This is definitely the best Sunday lunch anywhere in the area, by some margin. The beef is delicious, potatoes, veg and cauliflower cheese incredible and the Yorkshire puddings and stunning gravy are stunning! You have to go and I promise you won't want to go anywhere else Delicious

We were looking for somewhere local to have Sunday lunch. Over the past few months we’d been trying all of the restaurants/ pubs in the area to find out ‘favourite’. Six is at the top of the list. The food was amazing. The roast beef and in particular the gravy is sublime. We were too stuffed for dessert! The staff were very friendly and service was at the right pace between courses. The only minor point was it lacked a little ambience as it was very quiet, which surprised us given how good the food is. We can’t wait to bring family and friends here, as we know they’ll also think Six is a great find!

Excellent food (halibut perfectly cooked in delicious sauce with mussels, samphire etc). Very strange to see so few people dining here at 8pm on a Saturday night when the food is so good!

Food was very good but service and atmosphere let’s this restaurant down a little. Had to tell 4 different people that we had a table booked and each went off to find out but only one person came back! Tables feel a little like they are in the hotel reception lobby (I think they actually are) which was a little strange atmosphere wise. Overall good food but a few minor tweaks could make a huge difference.

The perfect location and charming atmosphere. Sunday dinner menu was quite limited however everyone was able to choose what they liked - meat, fish or vegetarian options. We enjoyed the food and service was absolutely fantastic.

The restaurant is nice and very close to Hampton court. The dining room is bright and nice, and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately many of the dish on the menu were sold out when we visited, which was an issue for one of our friends that is vegetarian. Also, we booked an “experience” menu via OpenTable, but when we mentioned it to the staff they did not know what the offer entailed.

Mums birthday and although there was a private party the staff looked after us which was lovely. A big thank you to Gertrude for all her her work. We felt very comfortable and the food was so fresh

Our dinner was booked for 6.30, when we arrived there was a twice-postponed office party going on which had started at 1.00pm. It was very rowdy, but we naively thought that it would finish soon, and that as we would be seated in a separate part of the premises we should have been able to enjoy our supper. With hindsight, we should have left. The food was good - promptly served and very adequate. But there was no manager on duty, and no one to rein in the raucousness. At least 4 diners came in, but left almost immediately after being seated. Several of the party guests came to the room in which we were seated to make phone calls, or to try and find the loo whilst aiming to stay upright: they did cause a lot of unnecessary distraction and unease. I can understand the restaurant needing to maximise takings after the appalling time they have had during covid, but honestly, they must think about their other guests too. The staff who were there were very sweet and apologetic, but ultimately unable to do anything about the disruptive behaviour. The lack of management response means that we shall probably not dine there again.

A wonderful roast lamb and cauliflower steak for Sunday lunch. The experience was fabulous; however, my one bone of contention was with the cauliflower steak which should have been steaks...the dish was so delicious BUT far too small. All seemed a bit disorganised possibly due to a large and rowdy family group who were just finishing up when we arrived. Staff were pleasant and friendly but didn’t seem aware of the set menu offer through OpenTable and this caused some minor issues for the restaurant when we were paying the bill. The Sunday Roast was generally good but there were a couple of things that could be improved. The beef was exceptionally pink to the point of being raw which was okay for me but would not suit everyone and the only other option we were given was ‘well done’. My mother took that option but was disappointed to find that the beef had been sliced and pan fried which left an unpleasant after taste and texture. The large Yorkshire puddings looked impressive but were over cooked. These were small things overall that could easily be improved. The wine list was decent but I had to ask for a drinks menu. Despite the issues noted above, we did enjoy the our meals and the portion size was good. Would go again but probably on the a la carte menu.

This was a last minute booking, and the first time at six, very nice restaurant , quiet, staff very helpful and friendly, food was good although I was a little bit dissapointed with my fish and chips as it didn't have any flavour at all, but it wasn't greasy, chips were crispy and peas and tartare were tasty. Maybe it was just a bad batch of fish??? Overall our experience was good and would go back again.

The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Some of the tables are quite close together as the overall space isn’t large. The serving staff were friendly but didn’t seem very experienced (for example no offer to try the wine once uncorked) and were not very smart in their appearance which lets the kitchen down a little.
