I live in Chesterfield and visit my sister in Glasgow during December. We love having a meal at this restaurant, the staff are lovely and always welcoming. The food is excellent and living south of the border, I enjoy the Scottish cuisine.
Not been for a few years, but Everything excellent , as usual.
This was our first visit to Jordanhill although we have been to their Kelvingrove restaurant on a few occasions. We were impressed with the quality of the food and the efficiency of the staff. The layout is more spacious than Kelvingrove and the decor more rustic. We shall certainly return.
Just love visiting The Sisters great food and The Team are just some of the nicest folks you could meet
Great, tasty food served by pleasant, knowledgeable staff in a characterful setting.....all round fandabbydosy !
Found it very difficult to park at the rear of the restaurant. Not the most pleasant of car parks. Decor of restaurant was nice and waitress was attentive. Service seemed be very slow. Some of the party had ordered a starter it was a long wait for food. It was again, a long wait for main course. We were given some bread while we waited but it just whetted our appetite. I personally, was not enamoured with my main course but rest of the party seemed happy.
The biggest problem was the wait between causes.
Lovely atmosphere, great service and delicious locally sourced food, nom nom!
Excellent food but service was below par. Wasn’t that busy but delays being asked for next course choices, water when asked, bill was terrible. There for pre-theatre and delay leaving (estimate 30-40 min) meant nearly missed theatre. Possibly junior waitress for section vs establishment.
Have been a patron of this restaurant for over 10 years now, it has never disappointed. Staff are always friendly and helpful, I love the relaxed ambience which this restaurant delivers.
Had lovely meal in Sisters on Friday afternoon, fab food, relaxed atmosphere. Pre-theatre menu available till 6.30 includes 2 course & glass of wine for £15.95, well worth every penny. Would love to have had dessert but full after our 2 courses, never leave feeling hungry. Not my first visit & certainly won't be my last. Would definately recommend The Sisters for a relaxed bite to eat or a special occasion.
Wednesday evening with family. Another excellent meal. Last out but did not feel hurried at any time. Will be back.
Had a lovely lunch with friends, so looking forward to going back :-)
We had a lovely Sunday dinner at The Sisters, fantastic food, good service and great value, we will definitely return !
We had a lovely relaxing family meal which was very good value. Great selection on the pre theatre menu, good food, only one of us was disappointed about the main course of ham which was a bit dry . Very good service, would definitely return .
Excellent food.excellent service.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The service at The sisters was, as ever, friendly and efficient. We felt welcome in the restaurant. There were no long waiting times and the menu was well explained. The food itself was delicious. I had lamb, which melted in the mouth! And the desserts! Out of this world! I would definitely recommend this restaurant, both for lunches and for evening meals.
Food was average which was disappointing.
Starters were reasonably good, however potatoes with the black pudding starter were unnecessary. It made it a very big plate of food.
I had the lamb which was delicious, my wife had the sirloin steak which was over cooked. My friends both had the chicken and haggis and they thought it was a little tough . Desserts were a delight, clootie dumpling and the trifle were fantastic . The young staff were brilliant. Very attentive and weren't rushing around mad. Totally in control.. overall a tad disappointing as we were really looking forward to the meal.. will try the kelvingrove restaurant at one point. Tried to go there on Saturday night however it was fully booked.
We have visited both the Jordanhill and Kelvingrove restaurants and always had a good night. In fact, we initially turned up at the wrong one. It's good when the server asks whether you would like a break before ordering sweets rather than trying to get you to order straight away which sadly happens in many restaurants
Excellent value for money. Consistently good food and good ambience
We enjoyed an excellent meal, with helpful staff checking we were happy with everything.
we would recommend the Sisters
Only minor criticism was that the young waitress nearly took away an unfinished glass of wine while clearing other emptyglasses. Otherwise great food and service.
We arrived a bit early but were shown right away to our table.
Staff were welcoming and friendly.
Food was very good with nice intervals between courses.
Would highly recommend.
As per usual the service was wonderful, my only criticism would be that the portions of lamb served on the day were pretty small. However you cannot fault the preparation and care taken with everything else. Will definitely be back.
Very nice place. We wanted a classy but quiet place to have lunch with cousins we haven't seen for years. The venue at lunchtime was perfect.
Great value and brilliant food.
Lovely restaurant and excellent choice on menu. Discreet and pleasant service.
Hubby and I had a wonderful meal, some of it out of the ordinary, some of it comfort food and a scrumptious desert. The staff were lovely and we really enjoyed our night.
Lovely meal and absolutely fantastic service. Recommend the lamb shoulder
First class food.
Very good service.
Staff could not have been more helpful.
Great food, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere.
This restaurant never disappoints and this was the first visit for some of my relatives and they will definitely go back.
Regular clientele seemed to be ok with food.
Food palatable but bland.
Had a better steak at Wetherspoons.
Didn't think was value for money.
Took my mum to the sisters restaurant for brunch. I had been there before but it was my mums first time. She loved her starter of fish cakes with a curried mayonnaise equally my pâté with oatcakes was delicious . Our main of Ayrshire ham , Savoy cabbage and mash was really tasty and excellent value. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to friends.
the staff were realy friendly cnt fault them in anyway 1st class service and meal was realy nice
Great food. Staff are lovely and didn't hurry us at all. Nice atmosphere.
Nothing was too much trouble for Rachel who made sure my "Intolerance" requirements were taken into consideration. Full marks to the kitchen staff who delivered fabulous dishes on the night.
Wonderful food, nice relaxed atmosphere and reliably high standard of service
It was our 30th wedding anniversary. The food was amazing the service was first class.
Would definitely go back.
So a friend recommended!
Delicious food, warm friendly atmosphere and excellent service.
Superb venue, good quality produce, excellant sized portions, the BEST clootie dumpling i have had in years and fantastic value for money.
I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen for a while, she has never been and she was blown away by both the food and the service. We will definitely be back.
