We booked our table several days before going, we wanted Sunday lunch and booked for 3pm. When we arrived we were told that they had no Roast beef and they seated us. The rest of the menu choices for Sunday lunch were poor. What incredibly bad planning to run out of the number 1 requested item on a Sunday 3 hours into service. Because of this I would risk booking again.

Not what it used to be we have visited numerous times and brought friends out with us for a Sunday dinner, we were surprised how quiet it was but after having Sunday lunch and the service we received I now understand why it was so quiet. Not sure how they messed up so many orders when the restaurant was so quiet and the service well there was none.

Our starters took an hour to arrive, the main course about 45 minutes after that on what was a quiet night in the pub. The food was acceptable but not remarkable. This seemed to be replicated on adjacent tables. Staff (when we saw them) spent all their time offering apologies but no explanation). There was no offer to reduce the bill. The staff member operating the till struggled to operate it properly. NEVER going back.

My friend and I came for tea 01/07/24 as I’d had a Sunday dinner a couple of weeks before which was the best Sunday dinner I’d ever had 😁the young man that served us on Monday was amazing , really friendly and he is definitely a credit to you . I had fish and chips and my friend had scampi and nothing wrong with it but didn’t come away thinking that was amazing . Would definitely come again though and would definitely have a Sunday dinner here again 😁

I love this beautiful country pub, but on this occasion very disappointed with the menu and prices. Not a single salad option available so ordered 2 starters. However, very small portions and very expensive. Staff delightful, helpful, professional and efficient. The brewery needs to rethink the menu & pricing

Great food and service in comfortable surroundings. The best roast dinner we’ve had and the bonus was taking our drinks out to enjoy the garden.
