of courses.

On arrival we were greeted by a great waitress, who made us feel welcome. She gave clear details about the specials. She was attentive and ordering was seamless. Drinks came quickly. Starters were delicious and as described. Mains - two of the party had the Onglet. The potato cakes, beef and romesco sauce were all incredibly salty - one member of the party could only eat half the dish. We raised this with the maitr’d and it was removed from the bill. We received dessert menus and then proceeded to sit for 15 minutes without service. We didn’t get our order taken until we asked a member of staff. Someone apologised for the wait and said they were short staffed. However the restaurant was not full and a waitress had spent 10 minutes laying tables for the next day rather than serving us. Two members of the party had preordered the dessert special (as advised), but were then told there was only 1 left. In fairness our desserts were removed from the bill and a complimentary drink received for the missing dessert. There is no doubt the menu is lovely and it is great to have a restaurant like this in Swansea. However we were disappointed with our experience as we had high hopes.

Service was slow, and at one point, I had to go to the bar myself to get a drink , the cured Sewin was very nice and well balanced. The main course off plaice was poor. The fish was not fresh and came from the daily board indicating to me it had been bought fresh that day but I would say it was frozen or of poor quality. The warm vingarette sauce was cold maybe because the plate was cold to. Shame really as I was expecting better for a well respected chef. Well try it again but if poor second time then that will be it for me.

Great food and overall very good. We ate a late lunch which meant the restaurant was empty other than 2 parties just finishing. Love to go back in the evening when it’s a bit busier. Local diners need to get behind this restaurant.

On arrival we were welcomed by friendly staff to a lovely table. Music was upbeat but not loud. Our food was simple, fresh and really tasty. We shared the beef, which was the best we've had in a long time, certainly the best in Swansea. Service was relaxed & warm. We will definitely be returning.
