Sorry we didnt make it to the Sisters this time due to the snow and our car being stuck on the drive in Yorkshire, however I will give it 5 stars based on our previous visits which have always been sublime.
Fantastic food and equally fantastic service a real gem of a real authentic Scottish focus restaurant- exceptional and highly recommended.
Food is always outstanding and the service is wonderful, very helpful and pleasant. Menus suit all tastes and the selection of local produce is well thought out and most importantly, delicious. Bravo Sisters.
A bit disappointed with quality of food. Been here many times this was the worst. Service was great and changed main course without fuss.
The Sisters never disappoints and would highly recommend it to anyone. Lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and most importantly delicious food. On this occasion we were there for the pre-theatre menu which is fabulous value. A fabulous restaurant and will definitely be returning.
We have visited the restaurant on several occasions and have never been disappointed.
A beautiful lunch menu served in lovely surroundings by pleasant staff - good value too!
Food was fantastic and service very friendly and warm.
Overall a pleasant experience but I had bones in my fish which downgraded my view of the restaurant.
Staff very friendly and worked well with a large group. Great experience
Lovely food and great service. Very good value as well. The only slight negative was that the food was served perhaps a little too hot.
Affordable fine dining in a cosy but stylish atmosphere (the grey booths are lovely). We had the superbly valued 2 course Sunday Menu in the early evening. The pakora and sensational raita - my son says he could have eaten a whole dining plate of them! Highly recommend it.
Had a lovely meal at The Sisters on Saturday 14/9/17- Pre Theatre. Lovely warm welcome and excellent service. Would recommend the homemade loaf starter. My friend and I cleared our plates at each course. We both agreed that this was the best meal we'd had in a long time. Food is all local ingredients cooked well. Always a great experience and hope to be back soon!! Thank you.
Second visit and not disappointed with the service and food. Lovely restaurant.
Great service, beautiful dining room, and great value lunch menu. Have been a number of times and always a first class dining experience. Went for wedding anniversary and lovely touches like the specially decorated pudding really made my day. Attentive friendly service and food so tasty. One of my fave restaurants.
Lovely food, excellent service with care and attention and waitress had great sense of humour as well as being informative about menu. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening my second visit, but first for our guests who were very impressed. Look forward to returning soon.
First visit - delighted with evening. Food delicious wine very good and inexpensive. Staff and service excellent. Will definitely be back.
Sisters never disappoints! Great food, excellent service & lovely comfortable surroundings.
Wonderful food, thoughtful service, lovely cozy room ... the finest Scottish ingredients and creative cooking in a welcoming and low key atmosphere ... this restaurant has tons of character and charm. Start to finish everything about this bistro is a treat.
I had the duck leg confit which was perfectly spiced and delectable. My husband had the chorizo and chicken liver pate which was silky with great depth and spice followed by the gorgeous duo of lamb. They were happy to make a plate of simple chicken and chips for our ten-year-old. We had a cozy candlelit table with street views and people watching in this west end nabe.
Next time in Glasgow we will definitely have another meal at this gracious, cool, creative restaurant. Great experience.
We had an excellent meal in quiet surroundings; we'll be back...
Lovely meal for anniversary, food never disappoints, table at window as requested and hand written message in chocolate on dessert plates as a nice touch.service friendly and efficient.set pre theatre very good value.wine prices reasonable for restaurant of this standing.lovely easy atmosphere.Toilets are always spotless.love this restaurant.😘
I think the food was not quite as good or imaginative as when we were there 2 years previously, but still tasty .
WE had a party of 9 the service was good considering there seemed to be only one server. I thought the food was maybe a wee bit rushed in the kitchen. Pity the menu has changed and there are several items that are now add ons where they used to be included in the menu price. None of that will stop me going back.
My two guests were on a world tour, both Australians.
I decided two introduce them at The Sisters as I had been a couple of times for birthday meals and was delighted with them.
Glad to say they thought my choice of venue was ideal and we all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.
It was the first time both of them had tasted haggis and were quite taken with it.
The waitress was very pleasant and knowledgeable.
This was the only night we booked a restaurant in Glasgow. It was the last night of two weeks travel together and wanted it to be special. I had booked the restaurant about two months before our trip and was really looking forward to an outstanding meal. The rest of our trip had been to the Highlands and the Outer Hebrides and we had had wonderful food. My point is I don't know what to expect with food in Glasgow and we had just been next to the source of our food- very fresh seafood! So The Sisters was a disappointment. The food was just fine, but not wow.
Early evening menu is excellent value for money. Panna cotta was bland, and broccoli was not oven roasted but everything else was first class. Would definitely go back.
The food was really lovely, well cooked and well presented
Value for money and staff make you feel very welcome.
We spent a week touring Scotland, and this was our very last meal in the country. We clearly saved the best for last. The best haggis I had during our visit to Scotland, and chicken and carrots that came with it were delicious; the trio, with a little extra added mashed potato, melted in the mouth and blended perfectly. The clooty pudding was amazing - light, but with a dark treacle flavor and delicious fruit. I, personally, would have preferred it with clotted cream over the vanilla ice cream, but the ice cream was delicious in its own right. I suspect that a lot of people like pure sweet for their sweets. The best restaurant coffee. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We saw both businessmen and families there for a late lunch, as we were. The decor is muted and comfortable, leaving the attention to be on one another and on the food. This was a real delight!
Great service. Delicious food. Staff made a special effort for my mum's birthday. Much appreciated. Only minor request would be for a more substantial vegetarian offering. The portion size was very small compared to the meat and fish dishes on the menu.
Had a great meal with friends at the Sisters restaurant, service and food were very good. Would recommend this restaurant.
A mid week catch up with friend. Ambience just right as there was no loud music to fight over. Pre theatre menu was imaginative and beautifully cooked. Only gripe was the slow and somewhat inattentive service..at least there was an apology.
Lovely lunch, food was delicious, attentive service, lovely table settings. Was not busy at all when we went. It is quite small so don't know if it would feel a bit cramped when full.
went for a Sunday lunch. A smaller selection of food, found enough to choose from and the food was excellent. Very attentive but not intrusive service, very helpful.
Have tried to go in the evenings but always fully booked for weeks. Will still try to go for an evening meal
Superb - the venison is a must to try - fabulous overall experience
Whenever we visit Glasgow, this is our 'destination' restaurant. The pre-theatre menu is unbeatable for quality food that is excellent value for money. The staff are friendly but no over-intrusive and the location is handy for all the West End attractions.
Simple well cooked food, elegant and homely at the same time
Great food and great service, would definitely recommend!
The food was brilliant, as was our professional server Jane. Locally grown Scottish fare that tasted wonderful, with a cosy and tasteful interior made for a lovely evening. Having Jane entertain us with her wit and charm whilst educating us about the area really made for a memorable occasion.
Excellent service and food. Very cosy and friendly place with some class.
